Eric snow ranked them
10. Kevin Johnson and Deron Williams
9. Robert Pack
8. Derrick Rose
7. Allen Iverson
6. Russel Wesbrook
5. Kenny Smith
4. Baron Davis
3. Steve Francis
2. Spud Webb
1. Nate Robinson
I don't agree at all, I'd put it like this:
10. Smush Parker
9. Kevin Johnson
8. Kenny Smith
7. Spud Webb (JUST THE SMALLEST SLAM DUNK CHAMPION OF ALL TIME)
6. Nate Robinson (he has 5-6 dunks a year, so can't put him any higher)
5. Dee Brown
4. Robert Pack
3. Baron Davis
2. Derrick Rose (I'm sure he'll be number 1 soon)
1. Steve Francis
What would your list look like?
How can you not have Russel Westbrook because "hes only dunked like twice this season", but have Deron Williams?
Yeah, sorry, I think I'll have Smush at 10, completely forgot about him, he had some sick dunks
if it is top 10 dunking pgs in slam dunk contest then nate is first, but if it is in game dunkers then i must go with Francis.... in his prime he was most explosive pg in nba......
Ya i agree...D Rose will be #1 very soon....that guy could win a dunk contest at the All-Star game if he really wanted too.
Eric Snow got it completely wrong. How does he have Allen Iverson ahead of Derrick Rose!!!!!!!!!!
snow wasn't really talking about current players really. just giving some love to the old guys who probably can't dunk anymore.
Steve nash 1st, his step brother BD 2nd, Tp 3rd.
eric blow is a retard like 4 real
Russel Westbrook has only dunked twice this season??????? Haha more like twice a game. Westbrook and Rose are the most explosive guards since Franchise
Westbrook is an awesome dunker..
he dunks like twice a game hahaaha
dont know how many of you guys watched in the mid 90's, but robert pack was nasty. baron davis would have been extra sick with the dunks if not for the torn acl he suffered in college after he threw it down real hard on michigan. Francis and rose might be my top 2. Westbrook's 2 best dunks i've seen were in college one against oregon and one against cal where he brought the house down.
wow eric snow was a damn good defender and did a ok job of leading a team. No he wasn't an allstar or even close to it but he was a servicable player on a championship caliber team.
Westbrook is explosive as hell thats for sure, but he HASN'T dunked much in the NBA, I've watched almost all the Thunder games this season. When he's one on one with the basket he usually passes the ball and when he uses his athletisism to get to the rim the just lays it in. How many times has he been in the daily top 10 this season with a dunk?
That list was ridiculous. Nate Robinson does not belong on that list. He dunks the ball a handful of times a year, and he shouldn't have won any of the dunk contests he participated in. Spud probably doesn't belong there either. I grew up in Houston and watched a lot of Rockets ball, but as great a dunker Franchise was he wasn't as good as Baron Davis. Davis would go chest to chest with people and crush it or put down windmills on the break, where Francis did pretty simple dunks or dunked on people who didn't jump 'cause they were looking to take the charge. KJ needs to be way higher on the list. As explosive as Rose is, he doesn't get a lot of dunks. That dunk he had against the Suns this year was filthy, but he needs to show me more before he can be on a top 10 list. Same with Westbrook. Yeah he's athletic, but all of his dunks are simple 1 or 2 handers and he never dunks on anyone. This list staright sucks.
which one of those PG's has done this before????
midwestbbscout, i think in respect to derrick rose they were talking quantity over quality. Rose is a great dunker but he doesn't dunk more than once a game. Sometimes he does have a game with like 5 dunks though.
Spud Webb should be about 654th on the list....and Robert Pack should be number 1....Pack was nice I forgot about him....
Westbrook has more then 2 dunks this season by far but I dont know if he dunks every game. He might have the most putback dunks for a point guard this season I have seen him do plenty of put back dunks this season.
also, penny played pg the entire before he went to phoenix and had injury issues. He had some nice dunks for a pg.
He will crack that list soon enough...
I saw a list at CBSsportsline that said 'up to date' but didn't give a date. The list was as follows:
Howard led the league with 181
Evans had 20, Ellis had 17...kind of point guards. Kobe had 36 to put in perspective a little.
I guess that gives Rose quantity AND quality...
