So he iced the game with a big rebound. How many times this tournament has Hayward iced a game? When time expires he always seems to have the ball in his hands. 2 game ending steals and a game ending rebound. pretty big
Yea I think it is safe to say he is the next LeBron ;)
Check that...LeBron with the clutchness of Kobe. Damn lets just tote him the next Jordan.
What I like about Hayward is that he's not just a scorer. He does a little of everything. He rebounds and even though he's not a great defender, he competes at that end. Morgan was in foul trouble half of the game, but he fought against Morgan, Roe and Green all game... All bigger, stronger and more athletic (not Green) players. He had a couple of key blocks and steals.
You have to like his toughness.
Tezo, aren't you at the games??? How are you posting????
He made a bunch of good plays this game. He doesn't have any glaring weaknesses in his skill set and it showed today. I knew they'd win after MSU couldn't take the lead after that damn near 10 min scoring drought
I'm posting from my phone. I guess that's the beauty of having a phone I'm probably paying way too much for lol.
wow that's awesome. I am glad you are alive because that first game was intense.
It wasn't THAT intense... Other than when the horn sounded, it was kind of boring to be honest with you. Talk about a bad scoring drought for both teams.
If you are a Butler fan and you have a pulse then that game HAD to be intense lol cmon
let a guy like Hayward get away...put him on the list next to George Hill,Dominuque James,Robbie Hummel and countless other over the past few years!
Huge Hoosier fan....but GO BUTLER! Cut those nets down on Monday night
LOL. Indiana needs to update their unis if they want to recruit. Seriously, it is not 1995 anymore.
But hey, atleast they have footb.............nevermind. LMAO.
both teams the last 10 minutes played aweful offense but hayward did do great at the end getting the rebound to seal the game but next lebron no way not strong enough or talented enough can he dunk like lbj i didnt see it
going out on a limb, but ak47
Gordon's rebounding was huge in that game.....
Indiana has done a TERRIBLE job recruiting players from our on state... A state that's rich in basketball talent. I could make a huge list of players we missed out on. We didn't even recruit Luke Harangody until the last minute and he was a Hoosiers fan his whole entire life.
The transition from Bob Knight to Mike Davis really messed us up. It also didn't make things any better that Mike Davis ignored the talent in the state. He was more interested in recruiting in Alabama and chasing the top recruits in the country, than recruiting in our own backyard. He didn't even recruit Dominic James (Richmond, IN) or Josh McRoberts (Carmel, Indiana)... What about Courtney Lee and George Hill... Both from Indianapolis, Indiana. He didn't recruit Rodney Carney (Indianapolis) either. Sean May said Mike Davis didn't recruit him either... He just expected him to attend IU because his father played for IU. He didn't want to recruit Mike Conley, which just totally threw any chance of us getting Greg Oden out of the window because we all know they were a package deal. Even though Mike Davis had a great recruiting class in 2004 (Josh Smith (NBA), DJ White, Marshall Strickland and AJ Ratliff... He just really blew it for us. He made no relationships in the state.
Then we bring Kelvin Sampson in here and you already know how that went. Tom Crean is working his ass off right now and is making progress in the state, but it's going to take some time. We're going after Marcus Teague and the youngest Zeller brother REALLY hard.
the whole crappy recruiting thing won't be long for IU don't worry....I would trust Tom Crean with my recruiting any day of the week.....
He has his job cut out for him though with the success of Purdue, Butler and Notre Dame. Butler is getting A LOT of publicity right now and I think they're on the verge of becoming the new IU.
Maurice Creek is awesome. Too bad, if he would have stayed healthy Indiana would have made the NIT.
Maurice Creek is the man....Verdy Jones is awesome too....got all of them to go there knowing that the team would be god awful for at least 2 years....
Indiana is in good hands with Tom Crean. As much as MU fans hated to see him go, Buzz seems like a great replacement for him.
