im a bit of homer for this, but ryan hollins might be the second most athletic center in the league. He runs and jumps like a sf and was a high jumper for UCLA's track team.
Oh &$#%#&@!, yea I forgot about him and I'm a T-Wolves fan. He def. is worthy of being on the list.
i think serge ibaka is more athletic than blake griffin and one of the most athletic players in the league
lamar odom??? that dude is sooooo athletic
Just what I was thinking GatHator. But Blake is really athletic too
If you put Rondo you have to add Roddy Beaubois who catches alley oop as a 6-1 guard and is hella quick.
JR Smith should definitely be higher than Rip Hamilton. Just because you run a lot doesn't mean that you are athletic. Athleticism is mostly about speed, quickness, and jumping ability and I know that JR Smith and many of the other SGs on your list are faster, quicker, and can jump higher than Rip Hamilton.
No Hakim Warrick or Rudy Gay? I think Gerald would be above Iggy, IMO. No T-Mac or Vinsanity?
It is a crime to have Rip or D Wade in front of Shannon Brown as athletes. Shannon is in my mind one of the top 5 athletes in the game. Great first step and absolutely ridiculous vertical, wouldn't be suprised if it is 45+
You can not put Nate Robinson on the first team. His ridiculous athleticism is the only thing that allows him to compete.
You can have your arguments guys, I'm fine with that. Fact is they are all exceptional athletes. Personally, I think Wade is a better athlete than Nate. Size plays into athleticism as well. Wade is one of the best finishers in the game, one of the quickest guys in the league, one of the fastest guys in the league, very strong, and a hustler.
Arrest me than Bville lol. I just think there are not many players in this league who will/can run the whole game at the rate he does, still play defense, and still have the strength/mindset/balance to shoot accurately like he does. He is the best off ball player in the league, bar none. Athleticism (endurance and balance mostly but that is still athleticism) has a great deal to do with that.
D-Wade...if you read my list you will clearly see that VC and Gay are still there. McGrady not near the athlete he once was. At one point he would have been on either 1st or 2nd team but now his athleticism had greatly faded through no fault of his own. Hakim is a very good athlete but he didn't make my list. And then IDK if Gerald is even still in the NBA is he?
PF- B. Griffin
i feel that sam young is a pretty underrated athlete
jordan farmar has a 42 inch vert
Having played with Sam Young, I think he is a decent athlete but not great. I mean the guy can jump, but he is not the fastest or quickest guy I have played with. I mean looking at his eyes and the way he talks too, I thought he was kinda slow mentally too but the guy is actually very smart. His pump fake is pretty crazy and thats how he gets most of his separation. He's an underrated shooter though, powerful dunker (he is a big dude in person, pretty jacked), and just a smooth dude.
This list is gonna get a bit biased because of how much success some players are having in the league.
If its going by pure athleticism Serge Ibaka has to be on the first team. Honestly He might bet the most athletic player in the league. Either first or second to LeBron. After all he has a 46 or 48 inch vert
Griffin? really? He hasn't played a single game this season. We saw him dominate in college but then again. So did Beasley. So did Kwame.
Which college was Kwame dominating at? I must have missed that when he straight from HS to the NBA.
Athleticism is not all about the Vert just so yall know. Gotta account for stamina, speed, quickness, strength, balance, size...etc.
Its kinda the combination of all that in one package. If I was listing who had the highest verts I would have labeled the post "NBA All-Vert team" or something like that.
Tyrus has to be higher.....personally I can't consider Griffin even b/c he has never played an NBA game...Westbrook has to be in there....and Gay....Jason Richardson with the grandfather clause even though he can barely dunk these days....
Oh yeah and Tyson Chandler has to be some sort of center on here....
serge ibaka has all of that to go along with his 46 vert....overall game is another story though
Confused Kwame with Stromile Swift.
