2010 NBA Draft's biggest topic
disagree wif cole aldrich being tha bust i actually think he is one of tha most complete players n this draft
but i agree i think evan turner is tha franchise player
biggest bust im gonna go wif aminu, i just dnt think he has that take over menatlity
hidden gem im gonna go wif paul george, u guys gotta realize he was projected as a top 5 pick n tha early season, but he is playing wif a bunch of guys wif 0 talent.
Franchise player: John Wall
Biggest Bust: Greg Monroe
Hidden Gem: Greivis Vasquez
Franchise Player- Demarcus Cousins
Biggest Bust- Patrick Patterson
Hidden Gem- J.P. Prince (I agree w/ Landesburg too but I didn't want to pick the same thing)
love Lace Dunn as a hidden gem.....
Franchise Player - Evan Turner
Biggest Bust - Hassan Whiteside (If He Declares)
Hidden Gem - Aubrey Coleman
Franchise Player-John Wall
Biggest Bust-Xavier Henry(just think he needs a long time time to adapt maybe 3 or 4 years) he should come out next year or maybe the year after the NBA isnt going anywhere
Hidden Gem-Kemba Walker if he declares I think he'll be a hell of a back up and future starter with maybe 2 or 3 all star appearances. I'm very high on him.............am I the only one
Franchise Player: John Wall
Biggest Bust: Donatas Motiejunas
Hidden Gem: Aubrey Coleman
Thoughts?
Already said Coleman....
Already said Coleman....
Already said Coleman....
Franchise Player: John Wall
Biggest Bust: Aldrich
Hidden Gem: Jan vesley
Franchise Player 1 John Wall
This is a pretty obvious pick to for Wall to be a franchise player. This is mostly due to the fact that point guards have been big picks over the last few years and GMs hold as much weight in a good guard as they do a good big man. Wall has flash and style but I do not think he will be effective in the NBA without a good big man (Brook Lopez) or 2 guard that shoots threes and plays off the ball. Just like Derrick Rose suffered without Ben Gordon to spread the floor John Wall will have the same problem due to the lack of his ability to stretch the floor with his own 3.
Franchise Player 2
Number 2 Option Evan Turner
Evan Turner could be a number one option and wouldn't hurt his playing. He is a sleek and smooth and slices and dices the defense. My favorite player out of this draft. Just like Brandon Roy and if you say Brandon Roy is a number one option then i would have to say if you put Brandon Roy next to Kevin Durant I think both there numbers and overall play would be better.
Key Role Player: Cole Aldrich
Cole will never be a studded star. But look at his numbers on a winning team in Kansas. But the fact that he does the dirty work, doesn't shy away from contact , runs the lanes on the break and decent free throw shooting show that he is a quality 3 to 4 option on a team that does not have any wholes in his game. I would expect him to have an 8 point 8 rebound 2 block guy his first year in the league.
Hidden Gem: Matt Bouldin
Now some people will be surprised but i have a reasonable explanation. He is 6-5 got great passing skills, can hit the three and is a great role player. He would be a solid back up and can play either 1 or the 2.
Most Versatile at position: Greg Monroe
This kid has game but the only reason i am scared is he seems to be soft and not strong enough for the nba. But he could be the best player in the draft IF he sews up those two areas. Who ever drafts him has to be patient.
Great Game Bad Sport: DeMarcus Cousin, He could be the best player in the draft based on his physical frame, foot work and skill. But is he the next Kwame Brown......... Idk but i'm really scared
High Risk High Reward: Derrick Favor, He is a great rebounder and his trainer says that after training both Josh Smith and Dwight Howard that Favors is the best at this point. I hope it pans out but we will see.
franchise-turner due to the fact that you can win titles with a basic pg plus i just think turner has the higest ceiling
bust-bledsoe if he declares and goes first round hes a 6'0(probably 5'10 or 11 sg
hidden gem- of course vasquez- has alot of moves even though hes not the fastest and as a 6'6 pg can see over all other pg and is very very very well at finding a mna. might be the best in college basketball. get smore ast with less talent then wall
next Kwame Brown???? that is absurd....
hey guys. im new to this, but ive been going on this site for the past 2 years to read everybodys thoughts.
but now im on here to start putting in my input.
franchise player: john wall
biggest bust: john wall
hidden gem: tough but id have to say dennis clemente, i feel no one brings his name up, and hes not really a hidden gem per say, but no one talks about him! not saying hes gonna be great in the nba, but he could be a solid backup player! his game i think fits more NBA style than college!
yessir, obviously hes going to be good.probably even an allstar! is he going to be what everyone expected, no sir. ive heard things such as being the next magic johnson! thats absurd, ive heard people say on this site hes gonna be one of the best pgs in a few years, and i think thats crazy as well! i could be wrong, and hope i am, cause i like his game, but hes a bust because of all the hype he is getting!
dont get me wrong, i do think j. wall is going to be good, and a franchise player! and i might be confusing u guys by saying hes going to be a bust in the nba. my fault. but, who actually knows for a fact that any of the guys said on here is going to be a bust? nobody! all the players on here that are said to be "busts" could be great players. you obviously dont know, so i obviously dont know if wall is going to be the next best pg to ever live, but all im saying is i feel hes going to be a bust to what people are making him out to be. such as the next magic johnson, etc etc. lol if that doesnt make sense.... what i mean is, hes not going to live up to all this hype!! making him a bust....(i obviously could be wrong like i said)
can't get up like Wall....I never heard that comparison and I'm glad b/c I would be that much dumber if I did.....
I don't get why there are soooo many character questions about Cousins' character???? yeah he is arrogant and kind of a cry baby and maybe not the brightest crayon in the box.....but he always plays hard.....and I don't follow him around campus all day but I'm assuming he works hard on his game because he has a list of post moves about 20 deep....he didn't just wake up one morning with perfect post footwork.....
Worst Case Scenario
*They all go hop on motorcycles and crash into a tree
Point being you cant predict who is going to be a bust
EDIT: "everyone in this draft and evry draft has a bust factor. hopefully none of them become bust"
^EXACTLY^
EDIT: But everybody including myself has there suspicions on who will be a bust lol
Now that I think about it more I'm goin with this.....mostly b/c I was looking at only second rounders as hidden gems....
Franchise Player: DeMarcus Cousins
Most Likely to Bust: Wes Johnson or Devin Ebanks
Hidden Gem: Gani Lawal
MIdwest I respect your opinion, but I think DeMarcus Cousins is either going to be a Franchise Player or a bust w/o middle ground. His attitude drives me nuts as to why I don't think he'll succeed in the NBA. Though his skills and body is what makes me think he's the best Center coming into the NBA since Dwight Howard, I would say Greg Oden, but the injury bug hasn't been nice to Oden at all. I feel unless he doesn't shape up his attitude he will be in for a rude awakening in the NBA.
his cocky attitude is SOMEWHAT worrisome....but at the same time it will probably pass....he won't be 19 years old forever....did you by chance see the UK press conference yesterday????
Franchise Player=Evan Turner
Bust=Hassan Whiteside or Montie
Hidden Gem=Vasquez or Epke Udoh
