Gordan Hayward vs. Kyle Singler
Both are players with great shooting mechanics and range, but have struggled shooting this year, and are not especially athletic. Which do you think will be a better pro?
I am leaning towards Gordan Hayward. He is more athletic and a better rebounder. He also has a better first step and finishes around the rim much better, with an 18% better 2 point fg%.
They are nearly the exact same player/prospect, but Hayward does seem better. He's slightly quicker and more athletic.
I take Hayward... faster and ALOT stronger.
I doubt he's stronger than Singler IMO, Singler can play the low post while Hayward doesn't.
haha i was literally gonna ask this question....its quite funny actually hoe singler was a top 5 recruit outta HS and hayward was a kid outta indiana....i would take hayward w/ his play this tourny and his length
id take shingler. more proven better scorer. reminds me of luke walton. maybe ill change my mind if i watch the other kid more
i wonder what shingler would be doing in that conference on butlers team
Singler is stronger, Hayward is more athletic. Singler is a much better shooter from deep
For starters... Singler is nearly two years older, so of course he's going to be stronger. We have to remember that Hayward had a very late growth spurt and is still growing into his body.
Neither have great lateral quickness, but I think Hayward has better lateral quickness than Singler. Hayward is a better athlete in my opinion due to his body control. He also has way more length. Singler isn't very long at all, which makes him even more of a liability on defense. The measurements part of the draft combine aren't going to be very kind to Singler. Hayward is the better rebounder too.
I think Hayward has more upside and is the better NBA prospect, but who's better now probably depends on whoever is shooting the ball better.
