Ed Davis Comparison

I was looking at the Mocks, and they have Ed Davis NBA comparison down as PJ Brown. Looking at him play in a few Carolina games this year, his current skill set reminds me of Dale Davis (during his Clemson days). Just wanted to know what everyone else thoughts were on this subject.

PJ

PJ is a great comparison.

He also reminds me of Jordan Hill and Andris Biedrins.

Pj

P.J is good comparison. I saw him at a Mcdonalds in Miami when he played here. He is very very tall.

I think if he stays next year, he will look alot like Emeka Okafor.

Who thinks he stays, or goes?

How can he compare to

How can he compare to Branden Wright or Jordan Hill...neither of those guys have played enough or impacted the NBA enough to warrent consideration of a comparison. I also like the PJ Brown comparison. Its hard to compare Ed Davis because he hasnt really played all that much in his college career...he didnt play a great deal his Freshmen yr and his Soph year was cut short by injury. I hope he stays another year, because he could develop alot more and become a force in the ACC (and UNC would be sweet with him and Barnes). I could see him being an Al Horford type of player in the league...not a flashy player, but a solid 12 to 15 points and 7 to 10 rebounds.

I see Davis as a total bust,

I see Davis as a total bust, he has no right hand and is totally lost on offense on the right block because of it. He has no intensity and seems to have no fire, I see him being eaten alive in the NBA without any intensity. He is solid on defense but he needs to gain weight. He has alot of room to improve but right now I just don't see it. Not really sure who to compare him to.

Biggy

Uhhh... So??? Eddie Davis has a comparable game/style/physical profile to Jordan Hill. Who cares if Hill hasn't had a big impact in the NBA, that has nothing to do with the comparison.
