doesnt make sense..

how is Evan Turner compared to Tayshaun Prince and Willie warren to Chauncey Billiups?

Evan Turner plays the lead guard in college and is not really regarded for his defense as prince is.. and warren is a natural 2 guard and def cant run a team like chauncey

but i did like that you put Cousins ahead of wall..i said it in the beginning of the season and still believe cousins has a higher ceiling than wall and anybody else in the nation

Turner

Is not the explosive athlete that Hill was, but otherwise it's an ok comparison.

nothin wrong w/ DC

idk how old you are but Derrick Coleman could ball back in the day.....yeah - the attitude but I wouldn't consider being compared to Derrick Coleman an insult.....

lets keep in mind that nobody is going to be an exact comparison for anyone....

lol

Of course I know who he is...He was very good no doubt. I'm just saying that if your compared to D-Cole usually means you are talented but have mental issues which Favors doesn't.

midwest I like your skinny

midwest I like your skinny on Larry Sanders because I root for Hofstra a CAA school, so I get to see VCU 1-2 times a year. I don't think he is that great, and he is not big, tall and long yes, but not big. He has the body to be good if he can add 20 pounds on his frame as well as having a better basketball IQ he has only been playing basketball since he was 16. He also has an attitude problem, in part the new coach.

Midwest being a Hofstra fan, I would like to hear your view on Charles Jenkins' Hofstra's star junior combo guard. I think he has a shot at being drafted next year in the 2nd round.

Comparisons?

1. Evan Turner to Tayshaun Prince? Sure, they're both versatile but they don't play the same positions or even have the same skill set....
2.If Willie Warren is a "tweener" than how does he compare to Chauncey Billups? Warren relies on his athleticism while Billups relies on his smarts and shooting ability. The only thing simliar is that they are around the same size.
3.Dominique Jones is nothing like Mike Miller. They have virtually no similarities in how they play.
4. Robert Sacre is nowhere near a "carbon copy of Darrel Arthur."

Players who will go in different spots- 1.Larry Sanders 46th overall? I highly doubt he would drop out of the first round...
2. Damion James 47th overall? His versatility will make him a valuable inside outside player in the nba, he will be a first round pick. 3. Jamychal Green 42nd overall? While I doubt he comes out in the first place, this guy has an enormous amount of talent and potential and could be a possible lotto pick in the future. In a very weak draft next year he will be at least a first round pick.

Charles Jenkins

Has a shot at making a camp, probably not being drafted......actually probably has a lot to do with Hofstra's success as a team.....if you can't lead your team to success in the colonial teams will question your ability to succeed at the elite level unless you can clean your gutters flatfooted like Sanders.....I actually like Matt Janning as the second best prospect out of the CAA....

Midwest

I think Jenkins will definitely get a shot at making a summer camp. I agree that the team's lacking success hurts his chances. Even if the NBA does not happen for Jenkins, Europe will be where he will have a very successful career and make a great living as well. I have seen Janning play, and he is a good player, but if you put a quality defender on him he's easy to get out of sync, so his game isn't impressive besides being a good shooter. I do think though Jenkins has to take Hofstra to either the NCAA or NIT in order to get any draft consideration. The best thing Jenkins has going for him is that he is extremely durable and has an NBA Body.

Da 1 Pot

already ate crow on Tayshaun/Turner comparison....Chauncey was considered a tweener coming out of college....What does Dominique do differently from miller????

Furthermore this isn't a mock draft....its a ranking board of players who are eligible to enter this year's draft.....and yes that is where I have all 3 players ranked....

Janning

can take it to the bucket and he has NBA range.....one of the best HS shooters I have seen in the past couple years.....I always wondered why he went to Northeastern but it was a great decision.....

I would say Jenkins has about the same shot as Wayne Chrebet did to play more than one NBA season.....but look how that turned out lol....

Midwest are you trying to

Midwest are you trying to tell me Janning has a shot at the NBA??? I don't see it, because many shooters are out there who have more strengths than Janning does. Janning's game is more suited towards Europe.

Jones is a 6'4 combo guard who is a bulldozer and a scoring machine who is not shy to shoot. He is an ok passer and rebounder and will not stand out at the next level based on these two aspects of his game. Miller and Jones both shoot a high amount of threes but Miller shoots 40% for his career while Jones is shooting around 31%. Miller is not undersized at all like Jones is, in fact he is perfectly adequate in terms of size for the shooting guard and small forward positions at 6'8. He is a standout rebounder for his position also. Miller also is more of a passive player than Jones is and does not try to force the issue. He is not a bulldozer like Jones is and shys away from contact.

fair enough......but since when has Mike Miller been shy to shoot???? and Jones is not a combo.....he's either playing the 2 or he's a bust....

Janning

no, he has about as good of shot as Jenkins but maybe a little better cuz NE might could be good next year and Hofstra probably above average at best....
