Too early to do a mock draft

Too early to do a mock draft when we don't know who is entering and who is not entering. I don't think Samhan goes that high. I don't think Hobson enters the draft this year, same goes for Willie Warren. Willie won't be in the draft unless he is a guaranteed 1st rounder. I don't see Jimmer entering unless he is a 1st rounder as well. Eric Bledsoe jury is still out, I can see it going either way. Overall a solid mock. I think Da'Sean Butler sneaks into the 1st round.

I believe Samhan could sneak

I believe Samhan could sneak into the 40's with a good Baylor game and a good camp.

Hobson should enter the draft this year. He has all the tools to be a 1st round pick. He reminds me of Stephen Jackson with defense. I heard some people compare him to Penny Hardaway.

I don't think Jimmer could be a 1st rounder unless he does the Stephen Curry move and becomes a legit PG.

Willie Warren should test the waters and Bledsoe I believe is good as gone.

Don't Like it Personally

Butler will go MUCH higher than that, I can see Butler going in the 15-20 range if he keeps performing well during the Tourney, he has been playing great as of latley hitting clutch shot after clutch shot.
I do not see Greg Monroe slipping past Milwaukee, I even think 11 is a little low for him..I could see a team like Detroit drafting him.
I do not think Jordan Crawford will declare for this year's draft. But he will be a lottery pick if he stays for another year in next year's draft.
If I was Memphis with the 29 pick I would take Vazquez over Armon Johnson.
I can see Quincy Pondexter sneaking into the first round.

Butler will not go no higher

Butler will not go no higher then 20. He's lacks the potential and the athleticism.

Monroe is soft. He will fall past 11. Anderson is a better fit for the Bucks anyway.

Jordan Crawford should enter this draft. He will be another year older (23 I believe) and with all the holdouts from the 2010 draft, the newcoming freshman AND players who step up? Enter while your hot.

Pondexter could sneak into round 1...he could fall.

PLEASE DON'T BE SURPRISED!!

DON'T BE SURPRISED IF JOHN WALL DOES NOT GO #1 OVERALL!!! IS THIS FARFETCHED CONSIDERING THE NETS WILL HAVE THE BEST CHANCE AT THE PICK, BUT HAVE AN ESTABLISHED POINT GUARD IN DEVIN HARRIS? OR WHAT DOES MINNESOTA DO WITH THE JOHNNY FLYNN AND RICKY RUBIO SITUATION? I AM INTERESTED TO SEE HOW THESE PICKS ARE GONNA TURN OUT.

There should be less freshman coming out early next year than this I think.....

Monroe

will not fall past the Bucks at 11..how is Anderson a better fit for the Bucks when they have Salmons and Redd under contract for next year? PF is a bigger need for the Bucks, I see the Bucks taking Monroe or Patterson over Anderson.

Salmons is a bench player at best. Redd is there because of his massive contract.

I'm telling you, Monroe is soft I believe he will drop a bit come draft night

Monroe

despite the meteor size egg that (I knew they were overseeded) Georgetown laid against Ohio, I think Monroe's play in the Big East tourney improved his stock.....and with the Princeton offense being the next big thing in the NBA he is a perfect fit and I can't see him falling past 10.....

idk how he got the label soft either????? Just because he has perimeter skills doesn't make him soft.....

I feel he is a soft player.

I feel he is a soft player. He also doesn't command the ball. He can pass the ball well and he can be a good player in the NBA but he's too passive to me.

Watch that Ohio game- He doesn't command the ball not one time. I question if he can really become a legit top 2 option on a team ( like top 10 picks should be).

Statswise- 19-13-7 are good but I believe him not "Taking over" was one of the reasons why G-Town was inconsistent during the season and lost early.

Hobson?

Ewww no way he goes first round. Dude is already 22 years old and from a physical standpoint he is average at best. Washington exposed him IMO as nothing more than a 6,7 passer who can get streaky from outside. Mid-late 2nd rounder. James Anderson going to Milwaukie makes no sense. You say Salmons is a bench player, but James Anderson won't be anything more than a shooter...He's not a good defender at all (Idk why people think he is on this site).

Solid mock though.

Darington Hobson can shoot,

Darington Hobson can shoot, rebound and pass. He's also a sticky defender. I never said he's going in the teens but 20-30? I would take him.

James Anderson could be a good fit for the Bucks IMO but I believe Ed Davis would be a better fit if he comes out ( which still has a good chance of happening)

Really? He averaged 15-9-5

Really? He averaged 15-9-5 in a conference that had a resurgence.

He's a great defender. I believe he could guard alot of NBA wings because his size, speed and length.

He had 22 and 15 vs Cal
18-5-3 vs Tex A&M
29-12-6 vs San Diego St
16-13 vs UNLV
20-14-7 vs BYU

Yea, he had some bad scoring games but made up with his passing and rebounding ability. I believe he's a poor man's Manu Ginobili

...

He's not a great defender. His speed is marginal to say the least. He's had some impressive games...So? He's an NBA prospect, every NBA prospect has had some good games.

He's a good player..

I also like his game, he can score aswell as pass and rebound, he is a solid defender as well.
He is a good prospect who can go anywhere from 17- 25

I like him more than Gordon Heyward who many view as a first rounder

Well

Why do mocks have him as a late 2nd round pick? He's good. I'm not denying that. But he is a tweener. And he is already 22 turning 23. Heyward is 19 and is almost as good, if not as good as Hobson. Not trying to take anything away from the guy, but he is limited as a prospect. Nice passer though.

I can't say that I like Hobson better than Hayward....he's 2nd round value.....it seems fairly obvious that Temple got screwed by the comittee while New Mexico was waaaaaaayyy overseeded.... A-10 >>>>>>>>>>> Mountain West

Let me ask you a question:

Other then Evan Turner, who's a better passer at that position? who's a better rebounder at that position?

Also, I love Gordan Hayward as a prospect but Hobson would eat his lunch.

Knicksboy, you're only

Knicksboy, you're only saying those teams were overseeded because they got eliminated early. As for prospects, Samhan is not going to shoot up to top 10 in the 2nd round from going to undrafted to doing great in the tournament. I spoke to someone who knows Jimmer's family and said they're going to test waters, but won't jump unless have a guarantee in the first round. You also have to put into consideration Jimmer may want to stay his senior year and earn his degree. As for your case about Monroe being soft, I don't think he is soft rather his game is a finesse game where he wants to focus on helping his team. What Monroe lacks is a killer instinct as in when the game is on the line he doesn't take over when it is necessary.

I never said he shoots up to

I never said he shoots up to the top 10. Samhan is someone I would draft, put him in the NBDL for a season or two and at 25- Bring him in as a backup. That's just me.

Monroe is soft in my eyes. How am I drafting a top 10 big man and he cannot " Turn It On" when I need to? To be honest, I saw that last year when he was a Freshman. I thought it was a transition period issue but he cannot take over games.

CuseFlynn- I dropped Andy by mistake.

Knicksfan7- Yes, they were overseeded. G-Town was overrated all season. Pitt had 2 big wins all season.

Rautins

this is the problem with Rautins....he's getting a lot of credit for his defense this year but in the zone at the top he's all up on 6-1 guys every game......last year when Paul Harris was out Rautins had to play the back line against bigger more athletic guys (ie. guys he will be defending in the NBA) and got exposed BAD.....if he were an elite shooter like JJ Redick or I thought he could play the point for real I would feel a lot better about saying he would make a decent NBA player....that being said I have him somewhere in the late 60's early 70's right now so he should and probably will get drafted.....

Knicksboy didn't say it

I did.....and yes NM should have lost to Montana......I think Baylor was a little overseeded too.....or maybe it was just a mediocre year for that area cuz as I look at the 4, 5, 6's I can't really see any of them as a 3 either.....Pitt wasn't overseeded but Georgetown sure was....they were on the bubble like 3 weeks ago...

Plenty

Aminu is a better rebounder. Ebanks is I can go on and on about rebounders. Hobson plays pf for that team anyways...He should rebound. Yes, he is a very nice passer....And? That's literally all he's got going for him.

I see Hobson as a 2/3. I think he will be drafted in round 1. I guess we have to agree to disagree.

Hobson can and should be a 1st round pick in terms of production and ability overall.

I seen him play alot

I seen him play alot actually. Watching the Mountain West. You are right, there was time he played PF for New Mexico but in the NBA? He might be playing the 2 or 3.

He reminds me of a poor man's Manu Ginobili in terms of stats. He will be a solid defender in the NBA from what I seen. Moving from bigger opponents to smaller one will show you that. He has great ball movement and can make the RIGHT pass to break defenses. What does that say that he played the 4 spot and led the team in assists? I'm not saying " Put him in the Lotto!" I'm saying in that 20-30 range? He's great value and I believe he can play right away. He'll be 23 in his 1st season which could be a issue but I don't see that because Wes Johnson is going to be 23.

Kemba Walker will NOT declare this season. He has no momentum.

Wes Johnson has played 3 seasons of Division 1 college basketball as to Hobson who just played his first season in a high mid-major conference.

Let me ask you a question

Let me ask you a question Knicksfan:

Wes Johnson, Aminu or Hobson? Before you answer- Here's the stats and age

Johnson- 16ppg, 8rpg, 2 bpg and 2 spg age 23

Aminu- 16ppg, 11rpg, 1.5 spg and bpg age 19

Hobson- 15ppg -9rpg -5apg age 23

I think all 3 are very good,

I think all 3 are very good, but it depends on the team drafting. If it is a team rebuilding I go with Aminu, but if it's a team who is a borderline playoff team I got to go with Wes. Hobson is a 3rd option. For age and lack of division 1 experience (1 season).
