As Gomer Pyle use to say''''

As Gomer Pyle use to say'''' Surpise..Surprise..Surprise...Not really Surpised..Becuz George thought about going pro last year..But wisely chose to remain in school another season...He's the SLEEPER in the year's Draft..1 of those players whose game is more tailor made for the PROS

Too bad his body isn't

Too bad his body isn't tailor made for the pros. I think he will probably resemble Donte Greene as a guy who can stick around the league as a guy who can just spot up and get off that little flick of the wrist shot, but not quite able to put it all together to make it work as a guy who teams would want as their starting small forward.

Greene is only in his 2nd year

I like Donte Greene and I think he will become a pretty solid starter in a few years, may even be an all-star. He got a lot of talent and he' still 22 (1988). If he works hard on his game, he can become a great 3rd option on a really good team.

I also like Paul George and I think he's going to be drafted between 13~20 in the coming draft. He would impress in workout because he really got some talent. He may not have the body now, but that can change quickly by the pro weight training program. The fact that he's a SG/SF, he wouldn't really need that much muscle to be good anyway.

Dude, George has

Dude, George has fundamentals..And will make some good very happy for drafting him.Donte Greene slowly is improving his game..Maybe he's playing in the wrong system...Did u watch Granger while he was playing at New Mexico? Granger wasn't Mr. Olympia either....And not many expected Granger to be a 20 point scorer..

Donte Greene isn't mostly an athlete Rudeboy..He's actually very skilled and not all athletic. He's more smooth than athletic.

I think George will be a very good scoring threat in the NBA. He has very little downside and at worst would be a spot-up shooter who is a devil to handle in transition. I think he's more than that though. He's a good shooter, and he's a decent slasher because he's very quick, which eliminates his lack of handle somewhat. He also is a great passing lane defender who averages more than 2 spg. Watch out for him as a great 2nd or 3rd option scorer.

Iggy

I agreed with you.

I think the thing that would hold Paul George back in the draft is basically the fact that he played in the WAC and his team is not that good.

Paul George really got talent and I think he can certainly do well playing against the big boys. He also got a good shooting touch (90%+ FT). Although his 3pt% is not as impressive as last year, I think it has more to do with him being defended tighter since he's the focal point of his team than his shot gotten worse.

I think he would be a steal if he falls below 20 in the draft.

run to the NBA now Paul

He is a lot like Greene, smooth, long shooters, little handles... Paul George is actually more athletic than Greene is.
Greene was know more for his shooting in high school and his one year in college. He was a lotto pick and is in his second year. He needs more time but he will be a good player. I can see him being a 3rd option type on a good team he is learning use his length to play good D. Paul will be a steal at 20 or lower, I think he can contribute in 2-3 years to a good team.

his team sucks

if he stays he will slip further on draft boards because his team is not getting better.

I've always been a Paul
I've always been a Paul George doubter.  I have always felt he was overrated/overhyped.  According to this site there are 3 nba prospects on that Fresno St. team & two of them are top 20 picks.  That tells me something isn't right.  Fresno St. had a terrible season & they have already been bounced from their conference tourney.  Plus George really has trouble creating off the dribble.  I give him credit for a smooth looking jumper even though his %'s aren't that impressive.  George does rack up a lot of steals too.  Overall I would stay away from him in the 1st round.

The site is overrating the other prospects more than George. Greg Smith and Seay aren't more than late 2nd round picks.

Watch George play, he's very talented offensively. I think he'd be a steal if he slips out of the top 20.

Agree with Iggy again

Greg Smith hasn't shown enough to prove anything. He got talent but far from showing it at this stage. If he shows improvement in his soph season, he can be a 1st round pick.

Seay looks more like a 2nd round pick.

George was the only guy that is closest to make the jump this year.
