Does Washington potentially have on of the best starting big duo in the League?
McGee and Blatche combined for 50 points yesterday.
Blatche's 7 turns were ugly though
watched the game..what i can say? with being only 23 Andray Blatche is a star in making!
???..man does everyone lose there mind after one game. if they did this for a season and they win then its a conversation or even a thought.
i didn't lost my mind after this game, actually he wasn't that good like in some other..all in all i didn't lost my mind at all LOL...just don't see why he can't be 20/10 guy in 4-5yrs when he is playing in pretty close level even now?
Since the trade of Haywood and Jamison both have been playing really good.
Blatche has been averaging around 25 Ppg, McGee was inconistent but has had great nights
As I said playing time really helps any young talent coming in. It is not how high your drafted but where you are drafted. Case in point darren collison, getting some run under his belt. As a matter fact J R smith got run with the hornets to...
So i guess try to get drafted by the hornets, if your scorer and want to pat your numbers pray you go to the warriors
Blatch and mcgee are solid I like foye he is solid.....BUT SOLID is the key word. They need a high volume small forward miller is now a bench player and when arenas comes back he will be solid....Mcgee may never fill out and thats my worry his max could be a tyson chandler
not you lalaila. And some of ya'll have to realize you put anyone on a team that traded its 4 best players and someone is gonna look good. not saying blachet isnt good but you put him on a playoff team and he doesnt do the same thing. you take kobe gasol bynum and odom off the lakers team and brown, josh powell and probably even adam morrison are gonna look alot better. everyone int he nba can play, thats why they are there and you put any of them on a bad team and they will look good. to see how good they really are you put them on a good/playoff type team to see how effective they are when they arent the main option or have to share the load with other good players
Justification for the trades is that they were bad with Haywood, Jamison, Butler, and Stevenson so why not be bad without them. Guess what, they are still bad, but now they are bad, young, and with less money owed in the future. Jamison and Haywood combined for 30-19 per with a 17-33 record. Now, Blatche and McGee are combining for something like 35 and 16 per with a 4-8 record. It almost gives the impression that there are no shortage of players who can put up numbers on a bad team. Now, as for having an impact on winning teams, as Jamison and Haywood are now doing for Cleveland and Dallas, that is a whole different thing. There is not a chance that Blatche would be having that kind of impact with the Cavs, and McGee wouldn't get off the bench in Dallas.
they made the playoffs with a HEALTHY haywood buter jameson, and agent zero and setevenson. i actually forgot to add stevenson when i was thinking of players that arent there. not saying the trade was bad. but you trade 4 starters and a good defender from any team and some players will step up and look better then they actually are
So your telling anyone in the NBA can put up those numbers? I'm not saying Blatche and McGee are allstars but their good players. Honestly, not anyone can average 25 and 10 a night, even if they are on a bad team. You have to be above average to be average those numbers. I know everyone in the nba has talent but be averaging double doubles, is a different story. That's what Blatche has been averaging since the trade.
imnot sayign anyone can put up those type of numbers but they can put up better numbers then usual if you take a teams top 4 players off the team. people on here tend to go a lil over board off of one or 2 games. this is more of a reference towards jmcgee since the other kid has been balling for awhile now. you havent noticed on here that every time a player has one big game they could potentially be a allstar?..or a guy does something good for one game then they could be a first round pick or drafted?..somepoepl go a lil over board is the point i was making
Andrey Blatche is solid but Javale Mcgee well he is lucky to be getting his feet wet
Best starting big men pair in the NBA?
The team has lost seven of its last eight games. The Lakers are probably a bit better. Just a thought.
Oh, and at least 10 other teams.
The Wizards are like 5-10 since the All-Star break. Blatche and McGee have great potential, but they're clearly not there yet.
