Would Walls be the consenus number 1 pick if Blake Griffin was coming out this year?
i think it would be watever position that the team needs...both are tremdous talent...and i think the rookie of the year award will go to either one of them...probably to the one who plays the most minutes
It would depend on who wins the lottery. Here is a look at all 14 lottery teams and who they draft if they won the lottery with both Griffin and Wall in their.
1New Jersey=Griffin
2Warriors=Griffin(Already have Curry and Ellis.)
3Twolves=Wall(probably would trade Flynn, and then Rubio would play the point while Wall plays the 2. They already have K-love, whom they really like, as well as Jefferson, so Griffin would not fit there)
4Pacers=Wall
5Jazz=Griffin(great Boozer replacement)
6Kings=Wall(This would be interesting, both Evans and Wall demand the ball alot, and they already have PF Landry, and they like him too. So a toss up)
7Pistons=Griffin(already have Stuckey whom they just love, and they could use more help down low then up top)
8Wizards=Griffin(Arenas will come back next year, they could start Blatche at Center move Mcgee to the Bench as Blatche's backup and then start Griffin at PF.
9Sixers=Wall(this is another toss up. Wall would be a great 2 guard, They could trade Iggy, like they were planning on doing before the trade deadline, Griffin would also work for when Brand gets injured, and the team will not start tanking.
10Clippers=Griffin(They loved him last year, and they will love him again this year)
11Bobcats=Wall(trade Felton)
12Grizzlies=Wall
13Hornets=Griffin(Paul is PG, Thornton is their SG, those two are staying, no way the hornets trade those 2. They could trade West or use him as a backup to Griffin)
14Rockets=Griffin(Wall needs the ball to play so does Martin, remember Evans and Martin in Sac town, the tandem did not work, same would happen in Houston, Scola could play Center once Yao goes down with injury once again, and Griffin would play the PF.)
rookie of the year wont go to either...watch. it will go to whoever goes to the worst team. blake wont put up great numbers with kahman,gordan, and bdiddy on his team.
Not necesarily. I think a rookie who puts up good numbers on a good team could get it over a rookie who puts up good numbers on a bad team.
I think that would've been the case this season had Jennings not slumped so much and for so long. Now Evans will get it and Curry will probably be the runner up, though they play on two bad teams.
My pick for the 2010 NBA ROY is Evan Turner, followed by John Wall and then Blake Griffin.
yeah on a good team..we are talking about the clippers though..they still wont be good next year. im sure someone will say well this year will be different and this and that just liek this pass summer but we have seen this song and dance for years with the clippers so im not buying it , not even a maybe, untill it happens. just liek the boy who cried wolf..lol
i actually have evean turner as the rookie of the year but i wont put it in stone. someone whos not in the discussion will make a suprise push for it i bet

I was thinking about that question last night..While i was glancing over the mock draft from this year & last year's draft...They might be the best players to play at their positions in years..Would Wall's flash outshine Griffin's power? Who would GM's chose to build their teams around? Griffin has sat out the entire year..So next year will be his rookie year ...Both guys are being compared to players in the Hall of Fame or players that will soon be there..Wall has been compared to Kidd/Iverson/I.Thomas..While Griffin has been compared to Karl Malone..I guess the decision would come down to what a team might need..We will never know who might've been chosen 1st..But It's going to be very interesting to see him and Walls battle it out for Rookie of the Year..
