Rose

Rose had the better rookie year and the main reason why he had the better rookie year was because he led his team to the playoffs and right now, the Sacramento Kings are one of the worst teams in the NBA right now. I would take Rose now because he leads his teams to wins even though he basically has no supporting cast. I would also take Rose in the future because I think that Rose will be able to lead a team to a championship in the future and by the time his career ends, he will be one of the greatest pgs of all time. Not saying that Evans isn't a great player, just think that Rose is better now, and will be better in the future.

It depends on what type of

It depends on what type of player you need, do you need a floor leader that wants to be the crucial player down the stretch and works best with the ball in his hands, or do you need a player with truly exceptional vision and play making ability. They are not that different in terms of skill level so really it’s all who you think would fit best with the players you are also building around.

jman159: The Bulls were already a ninth seed team before Rose arrived in an already weak conference, it was not a huge stretch for them to make the eight spot after getting a great player, compared to the Kings having the worst record in the league last year and despite injuries to two of their starters for more than half the season they could with a win tonight be ahead of like 6 other teams.

Record wise the Bulls Roses

Record wise the Bulls Roses first year weren't much better than the Kings. It's just the East is so weak they made the playoffs by default.

However for their rookie year i take Evans. For their career I would take Rose, he has an actual position. If you bring in another ball dominant play is Tyreke that good?

You are severely overrating

You are severely overrating Ben Gordon Quincey. Ben helped, he didn't lead. He may have led them in scoring but not much else.

right now it is Rose but if

right now it is Rose but if next year Evans can iron out his playmaking and becoming more consistent regardless if Sac town makes the playoffs you have to give him the age because physically he is just unstopable almost like a lil Lebron.

Nobody expected Evans to be

Nobody expected Evans to be playing this well..They thought he'll be in the running for Rookie of the year..But never a top 10 MVP candidate in his 1st season..I think Rose will have the better career...Lets wait before we crown Evans the next young superstar until the end of next season..Becuz we have to see whut his game will be like when defenses adjust to his game

i just don't any reasons why

i just don't any reasons why i can't put Evans into future superstars group...

talking about rookie year yeah Rose arguably had better yea , playoffs and so on..BUT i would take Tyreke as a better player and even now with Rose playing his second season i would have hard time to choose who is better individual player..man it's 20-5-5 plus 1.5stls(comparing with Rose's 0.8) it's 20-5-5 that we might will remember it after years when we will compare some future star to this Tyreke's season..

This season i would take Rose probably, but if we are comparing rookie seasons i would choose Tyreke as a better player.... oh yeah don;t forget than Tyreke is playing in the West, Kings had some very very good games i think they would be way better in the East

You really have Evans as a

You really have Evans as a top 10 MVP candidate? On a team 22 games under .500?!?!?!?!?! I like Evans too, picked him as my ROY before the season started ... but a top 10 MVP candidate? That's reckless talk!

Tyreke isn't but he was

Tyreke isn't but he was top10 MVP candidate early in the season on nba.com, when he started to play like crazy and Kings won quite alot games.

I think Evans has had the
I think Evans has had the better rookie year, but Rose has more potential. Evans was much more developed coming in than Rose, and I just don't know that I expect him to improve much as time goes on.

Quincey, just because you

Quincey, just because you lead a team in scoring doesn't make you the leader. Ben did hit some clutch shots but Rose was more of a leader then him. Rose was the story of the playoffs for the Bulls as well.

Ben is doing a fine job leading the Pistons this year too.

rose was more of a story

rose was more of a story because he was more popular. he didnt lead the team anymore then gordan lead the team. ben gordan has to share with rip. how well do you think rose would do leading if he had to share with another very talented pg. he has to share with kirk henrich...whoa. plus the bulls have a better team so im not sure what youre point is

Gordon wasn't and isn't a

Gordon wasn't and isn't a leader. Leading isn't simply making shots. Leading is taking the team on your shoulders and doing anything you can to try and win. Rose did that, and he was a huge reason they almost upset the Celtics last year in the playoffs. All Gordon is worried about is himself. If he wasn't he probably would've settled for less money than hardly anyone would pay him, unless he just really wanted to get out of Chicago

My point is and was that if

My point is and was that if you think Ben Gordon was the leader of the Bulls last year, you didn't watch many of their games.

Ben Gordon isn't a leader.
Ben Gordon isn't a leader. He hits shots and has no other value to a basketball team.

It's wierd to say this

It's wierd to say this because if you make a shot with the game on the line, that's all that matters, but... Ben Gordon took some of the most AWFUL shots during key moments. He had terrible shot selection.
