Harrington Thinks James Stays in Cleveland

Knicks forward Al Harrington doesn't see it happening, and he's not in the minority.

With each passing day, as the Knicks disgrace themselves and the Cavaliers march to their potential first NBA championship, the Knicks' chances of free-agent glory in landing LeBron James
this summer gets more remote.

James makes one final trip to the area tonight, facing the Nets at the Meadowlands.

"A lot of teams would love to have him and the Knicks are one of them," Harrington told The Post in the visiting locker room at Quicken Loans Arena Monday night.

"But if he's as loyal as he says, I would think it's very hard for him to leave, especially because he's home.

"If it was a different city, maybe not as much a connection, but at the end of the day, he generates every single thing for this whole state. It would be tough for him to make that decision to leave."

not that his opinion matters

not that his opinion matters awhole lot or anthing just thought it was interesting that a knick and a new york post writer ( one of many) are in agreement. anything i read was how lebron might sign a 3year contract with the cavs instead of a 5 year one because he would get more money in the long run that way and it gives him a chance to watch the knicks and nets rebuild. so after those 3 years he can see who gives him a btter chance at a title( if he hasnt already won one with the cavs and they havnt added another player by then) he will only be 28 when that contract runs out. th downside to this is alot of other young teams could be better by then and might interest him

Big surprise, everyone

Big surprise, everyone thinks that esp. now after the Jamison trade.
I'll be happy if Harrington is gone since he plays very lil D and doesn't rebound.
I'm leaning towards Lebron staying too now and barring a 2nd round playoff loss he probably stays.
So if Walsh can't sign 2 big name guys doesn't matter if their max or not the Jeffries trade will come back to haunt them.
They have no 2012 draft pick now and if the Rockets are healthy the 2011 pick def. won't be lottery.
Also trading away Jeffries and Hill will be pointless since they could've been used as trading chips in the offseason.

i actually didnt know that

i actually didnt know that they might not have there next 2 picks after this year. im sure they will get someone imjust not sure they get the big fish. actually i dont think any team other then miami is gonna get a big fish. bosh says hes a number one option and he will not be willing to be a number 2 option where ever he goes plus he wants to win so that cuts out alot of teams. i think toronto and chi have the best chnce because he can be a number one option at either place. i believe lebron stays and im pretty sure wade stays because they will probably get boozer. i think jo johnson stays because the other teams dont give him a better chance to win then atlanta. i think this will be a very sad summer for alot of fans who want to see alot of the big guys go to other teams

I agree Quincey. The

I agree Quincey. The offseason has had this build up, but ultimately I believe at most only 1 or 2 big names will switch teams.

The only guy I think the

The only guy I think the Knicks have the best shot at getting is Chris Bosh, I don't see Lebron leaving, though I like to hope and Wade I don't see why he would leave Miami, it's a nice city. I would love for the Knicks to sign core players and keep building from there it's a long process for the Knicks, though I think they will be okay.

Lebron is staying

He has so many pieces and cleveland has shown that they will do anything to surround him with talent. Lets admit he has enough talent now to win it all even though I'm leery of the sg position. Please advise lebron is a point forward so a jason kidd wouldnt work he needs the ball.

The big news this summer will be stoudemire to the heat. If they can keep beasley and oneal and add on stoudemire that should get interesting. If wade doesnt get stoudemire he could leave, but 80 degrees and beatiful women for cold weather and barely seeing women till march is a no no!!. Plus all this boozer bosh talk, that is not going to do it. Boozer and Bosh I am marking my words will not win the heat a championship. It is stoudemire or nothing period.

New york lose all the rest of the games hope to get the first pick and build from there dont over pay johnson and gay....Johhnson is very inconsistent I liked his game but now, he is not worth all that money. There is really no one out there but wade and lebron that are worth that money so build up like portland.

Quincey

Boozer just doesnt have it...he has great stat filler but doesnt make teams better.
Bosh is green light special he needs the ball at all times. He has a nice face up jumper but there is no reliability. You will see what I am talking about in the play offs.
Amare looks like he would fit well as a 2nd option ala the big three of boston. I think he is a perfect compliment and his improved jumper has made him the best of the three.

Bosh could be argued but boozer. I am sorry the only thing making him attractive is because someone offered him a large contract. He is a solid player

what does amre do that

what does amre do that boozer doesnt beside dunks on people? he doesnt defend he doesnt rebound like he should?..and bosh is clearley better then amare. have you watched phx?..amare needs the ball just as much as bosh excpt amare has one of the best guards in the leauge setting him up. bosh creates alot better on his own.
