What if chi doesnt make the playoffs and gets the top pick?
heres a interesting thought...what happens if chi doesnt make it and gets the number onepick?..only 2 options.. try to make wall and rose work or trade down for a pick and a player....chi is in the 6th spot right now but only about 2 games up and there schedule isnt a cake walk
This one isn't even tough lol... They'd trade that pick.
I think an Illinois home grown backcourt of Rose/Turner would be nice though. The Bulls could use his versatility.
you would think it would be easy but from reading pass post there are peopel who think wall is better then rose right now
Better question. What if Portland misses the playoffs and win the lottery. how awesome would a Wall/Roy/Batum/Aldridge/Oden starting lineup look going forward?
hmmmmm that actually is a better one....that would be interesting. that would spell the end of bayless there
the two teams you guys mentioned will probably have less than 1% chance of winning the lottery.
I highly doubt the decision makers for Chicago would draft Wall lol. EASY decision to trade that pick.
Wall is NOT better than Rose RIGHT NOW, and like someone said earlier they would trade that pick and bring in Evan Turner or Wes Johnson.
And Jerryd just can't get a break can he lol I believe in due time he's going to be a good player in the NBA.
this is the lotto. even though they dont have a great chance of winning it they can win it
Who said wall is better than Rose I dont think so they arent even on the same level I am not a big fan of Wall any way but rose is an allstar and he was rookie of the year and he lead his team to the final four his freshman year. People need to give this kid some time lets see what he does in the tournament before we annoint him the best freshman PG ever. Secondly I think he is a good player but I really dont believe the hype. If the bulls were to get the #1 pick which I doubt will happen they would trade down and draft turner.
trust me i agree but there are peopel on here who dont think so
Thats crazy to me like I said before he is a good player but he has a lot he has to improve upon like turnovers, he makes bad decisions and his jump shot isnt the best and he is kinda light he needs some more weight on him.
i agree with everything except the weight. you dont need to be big in order to play the big position
i think if this were to happen and I doubt Bulls miss the playoffs, likely scenario is Miami misses playoffs and get number one and Wades stays in Miami to pair with Wall. Bull would trade Wall and a bad contract for a top 5 pick and a nice asset.
This might sound crazy since many of us including myself are against 2 PG sets. But with the potential of Wall and Rose and the fact that they are bigger guards who could be combo types, I would consider taking Wall and seeing what Rose and Wall can do together. If it doesn't workout, then I would trade Wall since his value would still be very high.
wall is only 6'2 and a half though even if wall is 6'4(which i doubt) which one is gonna check a sg?..rose already isnt a that good of a defender and wall will be a rookie
this says what each team should do if they get Wall, it's one guys opinion and if your to lazy to read it says chicago should put wall at the 2 and initiate a "drbble drive offence". not a terrible idea and if they could sign a 2010 big man they would have a good thing going.
inm not understanding youre point..my opinion is it wouldnt work...that links opinion is is would..his opinion holds nomore weight then youres or mine
If chicago doesnt make the playoffs chances are they wont get a top 3 pick and will have to switch picks with milwaukee from the slamons trade. Heads are gonna roll in chicago if they miss out on the playoffs and dont reel in wade or bosh in fa.
But with the #1 theyd have to pick wall but you cant win with 2 guards that dont have a shot no matter how quick they are. Would maybe see a trade with minny's two lotto picks and maybe a kevin love and another player.
Back in the day the 76ers went to the finals with a starting backcourt consisting of Eric snow at 6'3 and Iverson at barely 6'. It ain't impossible.
First, I don't think this would happen.
Second, if it did happen I don't think Wall won't have a tough time defending a shooting guard because of his long wingspan.
yeah key person in that ...allen iverson..neither are allen iverson and neither are the defender eric snow was. i dont see wall checking a jaamal crawford joe johnson, kobe, even ray allen. now if you talking about not trying to win a title or go deep in the playoffs then yeah go for it. but if you talking about being a title contending team..i dont see it working. and this is all on the "hope" that wall can defend a nba sg
M DYMES, the problem isn't height, rose is a big 6'3" and wall is 6'4" which is a smaller than normal back court but ok. the problem is neither can shoot and teams would just clog the lane.
quinceyhodges, looking back at my first statement i guess i didn't have a point but i found that article somewhat usefull when trying to think about what if a team gets wall.
i wonder how tall wall really is..not that it really matter..my guess would be 6'3. he looks like he is slighly taller then rose who is 6.2.5 with shoes. not that the height really matter awhole lot.. the key is the reach. and the defense. eric gordan isnt that tall but he has a long reach and he is a bulldog on defense
the sixers were successful with that backcourt partly because eric snow could take on the other teams best perimeter player and ... the east was so, so weak at that time! Those were like the dark ages for the eastern conference. the bulls already tried an undersized backcourt with hinrich and gordon before rose got there ... not that gordon has ever been accused of being a good defender, but still ... i don't think they want to go back to that
Quincey- I'm 6 foot & when I was standing right beside Wall he looked to be only about 2 inches taller than me. Plus he is skinnier than people think. I could be wrong but it just looked that way when I saw him in person. I really doubt he is truly 6'4" 195 pounds. I would guess he is really 6'2.5" 183 pounds.
If the Bulls get the 1st pick then they should trade it. Bulls need a SG or legit low post scorer.
yeah i dont think hes 6'4 but ive just seen him on tv so i dont know for sure. if his arms ar longs which it looks liek they are, then it doesnt really matteras far as people thinking he wont be as productive at the pg posiion just because hes shorter you know
if the blazers win the lottery. . than they draft evan turner
I think they wuld have to trade the pick. Wall and Rose are both natural pgs and u cant play them at the 2-spot. I also don't think it would work bringing one of them off the bench.
