what if miami gets one of the top 3 picks?
right now they arent in the playoffs and have been playing pretty bad( even though they didnt have wade for some games) they will have a boat load of money to sign wade and bring in another player but what if they happen to win the lotto as well or get one of the top 3 picks????..of course they would go with wall number one and that what be a interesting backcourt if wall lives up to what peopel think he will be. number 2 who do they pick?..do they go with turner and put wade at the point or turner at the 3? do they do with cousins( my pick) since o'neal contract will be up and match him with a carlos boozer. i think that would be a very good fit because boozer has a nice midrange to go along wih his banging ability. who do they pick if they get the third pick?..they will have there choice between cousins and turner so my guess would be one of them
Boozer will not be signed. He is staying in Utah, you may not believe me, but with the 2 jazz trades the Jazz now have enough to resign Booz. He is willing to play for less money, and he likes it in Utah. All has been forgiven from what happened in the off season. The heat will have to go for Bosh or Amare. They are better then Booz anyways.
First... IF Miami can't even make the *Eastern Conference* playoffs as an 8th seed, which is starting to look like a legit possibility... And they're drafting in the lottery, I don't think that'd be a good thing for the franchise heading into the off-season and D. Wade's free-agency. This is a team that's supposed to be a piece or two away from winning the title, not from making the playoffs in the weak East.
IF they do land a top three pick, which is a big what if... I think Turner would be the best fit. I'm not so sure about a Wall/Wade backcourt. Wade is a ball dominant guard in every sense of the word and I don't know how that'd work. They have similar games. I can't see Riley bringing Cousins down to South Beach, considering his youth, immaturity and attitude problems. That leaves Turner, who isn't a perfect fit, but the best fit out of the three players in my opinion.
I wouldn't be shocked if Riley considered trading the pick to bring a more established player to Miami to go along with D. Wade and whoever they sign via free-agency.
yeah boozer has done this song and dance plenty of times so forgive me if im not convinced just yet. him taking less would be 10million..do the jaz have 10million?..i dont think they do
Maimi would and should go for a big in either; Cousins, Monroe or Aldrige. This is if, they don't get Wall. Reason why is because they don't really need a 2 or 3 with Wade in the line up, along with that B Easy can play SF if they can sign Bosh or Amare. Chamers is not a bad PG, gets the job done. Just imagine a line up of the following.
Dangerous team to contend with next year. Very big front court to match the likes of Boston, Orlando and Cavs.
"Boozer is willing to play for less money..."
You're joking, right? Boozer is as money hungry as they come... I highly doubt he'll sacrifice a cent.
so wade cant work in chicago either if hes so ball dominate.
boozer would have to accept the mid dwill do you really think hes gonna accept that?..and from living in utah i can tell you that im pretty sure he still remembers how the fans have turned on him over and over again. how the raido stations constantly say how bad h is and injury prone. plus the fact he could have opt out and taken less money for the jazz before the season.
The Jazz aren't keeping Boozer. They have had to go through so much song and dance this year to cut costs that they aren't going to give him a big fat extension and have to do the same thing again next year. They already have $49 million committed to Williams, Kirilenko, Okur, and Millsap for next season. They aren't adding another $10+ million player.
As for the Heat, like every team 1) Wall 2) Turner 3) yet to be determined. 1-2 is a runaway. Wall might not be the greatest point guard of all time as some liked to hype him as earlier in the year, but he is still the best prospect in this draft. Turner is close behind because of his versatility. He will be an easy fit for any team because of his length, athleticism, and intelligence. I think there is a reasonable argument for Cousins, Monroe, Aldrich, and Johnson at 3. Given Riley's history, he will probably go for a center who can score on the block. Given the headaches he has had with Beasley, I would think he would choose between Monroe and Aldrich. Monroe is younger, more skilled, and with more upside. He probably has to start his career at the power forward spot, and might even play his entire career at that position. Aldrich is a safer pick. A team knows, barring injury, that they are getting a solid starting center for the next decade.
if miami doesnt get someone this summer they are in big trouble. wade has alredy said he would stay as long as they brought someone in which is why they didnt make a big trade. with the money they have plus there location i doubt it will be hard for them to get someone to come and boozer seems to be the number one option with his kids living in miami and the fact he likes it there.
fromone site i see they have $56,688,043 commited next year
I don't think a Rose/Wade backcourt would be that great of a fit either, which is something I've said consistently on here. The only reason Wade gets linked with Chicago is because he's from there. I think a Rose/Johnson backcourt would be a better fit.
I could definitely see Riley drafting Monroe or Aldrich with that third pick.
i actually agree with that. been saying that but so many people are in love with the idea of rose and wade that it doesnt matter to them. there are certain good players that just work best with a average pg. i used to say the same thing about mj. the team worked best with a bj armstrong or a john paxson or a ron harper. someone willing to score a lil but not handle awhole lot. in the triable i think it can work between rose wade or wall.....
dwilljazz8, as a cavs fan let me assure you boozer is not at all willing to stay for less money. We thought that and then he left for "greener pastours" in Utah, if he would have stayed we would have already won a ring by know.
First of all if the Heat don't sign Amare, Bosh or Boozer (which is a real possibility) after missing the playoffs, then they should think about who they are gonna draft in the next COUPLE of lotteries, because Wade is as good as gone in that scenario.
tats pretty much the case with any team that has a max player who is a free agent
if Miami cant get anyone, Wade is gone. Maybe Wall can keep him
If Miami gets a pick that high, they need to draft someone who could replace Wade. I don't see him returning, so if they get the first pick, they should take John Wall, like any team that gets the first pick. If they get second or third, I would suggest taking Evan Turner. Both have a strong ability to score. Evan Turner also expands out to getting rebounds, while John Wall is a better at getting assists.
