Kemba Walker

Man the last few games he's been tearing it up man and also taking care of the ball, which has been the biggest knock on him this season. While i'm not saying he is a pick this year(except maybe late first, early 2nd) he def has potential to go lottery next year if he continues to improve.

He is possibly if not the fastest, one of the fastest end to end with the ball and also is very quick in the half court set, and I think he creates his own shot better than any other PG in the nation, including Wall.

Now I may get flack for that but if I do then you guys haven't been watching Kemba at all this year and just riding the Wall bandwagon extra hard, Kemba uses the sickest crossovers and head fakes as well as step backs, spin moves everything, while Wall rely's on his first step.

Now i'm not saying Walker is better than Wall by any stretch, i'm just explaining that he has more of a variety of moves than him.

But anyways back to the subject at hand.

He single handedly tore Corey Fisher up and Scottie Reynolds up leading UCONN to victory over Villanova, then he busted West Virginia up and today even tho he lost, He took it to Edgar Sosa.

Another thing I like about Walker is his DEFENSE, dude really clamps down and locks people up he rarely comes out of his stance and has very very quick hands, and he also hustles for the loose balls and everything else.

He has been killing it

He has been killing it recently. And as for his crossovers, he goes east and west a lot while john wall goes north and south. one direction isn't better than the other but some people have a hard time guarding one type or the other. So some nights Walker will have his guy going every where but the next night he won't be able to shake his guy at all.

Kemba is fast as hell though. He has always struck me as a carasmatic guy, i'm not sure if he is a great leader or anything but I think it would be easy to follow him.

He was matched up with both

He was matched up with both of them Quincey. I watched that game, and Walker was called to guard Reynolds and Fisher was called to guard Walker. He got after Reynolds on D, and he was taking advantage of Fisher's lack of defense.

I think the way Walker has played lately is impressive, probably the best I've ever seen him play in my life because he's actually making jump shots now and not forcing crazy passes. He's also run the offense, instead of deferring to Jerome Dyson. I think he needs to declare, because he's easily the 2nd best PG prospect in the nation and his weaknesses (jump shot, decision-making, and strength) can all be improved in the NBA. Also, UConn wouldn't be likely to compete for a title with Dyson, Gavin Edwards, and Stanley Robinson graduating. I wouldn't be surprised if he stayed in school, but I do think he could be risking losing money.

i also watched the game and

i also watched the game and i saw over 90 percent of the time kemba was being guarded by corey. i agree hes good but ive seen games where players have played good d on him while scoring on him as well. i cant with all honesty say hes a much better defender or player then scottie.

"Walker was called to guard

"Walker was called to guard Reynolds and Fisher was called to guard Walker. He got after Reynolds on D, and he was taking advantage of Fisher's lack of defense."

Thats what I said. Fisher guarded Walker, but Walker guarded Reynolds. I think if Reynolds would've guarded him, Walker would've likely lit him up wore than he did Fisher.

I vividly remember one

I vividly remember one defensive play where Scottie could not get the ball over half court because Kemba was hounding him so tough.

What players Quincy? I'm very curious to know, I watch alot of Kemba because he is MY favorite PG to watch, I hardly see anyone locking him up, what I see is him over dribbling and getting himself into sticky situations not because of another person's defense.

His worst games were the ones he had the most turnovers(6,6,8,and a couple of 4's) But does that means he's getting locked up? Not hardly, in the first 6 TO game he also had 9 points, 9 assist.

2nd 6 TO game he had: 11 points 10 assist

8 TO game he had: 19 points 10 assist

and in those 4 TO games he's had numbers like: 20 points 5 assist, 8 points 8 asssit, 14 points 6 assit, etc.

So there's not much locking up on him lol...... he just needs to mature a bit more which will come with time he's only 19.

I totally agree had Reynolds

I totally agree had Reynolds checked Walker instead of Fisher, it would have got ugly for Reynolds, very ugly.

since when did good defense

since when did good defense mean luck up d?..i dont recall saying someone locked him up. youre talking liek no one has ever played good defense on him this year and if he hasn;t played very well its because of him and not the defense which is not true. and scottie can score just as much on kemba as much as kemba can on walker. scottie has proven his abilty to score veyr very well for his whole career

Yea, Kemba's play has been

Yea, Kemba's play has been impressive as of late, considering how he was playing earlier, and even seeing the progression made from last year. But I don't think he should put his name in this draft. I just want to see him play with more of a poise and a smoothness to his game and really take control of the offense and be a elite level guard in the country. And that will come with just more experience and playing time. Like others are saying, at this rate, he seems to be on a collision course with the lottery next season, or maybe even higher the year after. I like this kids game, I just don't want to see him go the same route as a darius washington jr or something. He just needs to stay in school and continue to grow, playing in the toughest conference in the country and for a great coach like calhoun.
