Tony Wroten

Who is this guy? I heard ppl talk about him as probably a top 3 pick in 3 years. I saw a article that someone compared him to- John Wall.

He's interested in Syracuse so I know a little something about him but this site compares him to Rodney Stuckey. Can someone give me a little scouting report about the guy?

Also, Aran can we please discuss my unbanning my IP now? I want to get on more but i cannot get to a CPU these days

I like Toney Wroten alot,

I like Toney Wroten alot, hes a 2011 guy, I think his hype has died down a bit because he hasnt played HS ball all season due to injury

But from what I have seen(which isnt much), hes an athletic, crafty player, alot of flashy passes, not athletic as a Wall or Rose, but athletic in his own right. Not the best shooter, but his best tool is his ability to get to the basket...

Oh & I think Arans just gonna tell you your 30 days arent up...lol

very good player. the thing

very good player. the thing that hurt him is he was so good so soon. when you develop youre skills before other guys in youre class and are ranked high( number 1 at the time) you have no where else to go but down as other kids starts to grow into there body and develop there games. hes still a very veyr good player though. he's alot like willie warren from what ive seen. except he has the potential to be a better passer

I remember that. Like I

I remember that.

Like I said, I know something about him but I wanna like true scouting report. I heard things like

Best player ever
Best PG in HS since Wall
Future #1 pick

When we discussed him ( lightly because we were talking Enes Kanter), we just said he's a class of 2011 guy

Magikncick- I hope Aran says " Ok kid....welcome back" lol

Quincey

Great comparison to Willie. However, Tony is a magnificant passer...He's not the shooter Willie is though.

Tony could be something special. He's a combo guard who has the vision to be a very good point guard. To be honest, he'll probably end up being Rodney Stuckey with better vision.

Liek the WIllie Warren comparison

He is like Willie except more of a PG than WIllie, he can pass the rock well

i agree. when i was watching him in vegas his passing skills had me very impressed. also right about the shooting. he was ipping nice passes to josh smith down low for easy dunks. im wondering if he's considering ucla and team up with josh again

when i watched him in vegas

when i watched him in vegas i was impressed with his skills. but he was kinda lay. i thought it was just one game but i watched another and then read up on him and saw that the scouting report is that he can sometimes be lazy. very talented though. gets off the floor very well for his sie but he does need to lose weight. and when he wants he gets great post position. he's actually kinda similar to cousins as far as when he tries he is the best big man on the floor. gte soff the floor a lil better and more apt to dunk on people. not as good as the sullinger kid though. hes capable of having a cousins year and wouldnt be suprised if he does

Yeah

He's a great shot blocker and is massive. Not sure if he has the scorers mentality that Cousins has though. Cousins is an absolute beast. Josh needs to lose a lot of weight.

yeah he is a very good shot

yeah he is a very good shot blocker. reminds me of tractor traylor. and yeah my brother was saying the same thing when we watched him play. he doesnt seem to have that drive to want to score alot. that can change in college though

Wow this kid can play. He's

Wow this kid can play. He's a great athlete and he's a 6'5" pg. His passing is great. He plays on the same team as Josh smith and he is great at getting the rock to bigs. His best asset I'd say is his ball handling. He's got the ball on a string. He's got a pretty good jumper too. Everyone would know his name by now of he didn't pull the bonehead move of the year by deciding to play football and tearing his acl. Hope
he recovers fully. Bright bright future for this kid

I'm a big Wroten guy as

I'm a big Wroten guy as well. He's got the flashy game you like. He's built like Willie Warren and can pass in the drive and dish like Warren can, but he's not the shooter Warren is. He's also not a pure PG. He's essentially a Rodney Stuckey clone, even more so than a guy like Dominique Jones of USF.

i agree iggy, except for the built like warren..tony is actually pretty slim...like a slightly smaller version of t.evans actually when i think about it his game reminds me of evans. not a true pg but can play it and gets in the lane at will
