Robin Lopez with the line of the year!
I told people when he looked bad last year that he would start putting up numbers similiar to his brother. If you look at their time in college offensively Robin seemed one year behind and Robin is more athletic so in all actuality the NBA game should bring up his strengths more than his brothers. Robin may wind up having a better overall career based on that but I still believe Brook is a beast in the post though.
that's hilarious, thanks for sharing. I still give verajao the lead for the side show bob comparison though.
sheltwon, robin is more athletic and he should have a very solid career. But no way do i see him being better then brook.
im glad he's stepping up.. i used to argue with people on here saying that he is better then they think. i dont think he will be as good as brook but i said he could be like varajoe andput up better numbers
Come on. Context, context, context. First of all, the points were off dump offs and tip ins. Kaman got teched twice an minute into the second half. Don't just look at a box score and make foolish statements like Lopez bullied Kaman.
LilPerez I said may be better and also do you not forget that they are twin brothers and Robin is more athletic and in college he showed that he may only be one year or so behind Brook on offense. You guys are talking as if Robin can not learn or eventually do the same stuff Brook can do. Athleticism in the NBA helps you more I did not say Robin would be better i said he would have a better career meaning his overall stats from all faucets of the game would be better. I think i have a legit argument there.
sheltwon, why do you keep calling me lilperez? It's LL as in Ladys Love Perez
ANd no i did not forget they were twins. And brook is a pretty darn good athlete as well. As for their skills in the offensive game, brook is ahead in every facet and robin would be lucky to ever catch up to where brook is right now.
Yea he could learn...But it'd take years upon years for him to be as good as Brook Lopez offensively. You also have to remember while Robin is improving, Brook will be improving as well. I don't think Robin Lopez will ever be a big scorer in the NBA. Ever. He may average at most 7 or 8 ppg in a season. He won't even get the opportunity to be as big a scorer as Brook. Strictly a garbage man around the rim and I think even he knows that's how he projects in the NBA.
at Stanford Robin showed some moves similiar to Brook on the offensive side. We will see and sorry about that Perez I did not know ladies loved you like that it looked like lil to me for the longest. My thing is I was not say it will happen but I saying that there is a pretty good chance it does happen. I wonder if so of you actually watched Robin's play at Stanford. He may not be getting utilized that same way and have came on slowly this year but offensively he is not but a year and a half maybe behind his brother.
My only thing is I dont think Robin is as comitted to the game as his brother because they say he actually is into other stuff but he is tall and he and his brother play ball but it may not be his passion but besides that Robin if his mind is focus on basketball could clear that gap. Athleticism can close a lot of gaps on skill if properly applied.
Pac 10 is my thing, so yeah i watched them plenty. The way stanford ran thier offens with those two was they would get the ball on the block to brook and even if he couldn't make a good move or get a clean look, he would just toss it up at the rim figuring he would either make it over the smaller defense or his brother would get the offensive put back. Those two were fun to watch playing volleyball with the ball down low, too bad the gaurds at stanford sucked or they might have gone farther then the elite 8.

Robin Lopez bullied Chris Kaman and The Clippers for like 30 and 12(whats new...Kaman gives up more than he scores)
After the game, the Suns announcers asked Lopez what he was going to do to celebrate and he said, "I'm going to kill Bart Simpson."
would luv to see the video of that if anyone haves it!
