Hard to

believe how bad of shape Shawn Kemp was in, toward the end of his career. It looks like he picked up 60 lbs, hell maybe more.

I would have to go with Hot

I would have to go with Hot Plate Williams, I mean his nickname basically makes fun of him being fat.

Yeah crazy that Shawn Kemp

Yeah crazy that Shawn Kemp got so big towards the end of his career! If you put Khalid El AMin up there then should also put up Lavance Fields

Wonder who the next NBA player to blow up will be

I rememebr when the Bulls

I remember when the Bulls signed Hamilton to a 10 day contract. He came in at 7'1 400lbs. Whoa. His son is a freshmen in high school and is 6'8 260.

In the words of the late great Bernie Mac:

"There are a lot of swollen people in here!"

Ya I considered it

I considered putting Shaq on the list but what made him so different from the big and WIDE other guys was the muscle content of all that weight........so i knocked him from consideration

now though ya i would agree with you he is fat lol.......if he lets himself go after retirement he could become an epic fat guy

Shaq in his diesel days was

Shaq in his diesel days was jacked, not fat by any means, but with age and not taking care of yourself as well it's easier to get fat. A lot of these guys were young at the time and were lazy.

I know he never played in the NBA but

Mark Jackson's brother Troy who played at Louisville might have been fattest baller ever to play in NCAA

From Wickipedia

Troy Jackson (born January 11, 1976 in Jamaica, Queens, New York) is an American basketball player. The younger brother of former NBA player Mark Jackson, he is a member of the AND1 Mixtape Tour, known by his streetball nickname "Escalade". Jackson is listed at 6'10" and 370 pounds.

Troy Jackson weighed close to 500 pounds as a senior at Hill East High School in Long Island, New York, but his performances at Rucker Park caught the attention of Bill Hughley, coach of Wallace Community College in Selma, Alabama.[1] Jackson enrolled at Wallace, and even though he continued to play at 500 pounds (or more), he received all-region honors as a sophomore. "People wonder how I played at 500-plus pounds. But to me it felt natural," he later said. Jackson's accomplishments in community college led to a scholarship offer from the University of Louisville, but the school demanded that he lose weight. Jackson complied, and by his senior year at Louisville, he had slimmed down to about 363 pounds after adhering to a strict diet.[2]

Jackson only played twenty games for Louisville over two years, averaging 3.0 points per game and 1.6 rebounds per game in a reserve role.[3] However, he has become well-known to basketball fans through the AND1 Mixtape Tour, a travelling streetball exhibition which he joined in 2002. With the AND1 Tour, Jackson uses the stage name Escalade, a reference to the Cadillac SUV. His teammate Antwan "8th Wonder" Scott told the Herald Sun, "He's a big guy, but he can entertain and he can seriously play."[4] Jackson has appeared on the cover of Sports Illustrated [5] and has been described as a "streetball legend" by the magazine Jet.[6]

Off the basketball court, Jackson works as an advocate for STD prevention.[6]

it makes no sense to me how

it makes no sense to me how guys can be professional athletes and still be fat. Not only are they showing no discipline and costing themselves money, but its hard work to keep weight on when you run up and down a court on a daily basis.

In Barkley's case...I think

In Barkley's case...I think being big helped him..Dude was only 6'4 and played power forward..And could handle the ball..I dont think he'd made it if he was slim...Because of his size and skills they couldn't keep him off the floor..U could play him at any position
