Wes

Is not staying another year, he would be 24 when he starts in the NBA if he were to stay. His draft stock may drop him to the late part of the lottery, but no further. He is still a guaranteed 1st rounder, top 15 pick in my mind.

he wont stay another year.

he wont stay another year. lets just pretend he falls to 10th. you think he would pass up being a top10 pick in the draft and make millions of dollars his first year? i dont think so

yeah i doubt he stays

yeah i doubt he stays another year. as far as his draft status i think it has dropped since the beginning of the year..some of which because of his play and some because of the better play of others

He's not the top 3 pick most

He's not the top 3 pick most thought, but he's definitely a top 10/late lotto pick

Who would you honestly draft

Who would you honestly draft over Johnson if you were picking in the Top Ten?

Wall - yes
Turner - yes
Cousins - yes
Aminu - possibly
Monroe - possibly
Favors - maybe
Aldrich - maybe
Davis - no
Motiejunas - never seen him play, IDK
Whiteside - have only seen him play once, IDK

You get my point, three guys, seven at the most, he's a guaranteed Top Ten pick unless he has a horrific injury.

i would def draft aminu over

i would def draft aminu over him..i think he is better while being younger and will be better. same with monroe... maybe davis and yeah cole. the reason id draft some of thse guys over him is because they are at least 2 years younger then him and the more i watch him the more im noticing flaws i didnt notice before liek his handles and his height ( for some reason i thought he was 6'10 not 6'7)

Stock dropping

I am with you guys that his draft stock is dropping a little bit. He has seemed kinda tentative since taking that hard fall and injuring his wrist. I do think that he will leave school this year though. I believe he has produced well enough for most of the year to be a top 10 pick but I think having him at the 3rd pick is a stretch. I think before it is all said and done Monroe, Favors, and Cousins have a great chance of playing themselves into the top 3. All three guys have great length and Monroe is one of the best passers in college basketball (not just for a big man, in all of college bball).

I hate to say i told Y'all

I hate to say i told Y'all that Mr. Wesley was a bit overrated..You guys were soooooooooo HIGH on him earlier in the season..He's the number 2 pick..You boys were constantly saying....And laughed when i said Cousins was going in the top 3..But i do believe Johnson has a chance to be a star on the next level...His maturity and age will help him alot in his rookie year..Pay no attention to how he's played the past few games..He reminds me of when Pierce was at Kansas ..He was considered a top 5 pick..But fell to number 10 in the draft..Johnson will be taken in the top 10..You have to admire him for his hard work and turning himself into a legit prospect....But those Pippen comparisons are waaaaaay off....

of course people had him as

of course people had him as the number 2 or 3 pick in the draft early in the seaon, he was playing like a number 2 or 3 pick. just like cousins was playing like a later draft pick. and if cousins starts to not play as well and johnson starts to pick it up again then it will go right back to how it was. if i guy is killing like he was is it really crazy for people to think he could go as high as 2? if he would have continued to play like that people would still say hes a top 2,3 pick. its only natural

No way

As a Cuse fan I'm one of the few and proud who watch Cuse games. If you didn't notice he was flipped over just a few games ago. Not to mention he has a sore hand. Whose game wouldn't drop if they were hurt? Not many. Only name that comes to my mind is Kobe. And there is no way he comes back next season. He's 22 turning 23 in July and his age could be a major factor if he waits another year. I see him going in the top half of the lottery so why wouldn't he declare is my question to you. Plus 16.1 points, 8.8 rebounds, 2.2 assists, 1.7 blocks, 1.6 steals, 41% from deep, 53% from the field, and 75% from the charity stripe will get you drafted high.

How can you say you are one

How can you say you are one of the few people that watches the cuse games? They are on national television all the time. Don't get defensive, he is a good player but not a top 3 pick. If you would have read my earlier post I mentioned how his game had changed since his fall. I understand it is natural to take it personal when people are talking about your squad but dont let your bias blind you. I hope he finishes the end of the year off good his team is going to need him they are about to play a brutal stretch of games; and if he plays like he did today against Louisville the cuse may hit a little rough patch here.

i havent seen much of either

i havent seen much of either but aren't aminu and johnson's games similar, except aminu is physically bigger and younger. Wesley Johnson to me is becoming more and more like a Josh Howard at best player in terms of NBA potential. Someone you dont run plays for but will hustle play D and work hard and get like 16ppg and 7rpg. Which isnt all bad but is that top 3 pick worthy. I think alot of gm's will pass on Johnson because of his age. I think guys like Favors, Motiejunas, Whiteside, Cousins, and maybe even Ed Davis have a better chance of being drafted ahead of Johnson because they are younger, and actual big men not a 3/4 combo like Johnson is. Im not saying they will all be drafted ahead of Johnson but Johnson stock is falling fast in my eyes. I would take Wall, Turner, Cousins, Whiteside, Aminu, and Aldrich over Johnson. I dont like Euro players, I just don't trust them so I wouldnt take Motiejunas over him and I wouldnt take Favors over him, yet.
