LEBRON OR EVANS AT THE SAME AGE

evans is what?..19-20..im curious because of another post..who would you take if they both came out this year at the same age without knowing how good lebron is now?

do you think evans will be as good as lebron even with the numbers evans is putting up as a rookie?

do you think he will be better then wade?

but i really want to know who would you pick

I said in that post that you are refering to that Tyreke has a little Bron in him. But let's not get carried away guys.

I like Tyreke's game a lot but LeBron is on another level.

I would take Lebron just

I would take Lebron just because of his size he can guard just about every position, and do it well. Not to diss Tyreke Evans because in time I think Tyreke Evans will play like a 6'5 Deron Williams. Just as recently as the Olympics deron williams was compared to Lebron James of point guards. So I like that Tyreke Evans-Deron Williams comparison a lot.

Are you guys fluckin

Are you guys fluckin nuts?????

Quincey, how stupid a question this is to ask.....

LeBron is the best prospect I have ever seen, ever. Most potential ever...

Tyreke Evans??? Multiple time all star, no doubt...But he will never reach the status of LeBron, enough said......

Definitely LeBron

Definitely LeBron. No disrespect to Evans, but LeBron was the total package coming out of high school. LeBron had more potential and more size coming into the 2003 NBA Draft. He had NBA ready size in his senior year of high school. Lebron was also more versatile. Look at his stats! He basically averages a triple-double each game. They were both really good scorers, but at the other aspects of the game, LeBron was just better at.

Will he be as good as LeBron, No

Will he be better than D-Wade, maybe, but I doubt it.

NO ONE!

The hype on LeBron was tremendous. I remember telling everyone how good he was/would be and people laughed at me..."No way, the kid is good but King James GTFO no way'...and then we saw him play that opening night, and no one believed he could do that all season with the Cavaliers. Evans came in underrated in a situation with far less pressure and a talented albeit young supporting cast. Evans was a pleasant suprise. LeBron was a REVELATION! He has at minimum met ridiculous expectations, and he has yet to peak. Evans is a very good rookie, with time and polish he could be an all pro behind Kobe and Durant in the West and Wade in the east. But LeBron, Kobe, Wade, Durant are modern legends in the making at various different points in their career archs. I hope Reke is able to continue on his rise but although he has good size for his position, LeBron is a statistical outlier on the bell curve, a powerball winner in the GENETIC LOTTERY! LeBron would be my choice, again no knock on 'Reke but I have watched hoop with awareness since '83 and physically I have never seen anything like him. Reke = 5-8 time all star if healthy, LeBron = 10-15 time allstar, 1st team all NBA 6+ seasons, and in the discussion of GOAT if he gets two or more titles, with one coming in Cleveland.

Lebron

Is probably the one guy who was ready to be in the NBA right out of high school. By ready I mean ready to play the game of basketball on the pro level. He had an NBA body, NBA game, great character, etc. There are some guys who have the size, but not necessarily the character. I think character is something many people underestimate when talking about a player.

Tony, I sort of hear what

Tony, I sort of hear what you are saying. Those peak stats for Tyreke seem fair, but like you said, LeBron is 3" taller and that alone allows him to do so much more on the court. Let's just let Tyeke be Tyreke.

Quincey, I respect everyones' opinion on here and you often throw out some good knowledge of the game but.......you do tend to be a hater brother. It is not so much what you say but how you say it. Very condescending.

thats because you read it

thats because you read it and take it the wrong way. its like texting someone..you can text someone something but say it in person and even though you say the same thing that is texted it can come acorss as 2 different things depending on how you take it

and youre right it is one

and youre right it is one mans opinion....so if i have a different opinion then thats still an opinion correct?...wouldnt hating be...."youre opinion is wrong"...doesnt my different opinion fall under the same lines?...if my opinion is the same as youres its an opinion. if it differs its still a opinion correct?...hating would be crossing that line and saying youre opinion is wrong

I think comin out everyone

I think comin out everyone knew lebron was goin to be great that is why they choose him over Carmello who was not only a great college player but one that just won the NCAA Title. lebron was suppose to be the next magic johson with crazy athletic ability. and its hard to find a person who is crazy athletic, crazy handles with passing ability, and a good head on their shoulders. you cant really say wat tryeke has thats better then lebron when they was rookies. so i def pick lebron

With tryeke in dwayne as far as rookies....i think tryeke will be an all around better player his is a better rebounder, and he can find ppl better..so he has a better potential to be a better player..but wade is a better scorer and will continue to be a better won if reke havic doesnt improve his pull up shot (even though its effective and getting better).

&& tell me what do you think lebron's numbers will be like once he reaches his
peak???????? i think something like 35-9-8-2-2 50-40-85. .

or if he goes to the knicks or the warriors (assuming he has a good talent around him)

DON'T CALL ME CRAZY. . but 40-15-15-5-5 50-40-85. . yes the first one to average a 5 by 5. . && the most impressive stat line ever. . i'm not saying it will happen. . but its in play. .

EVERYTHING's in play with lebron. .

no way!

Tyreke Evans is a nice player, but comparing him to Lebron is a complete stretch...As far as I'm concerned Evans has no LBJ in him. why would anyone say he does? because he handles the ball a lot and is bigger than typical point guards? think of all the attributes that LBJ is known for and tell me which ones apply to Reke...he's more crafty than explosive while LBJ's game is pure explosiveness, & his teammates dont love playing with him yet...he will never be as good as Wade imo either...i dont see him ever being a top 5 player in the league which Wade has been for a few years...maybe i'm missing something as i've been wrong on players before, but i just dont see it

Wow... Tyreke is a beast and

Wow... Tyreke is a beast and plays like a mini below the rim version of LeBron minus the super court vision, but this whole post was just disrespectful.

He'll never be close to

He'll never be close to LeBron, because LeBron is 6'8" 250lbs and has been since high school. He is a once-in-a-generation physical marvel. He is big enough to play the 5 and skilled enough to run the point. It just isn't fair to compare players to him. I think Evans could end up being close to Dwyane Wade, but it will be seen if he has the kind of work ethic as Wade to continue to grow his game. As a 20-year old prospect, Evans is probably operating ahead of where Wade was.

Did anyone actually read Quincey's first post?

It seems like this is turning into an argument about whether or not Tyreke will be as good as LeBron, which is not what I understood from Quincy's actually post when he says "but I really want to know who would you pick" referring to when he said "evans is what?..19-20..im curious because of another post..who would you take if they both came out this year at the same age without knowing how good lebron is now?" he even specifically mentioned not taking into account what LeBron has done since then; So...

I think that if they were both coming into the NBA this year and you already knew what their rookie years would look like, you would have to draft by position, with a slight edge going to LeBron, if you were going strictly without seeing either play at all in the NBA you would definitely have gone with LeBron because Evans was not expected to have even close to the impact he has had so far, while James got a ton of hype.

To answer the other two questions I would say that Evans will most likely not be as good or close to James, but I cannot rule out the possibility, especially when he is putting up very close numbers to LeBron's rookie season, but I find it highly unlikely. Evans I think will end up being about Wade’s caliber, which is still extremely good, but that might just be wishful thinking on my part.

BasketballAlan is the other

BasketballAlan is the other guy who read his post...Quincey was asking the question to see what other people thought about the topic. This whole post is just too see what y'all think, because this was brought up in another forum topic. He doesn't think that Tyreke Evans will be up there with Lebron, but he was almost "calling out" Tonydaboss77 for saying he thought he could put up numbers similar to Lebron. Some of y'all all are attacking him without reading his 1st post. Some of you guys just read the title and commented.
