I actually like the Evans/

I actually like the Evans/ LeBron one. Some call him Mini Bron, and for good reason. I just think the potential of Tyreke is scary. People who haven't really got to see him play this year got a chance to see what he can do in the rookie game. He is a man child who can get to the rack with ease, has great court vision in both the open floor and the half court game, and just looks like a savvy veteran the way he handles himself on the court.

When this kid develops his shot better, and he will, all limits are off.

A lot of scouts and GMs were way off on Tyreke.

tyreke-a lot less explosive

tyreke-a lot less explosive version of lebron
ricky rubio- jason williams (his vision and his haircut are the only thing him and pistol pete had in common)
steph curry- mike bibby with better pg skills
demar derozan- will be closer to gerald green then kobe or vince carter
...the rest are pretty good

just putting it out there . .

&& there's no way that tyreke is 6'5 220. .
probably more like 6'7 or 6'8 220. .

ALSO. . . . . . tyreke is a WAYYYY better defensive player than lebron was as a rookie. .

AND lebron wasn't always a mutant. . he worked towards it. .
&& tyreke could work towards that .

i was about to say the same

i was about to say the same thing about kj..he had many years of 20-10..

as far as what tmac should have been do you remeber what he was before injuries?..all nba first team and one of the best players in the nba?..some people have short term memory

. .

flynn has the potential to average 20-10 as well. .

&& if t-mac was healthy && tried as hard as durant does. .

durant could very well average 35-10-5 with 2 steals && 2 blocks shooting 50-40-90. . . easily

he was measured already..hes

he was measured already..hes not 6'7 or 6'8..you dont even have to look that up to know he isnt that tall... and how is he wayyyyyy better then what lebron wa son defense?..that would mean hes a shut down defender which he is not

http://www.draftexpress.com/nba-pre-draft-measurements/

he's 6'5

i dont see flyn ever being

i dont see flyn ever being 20-10..he isnt that type of passer. he's more of a scorer. and how do you know if tmac tried hard or not?..unless a player tells some one we dont know how hard they try. obviously he did try hard since he was so good all those years. durant has to get to that level, which i think he will.

pre draft measurements also said lebron was 6'8 245. .
when in his rookie year. . lebron was listed at 6'8 240. . so. . yea. .

&& i might be wrong. . he might be 6'5. . but he's got arms that make him look 9'5. .

&& paul westphal even said that tyreke was the kings' best defender. .he can EFFECTIVELY guard 4 positions. .

&& by the way tyreke's listed at 6'6 220lbs by the kings

Tyreke Evans reminds me of

Tyreke Evans reminds me of Larry Hughes. Lebron James is better at than him at everything except on-ball defense. I don't think you can say Evans is less explosive than Lebron when Lebron's explosiveness is one of, if not is his best trait.

kid..im not sure if you

kid..im not sure if you notice but this is a chat site..you say what ever you want..why are you worried about me though?..everyone doesnt agree with everyone on here. im sure tony knows this cuz he's been on a long time. maybe you dont because you are new here but thats just the way it works on here. no one comes on for peopel to agree with them all the time. they come to hear other peoples opinion and sometimes debate. if you have a problem with that there are plenty of other sites where peopel are happy and agree with everything that everyone else says

as far as evans the team sites always boost a players height..to get a true measurment you just go to the predraft measurments. but you are absolutley right as far as his arms which is more important then a players height

and yea paul said that but how many times do owners and coachs say there young players are the best this or that?

. . .

exactly. . ON-BALL defense. .
not weakside blocks. . not chase downs. . no passing lanes. .

1 on 1. . .tyreke is a MUCH better ON-BALL defender than lebron is right now as a 7 year vet. .

. .

that's the point. .

tyreke evans is as good as lebron everything but athletic ability. .

lebron's best talent is his explosion. .

take that away && you're taking away most of his game && all his defense. .

without his mutant like athleticism. .

what he did in his rookie year? yea. . that would be him at his peak. .

I don't know if you noticed but he stated his opinion. I understand to disagree with someone but what you do is play the smartass.

U act as if your better then people on this site....get over yourself. Plus, I never see you agree with anyone. As if your a hater...

i think i did say unless a player says then we dont know. we dont know if durant tries hard all the time do we?..we can guess but we dont know. im pretty sure no one tries hard all the time.. like when they arent running full speed to get back on defense or they are just standing and watching instead of crashing boards

as far as evans better one on on right now??....we shall see..imma check out how many points the players he has guarded have had to figure out just how great his on the ball defense has been

. .

&& they almost never say that their young guys are the best at this or that. .

thats the point. . .

lebron james
tyreke evans
kevin durant
derrick rose
john wall
dywane wade
kobe bryant
blake griffin
ricky rubio. . . (add more if i forgot any)

that's the list. . thats the list of player's of this decade that were compared to all-time greats. .

give all those guys average athletic ability. . && here's that list in order

kobe
durant
rubio
tyreke
lebron
rose
wade
griffin
wall. .

my point is that tyreke's already being compared with lebron now. . && he doesn't have half of lebron's athletcism. .

give it to him && he'd average what lebron does . . that's all i'm saying

ive heard plenty of times

ive heard plenty of times coaches say this or that player is the best at something or one of the best....lately d'antoni said it about gallo

ive heard ..the best at learning plays, the best at boxing out, the best at adapting

and heres the link to how guards have done against evans, sac
http://www.nba.com/statistics/player/Scoring.jsp?league=00&season=22009&... Sacramento

as far as those compared to all time greats...many have been compared but how many actually become as good as all time greats?...not many

&& as far as the trying hard topic. . yea i get what you're saying && i agree with you. . but mcgrady has never worked as hard as durant has until now (probably because he realizes that he's like 2 years from the end of his career) .

my point. . if you work hard then it will get out && surface. . && if you don't then that will surface as well

as far as rubio he cant even

as far as rubio he cant even be put on the list because he hasnt played one game in the nba!!!..if hes on it then you can add a couple of college guys and some hs guys.....people always compare good young players to great players but if you look at the hof and the past you will noticed that the chances of all these guys becoming great are very small

now imnot questioning evans

now imnot questioning evans ability because he is very very good. i dont think he would be as good as lebron but thats my opinion. but you can say " if this guy had this or that then he would be as good as this or that guy" for just about every player in the nba or in college. but all it is is a guess because we will never know how good a player would be if he had this or that

. .

that's what i'm saying. .
&& BEFORE READiNG KNOW THAT iF YOU GO BACK TO MY PREViOUS POSTS THAT lEBRON iS MY FAVORiTE pLAYER. . .

tyreke is on that path. .

tyreke is being compared to lebron. . meaning he has established himself as a argument. .
how many other guys can say that. . he's lebron-esque (sorry if i spelled it wrong) in every part of his game. . how many can say that. .

sure lebron: shoots better, passes better, is stronger, accomplished WAYYYY more, faster, probably higher basketball iq, etc. .

tyreke does one thing better. . i'm not saying that he's better as a player, but as a defender?

yes. . possibly. . its up for discussion. .

. .

yes we will never know. .

but if you convert rubio's stats to the nba. . then he's averaging 8-6-13 with 3 steals 38-40-94. . just throwing that one out there. .

&& NO!!! he will not be as good as lebron. . notice how i said best/most likely/ worst. . . he will be in the scottie pippen mold (pnly if scottie was the lead guy) which will be something like 25-9-7-2-2 50-35-85 %'s

youre right it is up for

youre right it is up for discussion as far as defense. as far as being compared to lebron thats only because of his numbers. lebron is a whole different level of a player. they are the same..evans is more comparable to wade. lebron always had a natural ability to make people better while being a physical and athletic nightmare. you could look at lebron from day one and see all time greatness in him... you see potential very good skills in evans but not lebrons greatness. its not even close

convert rubios stats?..that

convert rubios stats?..that makes no sense becaus eeurope is not the nba..there are guys with better stats then rubio and if you convert there stats they would be allstars. it just doesnt work that way. he has to play first. untill then everything is a guess or hope/wish. the euro game is alot different then the nba. and the players here are bigger faster stronger more athletic while playing a different style of basketball so no converting stats doesnt help

i know i know. . that's what i'm saying. . those comparisons were from a playing style resemblance type standpoint AS WELL as a numbers thing. .

&& you know alot. . do you mind me asking your age?

i think he'll be better than wade. . && tell me what do you think lebron's numbers will be like once he reaches his
peak???????? i think something like 35-9-8-2-2 50-40-85. .

or if he goes to the knicks or the warriors (assuming he has a good talent around him)

DON'T CALL ME CRAZY. . but 40-15-15-5-5 50-40-85. . yes the first one to average a 5 by 5. . && the most impressive stat line ever. . i'm not saying it will happen. . but its in play. .

EVERYTHING's in play with lebron. .

thats the thing you cant go

thats the thing you cant go by if's you cant go by if you take away this or that because thats what makes the player who he is. what if you take away evans hieght or his handles?..then clearly he wouldnt be the player he is now. make shaq 6'8, duncan,66...but thats not reality. would you take evans number one over lebron at the same age?..even without seeing the future (meaning what lebron has done up to this point?

just because evans put up

just because evans put up the numbers he's putting up right now doesnt mean he will be able to put up the same numbers lebron is putting up. hes avg 20pts 4.8reb and 5.1 ast which are pretty good and are better gthen some past greats..does that mean he's gonna be better then them?..nope

yeah youre right it does give us something to go by but its only half the story. i think roses numbers this year are comparable to last years right?..and how much of a jump does a rookies number's go up through out there career after they average 18-21 points a game?..i dont know the answer but im curious to know the statistics on that one
