PER is based on a player's Production!
PER (player effeciency rating) & per 48 are two totally different things.
Maybe you should study up on that.

Like I said it doesn't mean everything but it does mean something. Scouts wouldn't use it if it didn't mean anything. There wouldn't be articles written about it all the time if it didn't mean anything.
