State your case
Kevin Jones Soph from West Virginia: For some reason isnt on this sites mocks but is having a tremendous year. Has a pretty diverse skill set offensively. Can score in the post, spot up shoot, or score off garbage stuff. Just always seems to be around the ball. He's scrappy. Also pretty big at 6'8 245 should make for a very solid 4 man. Has a bit of a slow release on his outside j...but thats fixable with another year in college. Could be a really nice pick and pop stretch 4 man in a couple of years.
14 ppg 7.5 rpg 1 block pg 54% field goal 43% 3 pt
Jeffery Taylor (Vanderbilt) 6'7" SG/SF. Solid size for position. Elite athlete. Already a very good defender. Can create his own shot easily. Solid rebounder. Midrange jumper is OK. He can elevate over anyone & get his shot of anytime. Quick first step & is quick laterally.
Weaknesses- ball handling is average, passing is average. Lack of a jumpshot is his biggest weakness. He shoots pretty terrible from 3 point range.
I've seen him play in person a ton.
He is the best dunker I've ever seen in person. He can get his head well above the rim. He would win the NBA dunk contest.
52% FG, 72% FT, 13 points, 5 rebounds, 2 assists, 1 steal, .5 block
He will definitely be drafted whenever he declares. I think he is a 1st Round lock & if he develops a consistent jumpshot he is a top 10 pick.
He is just a sophomore on a top 25 team. He isn't asked to do everything. Vandy has a lot of talent so nobody on that team has great stats. Taylor can certainly do a lot more.
Tweety Carter, a Senior PG for Baylor. He's put up great stats this season 1st off. 16.7 ppg, 6 assists and only 2.8 TO's (that's a 2.26/1 ratio), 40% on 3's, 44% from the field and 1.4 stls. He's a great offensive player both scoring and passing. He won't be able to play off the ball in the NBA at his size as much (if at all) like he did in his 1st 3 years at Baylor, so the success he's had running the show for Baylor this season is promising to say the least. He's not a great leaper, but he's very quick and shifty with and without the ball and can create off the bounce. He's also a good on-ball defender. He should be a draft choice IMO, as he has good backup PG potential.
I like this topic. I'll name one more player that I've never heard talked about that will get drafted eventually...I think.
Kawhi Leonard 6'7" Freshman (San Diego St.)
Leonard leads the team in scoring as a freshman. That is impressive considering San Diego St. has a chance to make the NCAA tourney...they are on the bubble right now. He is aveaging 11.8 points & 9.6 rebounds a game. NBA Athleticsm...check. Upside...yes a bunch. The competition has been pretty solid too. San Diego St. has already played Arizona, Ariz St., Fresno St., New Mexico, BYU, UNLV, etc.. Most sites ranked him as a 4 star recruit coming out of high school.

1. Jordan Crawford 6'5 (Sophomore) Xavier:
Season Averages: 19.7 PPG, 4.8 RPG, 2.8 APG
Smooth playmaker, leading the team in scoring, knows how to play the game and also has Xavier as the top team in the Atlantic 10, not extremley quick but can get to the rim with variety of moves and knows how to play at angles, not super athletic but don't forget he did dunk on Lebron James. Competition he's playing has also been legit(Marquette, Baylor, Kansas State, Wake Forest, Dayton(2 times) and Temple)
Downfall: Not much upside seeing he is a sophomore but is as old as most seniors, but still a very good player.
2. DEVAN DOWNEY 5'9 (Senior) South Carolina:
Season Averages: 23 PPG, 3.5 APG, 3.2 RPG
Ultra Quick guard who can score ANYTIME he pleases, gets into the lane with ease and has a variety of cross overs hesitations, floaters, everything you can't stop him at this level, did I mention he AVERAGES 30 PPG in conference play, now while this won't translate to the NBA, his ability to get into the lane will and he can be a hell of a creator for other's at the next level, yes he's small and would possibly be a mismatch but so was Mugsy Bogues, Earl Boykins, and alot of other "Little Guards". Also outplayed John Wall and Eric Bledsoe.
Derrick Williams from Arizona.
The numbers speak for themselves. http://sports.espn.go.com/ncb/player/profile?playerId=45854
Look out for Solomon Hill in the future as well.
DanEboy- that is hard to predict..I really have no idea. If Leonard did enter the 2011 draft he would get drafted.
I told you all about Jeffery Taylor haha....scored his career high tonight 26 points with 7 rebounds & 3 assists. Played excellent defense on Hopson too. I was at the game.
I was going to do Kevin Jones but what about:
Jeremy Hazell - 6'5 SG who is a top 10 scorer in the nation averaging 22 points per game. He is also getting about 4 rebounds 1 assist, 1 turn over, 2 steals. He is a pretty good shooter and can get to the rim. Dont look for him to defend but he can at least score in the NBA. Maybe a good, second round pick..
A player that's very good is John Roberson from Texas Tech. Good shooter and a true PG, he's also pretty good getting to the rim. He's very comparable to a guy like DJ Augustin.

Alright so there is a ton of NCAA knowledge on here. State your case for a player who is not currently on either the 2010 or 2011 mock draft that you think has a chance of getting drafted. Don't just say a name, please explain why.
One guy that I can think of besides Scheyer:
Jimmy Butler JR from Marquette: A longshot but the kid plays tough and has a knack for getting to the line, 7.2ATTPG) He is 6'6 210 and has very good rebounding skills for his size. Can't really create his own shot but plays like a Q-rich. Doesn't attempt many 3's but MU has a bunch of 3pt shooters. He shoots the ball at a very high rate percentage wise. Gets a lot of his points on tip ins and attacking the rim. With Lazar leaving this year, he will have a chance to be a leader next year.
Season avgs. 15.3pts 6.6reb 2ast 1.2stl 57.4FG% 54.5 3PT 78.9FT%
Drop your knowledge guys, maybe you can convince Aran.
