Tyrus Thomas suspended one game due to conduct crap...

Tyrus Thomas didn't attend the Bulls' 95-91 victory over the Heat on Saturday night at the United Center after drawing a one-game suspension and undisclosed fine for conduct detrimental to the team. Team sources said Thomas directed a profanity-laced tirade at coach Vinny Del Negro in his office with players and coaches within earshot after Friday night's loss in Atlanta, the third straight game Thomas had played less than 16 minutes. One witness said it made Joakim Noah's vocal assault on then-assistant coach Ron Adams in 2008 look like "nothing."

It's good he got suspended,

It's good he got suspended, if he didn't no one would respect the coach.

Vinny Del Negro is a joke

Vinny Del Negro is a joke for a coach.  Tyrus Thomas should be playing way more than he does.  The coach is simply playing favorites because he doesn't know how to deal with Tyrus's personality.

Some team is going to get a good player in free agency because the Bulls aren't going to re-sign Tyrus Thomas.

Del Negro keeps starting Hinrich & Taj Gibson......they aren't quality starters.

Heels.....Tyrus is a baby

Heels.....Tyrus is a baby who will never fulfill his promise. Why on earth you back this clown is beyond me. Yes, he has a lot of potential, but he doesn't seem to care. There is a reason why he doesn't start. He doesn't play within the flow of the game. Every time he gets the ball he just attacks the rim and throws up wild shots and whenever he blocks shots he swats them into the stands, what good is that? Taj may not be as skilled as Tyrus but he has a better understanding of the game and is the smarter player. I will always agree with you on Vinny though....get him outta there.

Very true...Tyrus Thomas can

Very true...Tyrus Thomas can kill possessions offensively. Whenever I get a chance to watch Thomas play, he always makes about 3 or 4 plays where he just goes 1-on-5 and makes a play where he doesn't seem to know his own limitations. If he channeled in, he's a good player to bring in to provide rebounds, shot-blocking, and a decent amount of offense. He's a bit of a hot-head though, which is terrible for any coach. He's not good enough or irreplaceable enough to have the attitude and make a team look past his craziness.

Tyrus is a cool person. He

Tyrus is a cool person. He is just mad because he isn't getting playing time.  His type of personality is an asset to have in the playoffs.

Who is going to stand up to LeBron, or Garnett, or Josh Smith, or DHoward in the playoffs...?  (besides Noah)...Tyrus is the only post player that won't back down from those stars.  The Bulls will fold in the playoffs easily with Tyrus not playing...watch & see.

Personally I'm just of fan of letting the best players play the most minutes...If I were the coach the starting lineup would be:

Rose, Salmons, Deng, Thomas, Noah

Tyrus > Gibson

Salmons > Hinrich

(Name Any Coach) > Vinny Del Negro

The Bulls aren't going deep

The Bulls aren't going deep in the playoffs this year so they don't have to worry about who will defend those guys. That is why they need to go after a post presence in free agency or the draft.

I am a fan of letting players earn their minutes and not just get by on talent alone.

I don't think he has. Tyrus

I don't think he has. Tyrus has better per minute numbers but they are a more cohesive group with Taj.

I do like Chris Richard as a bench guy though. He has great energy, seems like a very good offensive rebounder, and is a big mofo. More minutes to steal away from Tyrus..ha

I can argue this all day Heels...let's go...bring it back.

Haha...I agree about Chris

Haha...

I agree about Chris Richard

I wasn't just talking about Tyrus's defense earlier. I'm talking more about his personality as well...I just see guys like Taj, Deng sort of being passive & backing down from the star power of LeBron & the trash talking from KG.  Tyrus won't have any of that...he is a stand up dude that won't get rattled.  He makes the team tougher & more competitive.

I agree with that but Noah

I agree with that but Noah has enough bad ass in him for the whole team. The Bulls are a team without an identity and they will be major players in the free agent market this summer. I can't wait for the day when Bosh and Wade are sitting at a press conference and pull out their Bulls hats to don. Most likely that won't happen but that would be some team.

Heels, do have a huge Tyrus Thomas card collection that you are banking on or something?

hinrich has consistently

hinrich has consistently outperformed salmons this season as well ... i don't know what it is, i've always liked salmons ... but it's really been a struggle for him this year

^ LawDee- no he hasn't.

^ LawDee- no he hasn't.  Where is your proof?  Look at the #'s...Salmons has a higher PER, better FG%, better 3 point %, better free throw %, scores more points, gets more steals, blocks more shots, & averages less turnovers! They pretty much play the same amount of minutes too. Hello you might want to rethink your statement. Vinny Del Negro just likes Hinrich more.  Vinny doesn't know much.  Salmons should be starting.

DanEboy- Nope, I don't collect cards anymore. I collected a lot of cards growing up during the Karl Malone, Charles Barkley, Jordan, David Robinson era.  I'm just a Tyrus fan, I like the way he plays (minus the ocassional brain freeze he has on offense) & his attitude.   I've meet him before & seen him play in person when he was at LSU...one of the coolest players I've spoken too.

heels

First you say the Bulls need to start Tyrus because he can stand up to the big name players like Lebron and KG... and then you say Salmons should be starting over Hinrich? If anything Hinrich brings that for the Bulls with his gritty defense and tenacity. You see what happened in the playoffs last year when he and Rondo were going at it? Or when he was harrassing Pierce on defense in the closing minutes of the game.

Salmons has been doo-doo all season long and has looked lost on offense. He takes bad shots when good shots are given to him. And everyone praises his defense but quite frankly I would rather have Hinrich D'ing up the Kobes and the Durants.

And as for Tyrus... He does seem to outshine Gibson when he plays but he is not consistent enough and often makes bad decisions. I really hope we can use him as trade bait before the deadline but with him not getting minutes it probably won't happen.

^ I know Salmons play has

^ I know Salmons play has dropped off from last season but he has still been better than Hinrich this year.  I've already given the #'s which show the proof.

Salmons made some big shots in the playoffs against the Celtics.
