On the new mock draft on the site it says he falls all the way down to 22 where San Antonio is at currently. You guys think he will actually fall this far? That would be a steal at 22 for the Spurs.
I wonder if he'll ever become a Brandon Roy/Jimmy Jackson do-it-all type
bcuz I dont watch college ball too much but I watched the Kansas vs kansas St
game and I literally didnt know he played
You can only be so successful standing behind the 3pt line b4 yu have to put the ball on the deck and make a play
for yourself or others
That's why they call it a mock draft, because it isn't the real thing. Mock draft only tend to become clear once the prospects get to the draft combine which is a long way off.
I saw Xavier Henry's debut against Hofstra and he hit everything in site. He is a pure shooter and that's it as of right now. He will be a 1st round pick if he enters after this season or after his sophomore season, whenever he enters. Though he is not NBA ready he needs to put in a lot of hard work in order to be a successful pro. He needs to be able to shoot off the dribble, create his own shot, and also be a formidable defender with his size that is all possible.
Yea I know its a mock but its surprising since I post a thread whether people will take Evan Turner or Henry a few weeks ago and everyone said Henry. I can see why he fell with his poor play as of late.
For everyone - including this site - including most ku fans - we haven't seen the last from him. He's definately hit a freshman wall and I predict he will burst through it.
If he was drafted today, 15-20 is the range i'd expect. Its too high risk to draft a wing top ten who wasn't the go to guy on his team. Julian Wright made that mistake with us. Its hard to gain trust from Coaches in the league to be a 2nd or third option. You have to be ready the moment you step on the court. Sure there have been exceptions.
Now, If he stays 1 more year and works on his ballhandling and mid range game, he will be the certerpiece of the offense. He will go top 7. He has the body, jump shot, and scorers mentality to be a 2nd or third option in the NBA. He has to develop the ball handling and mid range game that comes with on court experiance. Something he won't get if he bolted for the league this year.
Well said. I think with the Collins and Aldrich leaving after the season Henry will have to elevate his game a lot more and if he does that I can argue him being top 5 if he succeeds. He is going to need a quality PG in order to be successful though.
he seems a little slow which in turn leads to his inability to get into the paint. However he won't fall out of the top 20 because of his potential and shooting stroke.
I really hope that he stays for another year. Right now he isn't much more of a pure 3pt shooter and a finisher in transition. He needs to develop his handle a lot more as well as his mid range game and ways to get to the free throw line. All in all he still has a lot of devloping to do, and i he comes back for his sophmore year I can see him going back to being a top 10 pick
The only thing holding him back from being a better player is ball handling. If he doesn't improve upon those things, he'll be a Brandon Rush type player. If he does improve his handle more, he can be a Glen Rice or Allan Houston type.
no way, that would be stupid if he slips to 22.... i think that he will be top 10 pick
