andrew bynum

can some of the haters give him a lil more props now. because the same ones who think he isnt that good also said kendrick was the best or second best defensive big man in the game ( which i agree) and bynum played pretty well against him. he also seems to be starting to be more consistant playing with gasol. also gasol is the best or one of the best/skilled big men int he game but damn if he isnt soft. one time perkins missed got his own rebound gathered his self then dunked and gasol just stood there to the side with his hands up watching him

I really like Bynum. When

I really like Bynum. When he gets the ball early it really sets the tone for the Lakers. I think Bynum is easily a top 3 center in the league and has much better post moves than Dwight Howard. I've been somewhat disappointed by Gasol this year, he is so skilled offensively and defensively that it upsets me how soft he can be when playing against a mean and tough front line like Perkins and KG. He can be dominant at times, yet can get taken out of his game sometimes.

It's a Blessing For Bynum

People are complaining because Bynum is almost anonymous on the Lakers, but that's actually a good thing. It gives him time to develop at his own pace.

Think about Bynum on a different team that needs major production from it's big man. Instead of fitting in with all of the big time talent the Lakers currently have, Bynum could be on a team that actually depended upon him to be the man every night. That kind of pressure has ruined many young and very talented players.

I think a young 22 year old guy like Bynum, who has immense talent, is in the perfect situation because he has little or no pressure to perform at a high level every night. As a result, he will probably become a major star 1 or 2 years from now.

bynum is a franchise caliber

bynum is a franchise caliber big man. He had one play yesterday where he posted up and then did a quick turn and face up and nailed the 6 footer that looked so smooth. And he's still 22 years old, there's dudes coming out of college his age.

I've noticed when Gasol is

I've noticed when Gasol is out with injury of something Bynum plays great. I'm not saying trade one or the other but i would try to see what is different between when gasol is in or out. Maybe it's touches or odom spreading the court better than gasol. Whatever it is they need to find it.

that happens with just about

that happens with just about anything big man you take another good big man out the lineup and the stats go up. you put him back and they go down. theres nothing you can do about it because the games minutes dont change so its only natural for someones numbers to go down. think in terms of the olmypics or allstar team. when another good player is taken from the team then the other guy averages go up.

they've been playing better

they've been playing better together recently. But yeah, bynum could be a number one option on a lot of teams. I always said that kobe was dumb for asking the lakers to trade bynum. He wanted them to get either Jermiane Oneal or jason kidd in exchange, both of who make a lot more money then bynum as well. I am thankful that kobe is the lakers sg and not the gm.

i was one of those who were

i was one of those who were with kobe on that trade..lol.. i was in the win now mode and with either of them and gasol i think we would have won the title but in the long run it would have been a horrible move. i was just so sick of the inconsistantcy bynum played with plus kobe was in his trade or im gone mood. im glad the trade never went down

bynum is a top 2 or 3

bynum is a top 2 or 3 OFFENSIVE center. i like watching him play with odom because odom gives him the help he needs on the boards and allows him to focus on being a dominate offense player. after this season i give this team 1 more year before they have to start thinkin bout tradin either bynum, gasol, odom, or maybe even artest. cuz sum1 will eventually start b*tchin bout minutes/touches/ASG appearance.

I'm not as high on Bynum as

I'm not as high on Bynum as some people... I just don't think he plays hard consistently. He's soft... He doesn't bring that intensity at the defensive end... Nor rebounding the ball. He seems to be motivated by scoring and offensive touches... And when he's not scoring or getting touches, he looks uninterested and doesn't play as hard. He lacks overall awareness at the defensive end. I think that's where Phil wants to see him improve.

trade odom gasol or

trade odom gasol or bynum?..lol..you think phil cares if the plays cry about touches?if anyone might it might be bynum but i doubt it because he knows gasol is better as well as kobe. and kobe gasol and odom are smart vets so i doubt any of them complains about it especially since they will be winning titles. as far as bynum, some people forget he is still only 22. hes not a finished product and will get better. people are talking about how good he is now and he is a good 3 years from entering his prime
