Kaman is NOT that big of a snub

no real center on the west all star team, thats dumb. however, although it appears to be bs that kaman was left out, he really isn't that big a snub. he really isn't an all-star caliber player. he is a good player in terms of ability, but he is just not a #1 or #2 option capable player for a good team. the reason is that he is a very crappy 4th quarter player. its like in baseball having a great first half as a pitcher and then playing like crap in the 2nd half. u need to be good when it matters most and he isn't. also, he is not a tough player at all. yes he is averaging 20 pts a game but its not really like he leads a team to victory. i mean yes i know in terms of the competition to be an all-star he is deserving, but really if you think of what an all-star is, he isn't one. sure it would be nice to have kaman in the game, but really he is not an all-star player.

plz let me know what the

plz let me know what the clippers record would be without kaman.... cause it would be crap... while eric gordon was out he stepped up HUGE for that team... he is without a doubt deserving of the starting spot in the west... theres very few players that put up numbers as good as him as far as blocks pts and rebs.

you sir are on crack... and deserve many thumbs down

it should have been bynum or

it should have been bynum or kaman over gasol. Gasol has only played in like 60% of the games this year. I think winning should be rewarded so I think Bynum should have been there but Kaman should be there over Pau as well.

as for kaman vs Pau, i

as for kaman vs Pau, i hoinestly think that pau is clearly the better player. But he has played in 29 games and missed 17. So that's 67% of the games he has played in. If someone thinks that's not enough, then go with kaman. If you think that is enough, then go with pau. It could be easily argued either way. Certainly the clippers being under .500 did not help kaman's case. I'm not saying pau should be in over kaman clearly, but it's not that nig a snub to be honest.

i don't know

I thought Kaman deserves it if he was on the east team but the west is deep. I do think that Kaman deserves to get more recognition as far as being a bad pick in his draft. He seemed to be injury plagued but he has really put it together. I also think the same thing should be said about Andrew Bogut, he doesn't deserve a spot on the all star team but i think he wasn't that bad of a pick, even if d will and chris paul were over him.

I think

I thought the hardest place to get a spot was the Western Guard. I think of Westbrook, Ellis, even Jason Kidd has had a good year. I also though Boozer over Randolph. Josh Smith over Paul Pierce also make me very upset.

so basically you would take

so basically you would take gasol who played like half a season over Kaman who has been very productive all season? Kaman was snubbed, Gasol had no right to make this all star team even though he is an excellent player.

well 67% of games is more

well 67% of games is more then half a season and by the time the all-star game comes around it will be over 70%. But like I said, i wouldn't complain if they gave it to kaman. But when i watch kaman, he is very good, but by no means great. He is the number 1 option on a sub par team and he has some very good post moves. But he doesn;t take over games and dominate. I actually watch the clippers quite a bit and he doesn't blow me away. He just went 5-19 shooting the other day against the celtics in a very winnable game.

clippers- i agree with
clippers- i agree with everything you have said.  Kaman is solid.  He has to put up #'s on that Clippers team.  Still he isn't all-star caliber.

kaman has always been very

kaman has always been very good. He has just been injured a lot. Now he is healthy and he is the nuber one option. With a nice face up jumper and quick footwork down low, people shouldn't be surprised of what he is doing this year. He could be an all-star, but it's not like a huge snub or anything.

"He has to put up #'s on

"He has to put up #'s on that Clippers team"

Maybe, but it's not like D-Wade in Mia. where if he doesn't score 30 you can give them an L...They have plenty of players that can score, no problem on the Clippers...Still, I wouldn't have chose either...I would have gave Bynum the spot...

Anyways, David Lee...talk about snubbed

Kamen is a better Center

Kamen is a better Center then Amare in all seriousness. He's having a better season then Gasol. Gasol is a good player who probably is mroe talented, but Kamen is having a better year. The guy who said something about Kamen not taking over games is right, but does Gasol? In all honesty...who does? A handful of guys really have the ability to "take over games" and on the Clippers, the games are usually out of hand to take over anyways. And as a big man he doesn't have the ball in his hands to take over the game...he has to rely on his guards to get him the ball.

i thought this was interesting

DAVID LEE = SNUB, KAMAN NOT SO MUCH
Kevin Arnovitz of ClipperBlog says that Kaman is good, but probably not an All-Star for his play this season: "Kaman has done a admirable job restoring his career and establishing himself as a strong post presence who demands a double-team. He's also an above-average defender. These are achievements, and he's very useful to his team. We should recognize his value -- but not with an All-Star bid. Among centers, Kaman is second in the league in usage, but only 14th in PER. His true shooting percentage is 53.9, low-ish for an All-Star candidate. And his rebounding rate is the lowest of his career since his rookie season. Once a premier shot-blocker, Chris is now only 50th in the league in block rate among guys who play 15 minutes per game. My only beef is that Kaman was beaten out by the wrong Gasol."

lee didn't make it cuz he

lee didn't make it cuz he sucks on D and his team has a bad record. u can't just play offense to be a legit all-star. i think lopez due to all around game should have made it over horford and lee.

yes kaman and lee are both

yes kaman and lee are both snubs statistically, but its hard to argue them not mking it when you look at the rest of the rosters. The coaches rewarded winners and in that case lee and kaman aren't that big of snubs. i agree Pau hasnt played enough to deserve it, but since winning was being rewarded its harder to argue.
