MVP race

Here is my MVP so far and MVP contenders. Tell me yours or if you disagree with mine.

MVP---> LeBron James- 30-11 record. and the usual insane stat lines...He has lead the Cavs to victories against the best teams so far and they are looking like a championship squad.

Runner up---> Kobe Bryant- His team has the best record, i think, and he has been playing through injuries all year and still putting up 29+ point per and hitting game winners on a consistent basis...Good year for the Lakers record wise, but they do not look like a championship team and they got whooped by my MVP choice.

3--->Kevin Durant- He has the Thunder in playoff contention so-far and this has probably been his best year yet...He is one of th best scorers no doubt and he is going to win multiple MVP's in the future...I just don't think playoffs will be enough for people to give him the mVP votes, his team is up and coming. To win the MVP your team has to be one of the best.

I would put Roy at 3 ahead

I would put Roy at 3 ahead of Durant, he is holding that team together despite all their injuries.

i think it's a 2 person race

i think it's a 2 person race right now between kobe and lebron. 2 weeks ago i would have gone with kobe for sure, but he has fallen off due to some injuries while lebron just keeps getting better. However, give kobe some credit for playing through these injuries and setting a toughness example for the rest the team which is defenitely part of the mvp process. And i think the lakers have played their 2 best games in a row now that they are finally healthy so i wouldn't say they haven't looked like a title team but cleavland has. Cleavland has more losses and just got beat by utah and are now losing to the clippers.

I gave Kobe alot of credit,

I gave Kobe alot of credit, and it is well deserved...

On Clevland...I have been watching them all yr, and they still don't show up against the crappy teams, but when theres a challenge they always come out on top...They can beat any of the other top squads in a 7 game series right now, i think

maybe, but we haven't seen

maybe, but we haven't seen boston at full strength very often and the lakers still only have 3 losses this season when Pau plays. I think both those teams will only get better come playoff time and be better then the cavs. As for the cavs beating up on the lakers, yeah that was a rough game. But remember the lakers beat the cavs both times last year by double digits and lebron strougled in both those games, but he still deserved the mvp over kobe because it is a whole season that counts.

But I couldn't argue against giving ti to lebron at all, in fact I might give it to him as well right now. I'm just impressed that kobe hasn't missed a game in 3 years due to injury and he sets a toughness example for the whole squad.

i've always hated the term

i've always hated the term "mvp candidate". it makes it seem like some people actually have a chance of winning it. i once heard an announcer say manu ginobili was a candidate (few years ago). The point i'm trying to make is, if someone besides lebron or kobe win it then it was given to the wrong person 3rd place really shouldn't matter.

Beating the Cavs last year isn't going to help them this year.

i think

i think that d-wade deserves it this year cause he WAS mvp last year just it needed to be lebron (it was his first and he deserved it too in 05/06,07/08) i also think that nowitzki shouldnt be a mvp it should be lebron then kobe, wade and this year maybe lebron again but in this case i think that wade should be mvp

I think Lebron James will

I think Lebron James will win the MVP. And I think Brandon Roy should be the runner-up. Roy has kept Portland afloat despite 9 injuries to different rotation players.

Roy deserves a lot of

Roy deserves a lot of credit, but players like Webster (defends the other team's best player every game), Bayless and Miller also deserve a lot of credit too. It just hasn't been Roy. Portland has been competitive in the games Roy has missed. McMillian has had them playing great team ball, especially on defense.

I have to agree with Llperez22 that it's a two man race. I'd place LeBron at the top right now due to Kobe's recent struggles.
