Rumours

I have sources who say the Nets are no longer sold on Harris as a core piece on the team. If they can package him with an expiring contract or two and get a young All-Star in return, they might do it. If they knew they were getting John Wall, they'd surely do it. ESPN.com

Nets willing to trade Harris? I mean this guy has been pretty decent for the Nets, but who could they get for him?

There have been rumblings of a Calderon-Kevin Martin swap. The move would give the Raptors a lot of offensive firepower, but it would also cement their status as one of the worst defensive teams ever. ESPN.com

If the Raptors are trading Calderon, what do you think they could get in return to fit their needs?

I been saying this since last year. The Nets tried to deal Harris for LaMarcus Aldridge and POR didn't bite. He will be dealt for the right price.

Also- You have sources with ESPN? That's cool. Why don't you post more?

trades

i dont like either of those trade ideas. first harris is still young and is still a very good player, it might be a good idea to trade him if they get the first pick, but if they dont get the pick and trade harris, who will be there point guard?

Secondly, i am a big raptors fan, and i really really despise the idea of trading calderon for kevin martin.. Calderon is still pretty decent and is getting his shot back after his hamstring injury. He plays with a lot of passion and controls the game very nicely. Having him and jack as the point guards, who can also play together is perfect and they shouldn't change that.. Also, martin will make the raptors a worse team, cause he will take shots away from bosh and bargnani, and will not add any defense which they need from their 2 spot. Plus they have there emerging rookie playing that position so why stunt his development as a player? Horrible idea in my mind.

I agree. You can wait to

I agree. You can wait to trade Harris. I know a ideal trade for Harris

Harris, CDR to Indiana for Troy Murphy and maybe a lotto protected 1st rounder

I also agree on the Toronto deal- You guys need a defender and Martin is not.

nets

i see the nets looking for more of a wing player, because they have yi and lopez down low.. their sg is lee, so probably a small forward, but it all matters on the offseason to cause i dont see this trade happening this season..

i dont think harris should

i dont think harris should be traded unless it is a no brainer trade or when/if they get the 1st overall pick. why trade him know, they will still suck.

the trade fro troy makes no

the trade fro troy makes no sense. they have yi and lopez down low playing pretty well. i heard about them trading harris awhile ago. i doubt if it happens though. i think its just panic thinking because the nets are doing so badly

I think there gonna trade

I think there gonna trade Harris. To me, I would just keep Wall ( if they get him) and Trade him.

He's not a Shooting guard.

makes better sense to keep

makes better sense to keep harris even if they get wall to see how wall plays int he nba. no matter how good a player is in college theres always a chance they arent as good in the nba as we think they will be. much better to be safe then sorry. especially if you cant get fair or almost fair value for harris. plus its not a given the nets will even get the number one pick

What if Minnesota wins the

What if Minnesota wins the lotto? Do you think they pick Wall and trade him, or go with Wes Johnson or Favors?

And also, I'm not sure if they trade Harris for an SG. They have 2 young guys in Lee and CDR at the spot already. If they get Wall, I would think they should trade for a solid PF behind Yi or possibly to replace Yi, or another SF with T-Will. Just an opinion

If Minnesota wins the lotto,

If Minnesota wins the lotto, they get Wall but I think Khan might trigger that Rubio trade move to early

As a Kings fan

As a Kings fan I definitely was mad last year when they did not get the 1st pick even though they had a 25% chance. The thing that people have to realize is that there is a 22% chance of getting the 2nd pick and a 19% chance of the third pick, as well as a 34% chance of getting the fourth pick. Just because the Nets have the best chance does not mean that they will get Wall; and if I was to place a bet on it, I would have to bet against them getting Wall, because a 75% chance is much better than 25. Even if they do get lucky I have to agree with Quincey that you should never trade a star player because you get a great college player. What if wall turns into a Darko and the Nets are left without that coveted star PG that most teams crave? If Wall did go to the Nets and after a season he proved to be more valuable and that he and Harris could not play together, then we can have trade talk.
