last 5 drafts by confrence
"So the pac 10 and acc seem to produce the most nba talent while the big 10 and sec produce the least nba talent over the last 5 drafts."
Not that I don't appreciate the time it took to add those up, BUT, who of those players made all star teams? Who is on their way? Who starts? Who is still in the league? To make that comment about nba talent I think it'd be more interesting to see the type of talent not just the number of players.
faction, there could be numerous ways to go more in depth on this subject. I simply took the last 5 drafts and added together who was picked. This subject could be done with much more in depth. But my comment about the pac 10 and acc producing the most nba talent over the last 5 years is neither biased or innaccurate based on the criteria.
I dont expect to see anyone in the PAC-10 going in the 1st round this year....But in 2008 it produced several guys that are making an impact in the NBA and are bound to be AllStars soon..Mayo, Love, Westbrook & Brook Lopez...Expect the SEC & Big East to produce the most draft picks this year..
Major 6 conferences over last 5 drafts
total number of 1st round picks:
Pac 10:.....22
ACC:........22
Big East...18
Big 12.......14
Big 10.......12
SEC..........10
total number of lottery picks:
PAC 10:.....12
ACC:..........12
Big East......9
Big 12.........8

Just felt like looking this up. So the pac 10 and acc seem to produce the most nba talent while the big 10 and sec produce the least nba talent over the last 5 drafts.
