why is Cal's Jerome Randle not an NBA prospect?

Why is this guy never mentioned on this site as a potential draft pick, not even in the second round? He's fast as heck. He has NBA shooting range which he demonstrates on numerous occasions. He led Cal to the ncaa tournament last year and currently has cal sitting in first place in the pac 10 this year(only loss was in ot against the bruins, hehe). Only thing wrong i can see is he is small about 5-11 I think. But they said that same stuff about aaron brooks when he came out. So where's the love?

this years stats:

19.1pts....4.7asst....2reb....46%fg....42%3pt....93%ft

last years stats:

18.3pts...5asst....3reb....50%fg....46%3pt....86%ft

look at those shooting numbers from the pg position

what i don't get, is if guys

what i don't get, is if guys like eric maynor last year and sherron collins this year are considered nba players, why does a guy like randle who has been balling for 2 straight years like he has get shoved aside with no mention? If he was playing in the big east, would fans give him more respect? Say what you want about the pac 10 this year, but no conference has had more lottery picks over the last 5 drafts. The pac 10 produces nba talent on par with any confernece in america.

being a big UW fan its hard

being a big UW fan its hard for me to sympathize for other pac-10 players but i cant disagree with you here..jerome randle is extremely filthy and has one of the sweetest jumpers, he's small but he can score, hes an effective leader and has a winning mentality...a late 2nd round draft pick and this guy becomes a poor man's aaron brooks

yeah, i'm not saying 1st

yeah, i'm not saying 1st rounder. But I've not yet seen this guy crack even the second round on this site and I have to wonder why. What does he not bring to the table and he's done it 2 years in a row.

And UW looked sick last night. I have no idea how they lost 3 of their first 4 pac 10 games. They have length, speed and athleticism.

I have him as a mid-2nd

I have him as a mid-2nd rounder in my mock. He's a good yet diminutive scorer. He reminds me more of Mike Wilks than Aaron Brooks though. He's got decent quickness, but he's not as quick as Brooks.
