DeJuan Blair fouls out with 28 pts, 21 rebs
lol standing probably 6'6"; beast?
He started at Center according to the boxscore, to bad he did not put up those numbers when Duncan was playing because then there would be no excuse not to be amazed.
The guy has a serious talent for finding the ball. As long as he stays injury free I see good things for his future.
He's a bull in the China Shop....
Lookin' like Chuck Hayes at that size rebounding like B Wallace back in the Day and Scoring like The Diesel. Haha
This guy will be the face of undersized bigman......not paul milsap
DeJuan Blair defines the Mark Twain quote, “It's not the size of the dog in the fight, it's the size of the fight in the dog.”
hes a beast. I remember almost throwing my remote at the tv when the blazers passed over him 5 times...... I just hope he doesnt decide to pull an Eddy Curry and stop caring once he gets the big contract , or end up injured the rest of his areer. But he will be an All-Star.
He is a beast....speaking of beast, Al Jefferson has 20 points and 26 rebounds! 26!
Al's like bet you won't try to trade me now
First, it speaks to the total and complete crappiness of the Thunder bigs. Not only does Pops give Duncan the night off against a conference opponent with a winning record, but they get completely worked by a 6'6 center. Second, to the guy who said he is going to be an All-Star, this comes off games where he went for 2-1, 4-2, and 2-2. It was an impressive game, but keep things in perspective.
Foolish Bulls should have taken him 26th instead of Taj Gibson... DeJuan did kept his promise that he's gonna give 1000% to the Spurs because they're the only ones who believed in him...
Blair is the biggest steal in this draft cause c mon son blair was a beast in college but scouts slept on him cause he has no ACL's but he hasnt missed not one game or practice his whole college career so that should count for something. He will take Timmy's place when he's ready to retire and the Spurs will feel good about lettin Timmy retire
He hasnt missed any games or practices yet teams still were scared away and did not draft him...The dude is a beast, If he gets starting minutes in a couple of years then i could see him being an all star
Actually, the reason he only gets big minutes sparingly is that there are teams where playing a 6'6" player in the frontcourt gets them killed. San Antonio isn't Minnesota. Pops doesn't get all enamored with a fancy stat line, he coaches to win. He isn't going to get any taller, and those legs aren't getting lighter. He can't help them against Dallas or LA. You can put him in there against Jason Maxiell, Kevin Love, and Jeff Green, but he is always going to be a situational player who is going to struggle against length and athleticism.
bothteamsplay hard. this shouldnt suprise you, anytime a player does well especially a rookie for a game then they get overhyped. i like blair and hes pretty good but i dont think he will be the fae of under sized big men over millsap. millsap may not have had those type numbers in one game as a rookie but he was more consistant while having to play behind 2 all star talents in the front court. blar only haas to worry about one . and both coaches dont like playing rookies so no one can use that excuse i they try to say blair is better but gets less time because his coach doesn play rookies. what blair did was very impressive last night though
He is a great rebounder and finds a way to get to score. great role player, wish the cavs would have taken him.
I will say i was wrong about Blair, I did not realize he would get enough time to show what he is showing. I never doubted his skills but I did not see him cracking the rotation until next year. I originally had him being taken by indiana in the first round and I know Indy is looking so stupid now for taking tyler.
i wouldnt say they are looking dumb...tyler is putting up 8pts and 5 reb a game in 18min. blair is putting up 7 and 6 in 17min
