Indiana Pacers should take Evan Turner

If the Nets get the 1st pick let's just say that is in stone. If the Pacers are not picking 2, say they pick between 4 and 6, they MUST trade up with whoever picks #2 in order to get Evan Turner. Besides John Wall (Indiana could use a PG), no one fits the Pacers better than Evan Turner. For Evan Turner to compliment Danny Granger just the idea of it can be very deadly for years to come. Also, I think Evan Turner is the type of player Larry Bird would want on his team, stayed in college for 3 years could have been in the 2009 draft, but decided to stay in college things Larry Bird likes. If the Pacers do not get Evan Turner they are making a huge mistake because no one fits Indiana in this draft better than Evan Turner.

Wolves get #2 pick, Pacers

Wolves get #2 pick, Pacers get #4 pick.

Pacers trade Danny Granger and the rights to Xavier Henry for Al Jefferson and the rights to Evan Turner. What do you hypothetically think?

If that happens in May, then

If that happens in May, then it would be tempting. The Pacers would look like this then
PG: TBD
SG: Evan Turner
SF: TBD/Troy Murphy possibly
PF: Al Jefferson
C: Roy Hibbert
Psycho T off the bench

The T'Wolves would look like this
PG: Jonny Flynn
SG: Xavier Henry
SF: Danny Granger
PF: Ryan Gomes or Kevin Love
C: Kevin Love or Ryan Hollins

I don't think that would benefit the Pacers, so if I was Larry Bird I would not do it.

i dont think im trading a established future allstar like al for 2 players who potentially could be good but could also turn out to not be so good

i must not have read it all

i must not have read it all the way because i though it was just al for the 2 draft picks. yeah that would be a interesting trade. as a matte rof fact i would make it if im getting granger plus 2 lotto picks. im not liking kevin love or eyan hollins as my starting center though

I do not like the deal that

I do not like the deal that was suggested at all because it does not really help the Pacers that much it would make Evan Turner the leader of the back court right away, not good to make a rookie lead right away. Having Granger would ease him into it.

What about the fact that the Wolves will be getting an All-Star in Granger?

Personally i'm a Pacers fan and i want Turner more than anyone in this draft but i don't want to have to trade Granger to get him.

I agree. The lineups I typed

I agree. The lineups I typed out makes me look at the trade as not worth doing for the Pacers.

I don't see how that helps

I don't see how that helps Indiana. Even if one thinks Turner is the second best player in the draft, and he probably is, Xavier Henry isn't going to be a bum pick a few slots later. I like Al Jefferson, but Danny Granger may very well be a top ten talent in the league. Just think about how bad that team is around him. They are starting Earl Watson, Roy Hibbert, and have a constant battle at the 2 between Dahntay Jones, Brandon Rush, and Luther Head. Tyler Hansbrough and his 36 percent from the field are coming off the bench. Dunleavy isn't bad, but he breaks down every other week. That isn't good for a D-League team, much less an NBA. LeBron or Kobe couldn't carry that team anywhere. The only way they get better is to add actual talent around Granger. He is the only one on that squad worth making an effort to keep.

sometimes teams trade a

sometimes teams trade a bunch of players and one player they may get rid of thats in that bunch isnt better then the best player on the other side of the trade because they dont feel that player can take them where they want to go. and they may feel they can find another player who can do just as well at that position. they may also feel that they cant find a player as good as the player they get in return because the position he plays doesnt really produce players as good as him. does that make sense?..kinda confused my self for a minute while i was typing it

Danny Grainger

Danny grainger is a great talent but do you think he is putting up the numbers because he is on a weak time ala kevin martin. I just dont see him leading anyone to the promise land. He is good 2nd option on a midlevel team and 3rd option on a good time let me know what you guys think.

Evan Turner has the means to make everyone around him better with this weak draft he would be well suited in any offense that has the ball in his hands
EVAN TURNER: Joe Johnson slash Tyreke Evans a good comparo 1 tier down for me, but hope he proves me wrong
Al Jefferson is proven but I know what the sota is doing...they may try to dismantle and do a run style offense if rubio returns which would X jefferson out.

i think scores can score and

i think scores can score and i think martin and granger can score no matter what team they are one. will them scoring make the team better or a contender? im not sure but i think it can if they are a second option.
