I have noticed

Some people on this board believe that if the Nets get John Wall they MUST trade away Devin Harris right away. Devin Harris is someone many teams would want even if it is mid-season or for the 2011-12 season. What if John Wall starts out playing stagnant or gets hurt who not better than Devin Harris to take over duties. Also, what are the current benefits of getting rid of Harris right away rather than in a year. I mean they can still get a quality SG in a year rather than right away. I just want to hear people's thoughts.

Meh

The benefits are that if Harris begins to pick it up this year he can be dealt at a very high price because he is still young and is very talented. But I do agree they shouldn't trade Harris right away because if they do free agents such as amare stoudemire will not want to go there as much as they would if they did have Devin.

Wall will be good, but he's

Wall will be good, but he's going to undergo some growing pains anyway I think. He's not real polished right now, especially in half-court, and he'll need a good bit of the season to adjust to the NBA game. But he'll be a beast at the end of the year, ala Dwyane Wade in 03-04...I wouldn't trade Harris either right away though. You never take that kind of risk...

the thing is harris can

the thing is harris can bring the Nets either a good power forward or small forward. If they get Wall and sign Lebron all they would need is to get a good power forward (Yi is ok but not great). Of course this depends on singing a 2010 free agent which isn't likely but if they do and get Wall why not trade harris.

If the Nets don't want

If the Nets don't want Harris then trade him to the teams across the river!

THE NETS

I like a couple players for the nets as assets if they draft wall Harris, Yi, Williams (Good enough with time), Lopez, and Williams the center like him as well

Trade CDR he is a 6th man at best and is starter for a bad team doing okay but is better suited for the bench

Trade away the rest of the team and rebuilt, everyone else should be expendable

Keep wall and harris, as you can see with the blazers you never know. You need two starters for every position for as talented as the league is now.
