SOPH and ROOKIE TALK HAS DIED DOWN
early in the year these 2 guys were talked about alot. ryan anderson was thought by some to be the starter who was gonna put lewis on the bench and speights was so good that people were calling for brand to be traded instead of waiting to see if he could continue his great play. both are still good and will be good assests to there team but people didnt think about how anderson is basically a one trick poney and speights is young and has always been inconsistant even in college although very talented
we watched jennings dominate people from billups to rose but recently his shot has left him. hes still getting the same looks but just can seem to hit the shots and now some of the shots that were considered good shots are now bad shots. the strange thing is the bucks still find a way to win
jeff teauge- many people thought he was gonna replace bibby and that his jumper was money but his jumper is rondo like. just like the rest hes young so we shall see how he turns out
anthony randolph- yea his minutes were funny in the beginning but they have been getting more consistant at 22 a game and he shows flashes here and there of his potential but reports are that his attitude isnt that great and sometimes he gets over powered and looks lost on the floor from time to time. his range and handles arent good enough for the sf yet and he doesnt seem to be strong enough to be a very effective pf. some thought hed be a star this year. good thing he is young like the rest so he has time to change these things
deandre jordan- out of everyone on this list hes shown the least improvement. he is playing behind 2 good big men but even as a back up he should be doing better then dj mbenga whos playing behind 3 good big men and gets less minutes
Could this be the Rookie/Soph wall that we are seeing?? BTW, good post. This could all be because of the length of the season. They have already played more games than they had in college and they arent even half way through the season. The NBA season is grueling and takes a special person to jump right into it and be productive all year. I think these guys will eventually level out. I dont really have faith in Jordan but who knows, he could be a Pryzbilla type player. We will just have to wait and see.
Randolph's out 2 months he got hurt vs the kings the other night
of course all of this is for how he was doing up till he was injuried
I don't think anybody thought Teague would replace Bibby this season. Teague is behind Bibby, Johnson and Crawford on the guard depth chart. His jumper isn't money, but saying it's "Rondo like" is taking it a little too far.
As for DeAndre Jordan... He's not ready yet. It's going to take him some more time before he's ready to contribute consistently in the NBA. When/if Griffin returns, I don't think he'll see any minutes at all. He needs to dedicate himself to watching game film and learning about defensive concepts. He really needs to focus on the little things. He understands that too and isn't complaining about his playing time. He wants to get better and I think he will.
you would think no one would think that but if you go back you will see me argueing with people saying jeff is gonna need time and you gotta be patient while some people were saying by mid season he would be taking the starting spot from biddy
Its a little early to be hitting the rookie wall, but Jennings dosent look good at all...shoots way too much for a rookie shooting under 40 percent from the field!
