Michael Redd career could be over.

Redd Out For Season With ACL, MCL Tears

Jan 11, 2010 5:30 PM EST
Michael Redd suffered tears to the anterior cruciate ligament and medial collateral ligament of his left knee during the game Sunday. He will miss the remainder of the season.

This is the same injury -- tears to both knee ligaments -- that Redd suffered approximately one year ago.

Redd is 30 years of age and the injury is considered career threatening.

its pretty much clear the bucks cant trade him now. because of his serious injuries problems, plus the fat contract hes got.

thats too bad michael redd

thats too bad michael redd has been a really good guy for the NBA...there's no doubt in my mind that his injuries are career ending however...he suffered the exact same injury a year ago, the chances are very low for him to come back...sad story

milwaukee should try and get xavier henry now

Damn... I knew he tore

Damn... I knew he tore something as soon as it happened. Real unfortunate considering what he went through last season. I hope this doesn't end his career.

The injury bug has taken huge bites out of ankles, knees and shoulders this season.

Sad stuff...Injuries are

Sad stuff...Injuries are killing Redd, and I think they should be looking to select Henry or Evan Turner in the draft if possible...

Evan Turner they will have

Evan Turner they will have no shot at. Henry is a possibility. I think they will have to trade up in order to get Henry though. I mean they can still play well w/o Redd where the playoffs are possible, and Henry will likely get drafted in the Lottery so trading up is necessary.

I think he will get another

I think he will get another shot to play eventually. But not until his contract is up and someone can sign him cheap. Maybe if he just spots up the rest of his career he can be a role player for a good team. But there is no way a shooter like him doesnt play in the nba again.

I hate to see a guy like

I hate to see a guy like Michael Redd go down like this. He has been one of the fantastic scorers and shooters in the league, but now this is Jennings' team. Time to call it quits man. This will give Jodie Meeks a chance to possibly start/play a lot of minutes for them.
