who on here thinks the grizz can be a winning team without zach
Without Randolph the Grizzlies would stink just like they did last season.
The addition of Randolph has been huge for this team
I know a lot of people aren't going to like this but Randolph arguably has been the best overall player for this team this season. Sure Mayo & Gay have all the hype, but Randolph deserves the credit.
Without Randolph no way this team is a winning team. Heck they are at .500 now with him.
what randolph brings is something gasol will grow into and with thabeet starting at center we get a game changer on defense he is coming along nicely he alters so many shots its crazy dont need him to be a post option jus solid from the line and a finisher he seems to have good hands and instincts from what i c i have league pass and watch every grizz game... gasol only take s10 shots to get his 15 mayo 15 to get his 18 and rudy about 17 to get his 20 we can give them more opportunities and with the better defense hold teams to lower scores.. plus we need a bench we have no one we will be alright without zach he will get a contract and career revival and we get a preview into Grizzles future
i personally remember when zach randolph was traded to memphis EVERYBODY HERE (on this site) was saying that he was the black hole of the offense and would ruin that team... i loved my boy all the way back to the michigan state days and i know what he can do.... so this is to all the haters who said he would suck on memphis...
yeah it took me awhile but i ame around. its weird because i never liked boozer but i always liked zach.. i think i was going by what history shows us with the coaches picking the guy on the team with the better record if everything else is almost equal...and agentgpdaglove is the guy who was tryna convince me they could be the same without zach this or next year
and no not everyone...if you look back you will see me saying he wasnt a black hole and that he had to score on the bad teams he was on and i even backed it up by showing his attempts per game...go look it up if you doubt.
they can be as good and that is taking nothing away from zach but they have scorers they wont miss his scroing plus gasol will want and warrant more opportunity's and so will gay and mayo... add a bench and they wont miss his offensive production even though he is balling right now... what zach provides is creating a culture of expecting to win they have talent with or without zach... a better bench and with the added defensive pressure that thabeet brings they wont miss zach.. mayo takes the big fourth quater shots.... zach is showing the pups the way and they will take over wen he leaves for his big payday its a win win watch
I've been a fan of Randolph since his days at Marion High School! You can't call people haters for saying he was a black hole because up until now that's exactly what he'd been. All he cared about was getting 20 and 10. He worked hard during the summer for the first time in his career and is now focused on playing a complete game.
thats want we want thabeet is 7'3 with good hands from what ive seen watching them on league pass they can play high low with thabeet getting Randolph offensive put backs while marc works one on-one plus marc is and excellent passer.. we dont need more scores in the starting lineup we need a balance of defenders and scores if we want to be elite look at the lakers most of the offensive talent they have is stuck watching Kobe but its the fact that artest and bynum can play d that makes it work.. i love what randolph brings but at best he is a passable defender thabeet could be dominant which 1 would u rather have i know dominant sounds good 2 me
you say could dominate...thats down the road not in year one or 2..thabeet is a project. he isnt ready to start. he is barely ready to play..u are putting all youre hopes onto what you hop he can do instead of what he can do which isnt much right now. theres a reason he gets the time he does and puts up the stats he does
lol @ u changing what i was saying to this year or next, zach is under contract this year so this topic is stupid, and i said if they couldnt resign him for less money they would let him walk or get a trade done, and YES i do think we can still be a good team at that point with thabeet 3 year pro, marc 4 year pro, rudy 6 year pro, insert shooting guard, and mayo 4 year pro, the bench should be solid in that time frame as well
im not talking about in the distant future im talking about now and next year. does anyone think that thabeet, arthuer and marc can replace what zach does for this team?..do ya'll think the grizz would be a winning team this or next year without zach??...just curious
