Yi Jianlian

since we are on the topic of overseas guys this one needs to be adressed. there was a topic about him before but some spam thing came on and bumed it out before it could really get going

this kid has been looking very good and putting up very good numbers at 16 and 7 while sharing the ball with 2 allstar talents. he should be getting as much attention as galinari and would if there wer more nets fans on here( i think there might be one but he hasnt been on in a long time)

this was a big year for

this was a big year for jianlian to step up after he showed little improvement last season, and he has. I've had my eye on him all season and he is putting up 16 and 7 like you said. He is also getting over a block and shooting great numbers from the field, 3, and ft. And beyond stats, he appears very confident out there and is being aggressive.

he put in work on the off

he put in work on the off season and is now
a muscular 250 pounds

good for him he is a centerpiece for the Nets

Nets are full of guys who can all give you 20

small forward is their biggest need and Vandeweghe is high on keeping Yi to attract free agents in 2010/2011

you bet it is. its liek i said when you have a good big man next too you youre numbers will go down. idoesnt make brook any less talented just shows that when you have to shar down low this is what tends to happen. now do peopel understand??

and 6'6pg i usually dont agree with you about the muscles make the biggest of difference but in this case i have to agree with you because he is bigger and it seems have given him more confidence

yi getting stronger has

yi getting stronger has defenitely played a role. And Brook said himself that he is having trouble adjusting to having yi out there, but they should be able to compliment each other because both guys can step away from the basket allow the other to work down low.

i agree they will eventually

i agree they will eventually learn to work together. this is what i was telling a bunch of people about bynum when gasol came back. brooks numbers shouldnt get as low as bynum though since yi isnt as good as gasol but it shouldnt suprise peopel to see his numbers start to go down... but i bet some people will start to say brook isnt as good now without taking into accoutn that he has another good player playing next to him now

You keep talking about

You keep talking about Bynum's numbers. Everybody expecting his numbers to go down. I told you that during the pre-season and beginning of the season. What I didn't expect from Bynum was for his heart to disappear and for him to start playing soft.

Yi

It looks like the Nets are building around him. That scoring average of 16 ppg will rise as he plays more games since getting hurt. He has led the Nets in scoring in 4 of their last 5 games. I am a big fan of his he has a great jump shot, can take the ball to the baasket and he is very athletic. Being stronger allows him to score inside and finish around the rim better. He is attacking the rim and getting more dunks this year.

you guys both make good

you guys both make good points about bynum. Yes his numbers and touches go down with pau in the lineup, that's why you always hear phil talking about how he needs to focus on defense if he wants to help the lakers win. At the same time, he had a number of dissapearing acts where his effort was inexcusable and he didn't leave it on the court. Not all the time, but enough times to hurt his chances of making the all-star game.

Yi is an impressive talent

Yi is an impressive talent offensively man..He's a 7'0" perimeter player. He has the ability to be a mismatch every night...And he shows the ability to get there. I went to the Hawks game Wednesday and he wass the Nets best player by far. He has the ability to be great 2nd or 3rd option...

What was the point of you saying, "I didn't know Bynum was playing hurt" right after I said he wasn't playing with heart and was playing soft when Pau returned? Lol.

now thats the definition of

now thats the definition of a hater. this guy will hate on th lakers and there players every chance he gets or on any player that out plays someone hes likes. you say youre from indiana and the pacers are youre team but youre a pu$$y fan who only supports youre team if they do will. i can respect a knicks fan because even with there team down they still stand behind them. you on the other hand resort to going to other peopels teams and standing behind players that are from indiana. i think a true pacer fan would beashame to know you are a so call fan. how about you do liek everyone else on here and back youre team instead of bandwagon hoping. put up pictures of youre pacers you fair weather fan

Man, you guys should chill. I've seen tezo give the lakers plenty of respect in the past. We just argue about little things on here, no need to get personal with this stuff.

Why are you getting mad? You

Why are you getting mad? You just said the other day that you don't make excuses for players, but then turned around and just made one for Bynum. You made a post dedicated to not making excuses, but here you are making one.

You don't make any sense. Read through my posts... I've had season tickets for years lol. I go to almost EVERY Pacers game and support my squad. I've been a Pacers fan since the days of Reggie Miller, Rik Smits and the Davis brothers lol. I support my squad to the fullest, but like any other fan... I'm critical also. I pay money and go support my squad lol. Not only that, I pay money to watch them on League Pass when they're away lol. What's fair weather about that?

Jordan is my favorite player ever, hence the picture. I rooted for him, UNLESS he was playing against Reggie Miller and the Pacers. When I first joined this site, I had a picture of Reggie Miller. I'm a midwest guy, so I've always kept up with midwest teams.

I support the players I know personally and hooped with from my area. Eric Gordon, Josh McRoberts, George Hill, Courtney Lee... Among others. I've been a supporter of Rose since meeting him during a summer of AAU when he teamed up with Gordon.

As far as the Lakers go... I'm a big fan of Kobe Bryant and the Lakers. I root for the Lakers unless they're playing the Pacers, Clippers, Blazers or Bulls.

You're getting a little too sensitive dude. The thing is... You don't even make sense. Getting upset and tripping over your own feet. Tie your shoes up.

There is nothing wrong with

There is nothing wrong with supporting multiple teams & players.

I have never been loyal to a single NBA team.  I simply root for teams that my favorite players play for.  At the moment I like the Bulls & the Warriors.  If Rashad McCants ever gets signed then I will automatically become a fan of the team he plays for.

You guys are entertaining. Arguing makes things interesting but lets keep things respectable.

I spit Ether...haha

I've always represented my

I've always represented my state to the fullest. I root for ALL teams in Indiana lol. Pacers, Indiana State (alum), IU, Purdue, Notre Dame, Butler... Even IUPUI and Ball State lol. I was glued to the tube when Bonzi used to play for Ball State lol. IUPUI and Butler are like 10 minutes from each other. I used to watch AJ Graves at Butler one day and then drive downtown to watch my boy George Hill the next.

This dude talking about being a fair weather fan when he's not even FROM LA lol. How easy is it to support the best team in the NBA? Have some balls and root for the underdog once in awhile. He seems like the kind of guy who walks into the gym and wants to join the best team. Me... I walk in the gym and join the worse team because I want to make them win.

He's not spitting ether... He's choking on it.

this is why lopez is

this is why lopez is OVERRATED. You put anyone that can score next to him and he becomes what he really is, a 14 and 7 center. Decent but nothing special.

that whole "young talent"

that whole "young talent" thing about the nets is overrated. On a 3-32 team that scores 90ppg someone obviously has to get numbers. Logically someone HAS to average 20ppg or else it wouldnt be an NBA team. However averaging 20ppg on a 3 win team halfway through the season means jack because not only do they play like 15 minutes of garbage time per game, they also get the looks and touches that they would never see on a team with talent. Every player in the NBA is capable of putting up 15+ if they are the focal point of the offense, problem is not every NBA player is good enough to win when given so many touches...e.g. whole nets team
