danilo gallinari

KNICKS FAN BIAS ALERT:
But i think he has sooooo much potential. He can shoot the lights out and is starting to play great defense and is driving to the hoop well.

So i was wondering what people think...how good can he be?
Can he some day be an all star?

i think he can be an allstar. he has shown he isn't scared of taking and making shots. If he was a second option with a great slasher (lebron) he would be great.

Yeah he might turn out to be

Yeah he might turn out to be a fringe all-star...or a solid 2nd option....I think the next step for him is getting a post-up game.

If Lebron ever does come to

If Lebron ever does come to the Knicks this is the guy who benefits the most, would be a much better number 2 than mo williams.

He seriously has the

He seriously has the potential to be one of the absolute best scorers in the NBA in the future...He could develop into a Detlef Schrempf type player. As someone said, if he develops a post game...He'll be deadly offensively. I've always thought he had the physical tools and was strong for such a young player, but everyone complains about his D. I've always liked the effort he plays with on D, and he's never quite been the liability everyone makes him out to be. He just needed more experience, because every young player goes through defensive lapses for stretches....

what i love most about this

what i love most about this kid is his swagger. You can tell how confident he is in himself and i truly believe a few years down the road he is going to be an all star. Speaking of young Knick players on the rise, how about Wilson Chandler. Ever since his awful November due to his ankle surgery and lack of aggressiveness has been averaging 18 and 6 and shooting 52% since December 1st, the kid is only 22 and I think he will also be a very good player one day.

exactly i dont know why

exactly i dont know why people are saying stars wont come here if they want to win, I think this team is built for a star. with Chandler, Gallo and hopefully they can keep Lee I think those three guys would make a great 2nd, 3rd and 4th option, in no particular order, for a superstar.

i think its because the

i think its because the stars will want money and win and the knicks can give them that and could have a nice starting five but the bench wont be much and you need a bench to win unless you have one guy on the bench who is as good as most starters and the starting five you have is as good a boston or lakers

I agree but the knicks will

I agree but the knicks will have 12 million of cap room again in 2011, or can just use all those expiring contracts next year to acquire talented players with contracts that noone else wants because they wont care about getting under the cap again if they get the player they want (lebron,wade..etc)

How about no ceiling in

How about no ceiling in terms of Euro players.
He could be a Dirk type of player you never no.
This is kind of like his rookie year since he played very lil last year.

Where are those clueless

Where are those clueless Laker fans now that wanna say Chandler and Gallo aren't that good based on watching 2 Knicks games.

I am very impressed with

I am very impressed with Gallinari. His 3 pt accuracy is what stands out about him the most, I don't think he has ever missed an open shot twice in a row yet this season. But what is most surprising to me is his competence on the defensive end. What he lacks in foot speed, he makes up for on IQ, and it really shows on the defensive end. I remember his blocked shot on Acie Law. That saved the game for the Knicks. If he drives to the basket more and showcases the ball handling ability he flashes, he'll be a very dangerous player for years to come.

If the Knicks get Lebron or

If the Knicks get Lebron or Wade, do you think that they could start all 3 in the same lineup? Because if Gallo plays the 4 and don't have any real rebounder or shotblocker, they won't win a championship. This team has 2 very good young players. the problem is they play the same position as the guys they want to bring in. This team could get lebron and win alot of games but lebron doesn't want to JUST win games, he wants championships too. This Knicks team right now with Lebron is like the Suns with D'antoni. maybe a little better because of Lebron. But that still is not championship level. They would need another 2 years after lebron got there at minimum to retool the bench and frontcourt to a championship level. Your starting 5 can only gt you so far. I think if Lebron comes you trade Chandler for the best available deal, wheter it be solid PG or solid big man like a brendan haywood. And they need to keep their draft picks from now on as well because with the money they will have tied up in gallo and lebron the draft will be their best way to bring in talent.

Dhamp2

I'm already on record saying Gallinari isn't that good right now and that his balloned stats are directly correlated to the offense within he plays.

Dhamp2.....

1. I always taking a stand.
2. D-Howard is overated!
3. Sure Melo was a semi-easy pick to lead the NBA in scoring, but there are rougly 250 players in the NBA and I chose and stood by one player!!!! I could've picked Kobe or Lebron, Wade, myself, whoever!!!
4. Big ups to Matt Barnes finally starting in Orlando
5. Carl Landry needs more publicity. He's second on the Rockets team in scoring.

i think hes gonna be a good

i think hes gonna be a good player. i can see his ceiling being that of peja. a all star but not a player you build a team around like dirk. dirk was better at the same stage and im not just talking about stats

Peja cant create off the dribble and is less of an athlete

Peja peaked as a super tall spot up shooter albeit elite

Gallo can do so much more with the ball than Peja,

danilo can handle better

danilo can handle better then peja could though. just because i compare them doesnt mean they are the same. im comparing what his sucess could be at his best. i dont see it being on dirks level because dirk was a better player at the same stage and i just dont see him getting as good as dirk. i dont see him being a player you build a whole team around like these other max players
