Trevor Ariza

Before i Start this topic, Understand i'm a rockets
and Trevor Ariza Fan, I like watching Ariza play,
I dont hate him or anything
but listen, And im saying Facts
Trevor Ariza is OVERRATED
People say he could be the Most improved Player of the year, say hes one of
the most important players in the rockets,
Yes Hes averaging 16ppg, 3.8apg and 5.7rpg
You wanna know the Percentages?
37.7 FG%
31.2 3FG%
65.6 FT%
Last night stats(Against Phoenix)
FG:5-14
3FG:4-11
FT:1-1
15pts, 4 reb,1ast
He has 15attempts a game(down from 20)
Makes only 5 of it
he attemps 6 threes a game making only about 2
so i think, before people say that hes good or a candidate for most improved or whatever
think about it

Ariza isn't a volume

Ariza isn't a volume shooter, but that's what he's doing. Put him as a third option on a team then he'll become a very efficient player just like what he did for the Lakers during the playoffs last year.

yeah, i've seen ariza play a number of games and he has not improved fromlast year. He is just given more freedom. His shooting has been consistently bad. I still think he might be one of the top 2 or 3 perimiter defenders in the game.

i dont agree or disagree,

i dont agree or disagree, trevor isn't the best shooter in the world but he's been asked to do a lot with t-mac out...hes a good player but probably better as a defensive-minded SF then a take-over-game SG...i agree he hasnt improved in fact he was just as effective in LA (in a different way)

i agree its not his fault.

i agree its not his fault. he is being asked to do more then he really should be doing. hes really a third option type of player at best right now on a top team

Yeah

He shot 45% from beyond the arc with the Lakers last year when he didn't have to carry the offensive load.

magic

why do you think the orlando magic traded Ariza for Brian Cook! Kobe Bryant made Trevor Arizia look so good.

the rockets right know don't

the rockets right know don't have a great first option. brooks has great nights but followes it up with a game with only like 7 attempts. Ariza is a great second or third option but isn't a great go to guy.

If Kobe made Ariza look so

If Kobe made Ariza look so good, then what is he still putting up pretty good numbers? Give the man some credit. By the way, why do people knock teams for "overachieving" the last time I checked a W is a W, who cares how you get it.

My thing is this, look at the talent/team he was playing for last year. Ariza could float around the court and for the most part hit open jump shots or cut to the basket. That Lakers arguably had two maybe three people you had to double team. I'm not knocking this years Rocket team, but lets be honest the talent/players for both teams don't add up.

How many people really thought he would be putting up descent numbers? Even more so that Yao and T-Mac was dealing with injures coming into the season. The season is far from done I believe his numbers will get much better, and his D is far from mickey mouse.

lol...the lakers made ariza

lol...the lakers made ariza look good that is true but ariza is also good. the lakers made him look like a better shooter then he is though because teams had to concentrate on kobe, gasol, odom. ariza is a pretty good defender but some of ya'll are overrrating it a lil

Team would

Be better offensively if they started the better shooter Budinger, and brought Ariza off the bench. Chase does not get enough shots up on that team and he would have better percentages than Ariza if he had his minutes, trust that. Use Ariza like the Lakers did. Defensive stopper who can do some things for you occasionally on offense.

from what iread, ariza was

from what iread, ariza was trying to decide between cleavland and houston this summer and the deciding difference was that houston promised him a gauranteed starting spot while cleavland said he would have to compete for minutes. So the benching him idea might not work.

Then

They are hurting their squad. Sit him down and get better shooting and rebounding too. He would help the team better off the bench. Who is Ariza to be dictating time. He is no star sit him down.
