When NBA JAM debuted in 1994..I thought it was the best video game EVER!!!

The music...The graphics were outstanding!!!! If u went to a mall in another city ..u could always tell where the NBA jam machine was.. it would always have an excitable crowd standing around.. some just watching and some waiting to beat the champ... My favorites to play with were the teams of Payton & Kemp and Shaq & Skiles..But some other teams would be ok..Like Thomas & Laimbeer..or Dominque & Augmon..I always picked a team that had a guard and a big man...i dont think milwaukee's team of Blue Edwards & Brad lohaus ever won a game.....Alot of today's announcers are using phases from the NBA JAM GAME...Who can forget
1.He's on FIRE
2.From Downtown
3.BOOM.Shaka-laka
4.WILD SHOT
5.A spectacular DUNK
6.FOR 3
7.is it the shoes?
8.HE'S HEATING UP
But lately some surprising revelations abut the game has surfaced...Mark Turmell the game's creater a lifelong Pistons fan...Admits he was against the Chicago Bulls whenever they played his Pistons...He said the game was adjusted so the Bulls would always lose against his Pistons...

LOL. I was born in '94, but I got this game on the Comp when I was little and always played it. I used Rockets...I think it was Olajuwon & Drexler, of course this was around...2000. Idk. But I've played and it is fun. I like another game too for Nintendo 64...forgot what it's called. NBA on NBC Showtime? Idk. You can use Mascots and everything Great Fun.!

I'm 27 and every year my friend has an NBA Jam party where we drink beer and have usually around a 12 man tournament. I usually am Charlotte with Zo and Larry Johnson, but Its kind of funny how a video game like NBA Jam has such an impact on the culture of those who grew up playing it

nba jam was classic. When it came out I used to play it the bowling alley non stop. Bought it for the sega genesis and had friends over to play. Only arcade maybe along with Mortal Kombat that I ever really got into big time. I bought a xbox version like 6 years ago where you could unlock all kinds of teams like the "monster" team with wolfman throwing down dunks and vampire and invisible man daining 3's. Still classic.

I was a BIG Mortal Kombat fan lol. We used to stand in lines to play it on Arcade when it first came out. I'll never forget it. People with no money would just stand there and watch lol. NBA Jam and Mortal Kombat were the only two games I went crazy over on Arcade.

Loved it

That was my favorite game especially when it came to the sega genesis I played that game for hours upon hours it was one of my favorite games of all time. We use to have NBA JAM tournaments and the winner would win like 20 dollars that was a lot of money back in the day.

The original Mortal Kombat

The original Mortal Kombat was also a great game there were 3 games that i use to play in my early teens they were nba jam, mortal kombat and street fighter 2 those games were the greatest of my time I remember when mortal kombat came out people were making a big deal about the violence and the blood in the game you actually had to put in a blood code for the sega genesis and the super nintendo wouldnt allow blood on their version. those were the days.

Someone in my dorm house had an N64 with NBA Jam, we would play that game from like 10pm to 3am. So much fun. Brought back apart of my childhood. I was a big fan of Sprewell and Chris Mullins for the Golden State Warriors. Also, I loved how on the N64 if you pressed I think one of the yellow arrows it would change Dennis Rodman's hair color.

Also, think about all the

Also, think about all the players in that game who were rookies and are now stars, or former stars depending on your opinion. Allen Iverson, Kobe Bryant, Stephon Marbury and KG T'wolves (killer combo on NBA JAM), Ray Allen, etc.
