well, I'm a kobe fan so I'm

well, I'm a kobe fan so I'm biased on that one. But honestly, Lebron was mvp last year and was crazy good so you can't be mad whoever you go with. I think a lot of people who act like kobe was riding shaq and was just a real "good" player back in the day are either newer fans who weren't watching how great kobe was back in the day or they just forgot. Kobe won his first title at the age of 21 and was dropping crazy numbers well playing great defense. I'm not saying he is better then lebron, but just keep in mind how long kobe has been dominanting this league.

I just think Kobe was the

I just think Kobe was the more complete player... Even when he was 24. Kobe was a lockdown defender at 24. A REAL lockdown defender, not one that was hyped up by ESPN.

they came in different

they came in different situations. Kobe could have scored 20 a night as a rookie if he went to a bad team, but instead he went o the lakers who had 3 other all-stars in van exel, jones and shaq as well as a number of veterans in kersey, horry, and byron Scott. He had some big games when he was a rookie putting 30 on jordan and 30 in the rookie game. But he was not given the same chances right away as lebron was, so an early lebron's numbers were more impressive. Besides, you make it sound like having shaq was all good and only helped kobe, but it also meant he wasn't the number one option and didn't get to have the ball every time down.

And another thing to add in

And another thing to add in here is that LeBron at 24 is way more ball dominant than Kobe at 24. It's not even close.

tht tru, lbj at 24 is more

tht tru, lbj at 24 is more dominate than kobe at 24, but kobe had another super stud to work with, and still got over 27 ppg, impressive

i think he said "ball

i think he said "ball dominant" meaning he had the ball more not necessarily was a more dominant player.

Yea... I meant, ball dominant. LeBron at 24 is a lot more ball dominant than Kobe was at 24.

kobe

The guy just had everything you look for in a scorer while LeBron is more of an all-around tripple-double guy. I take kobe because to me a guy like Kobe is sometimes more valuable because they fit the scorer role on the team as good as anyone else in the league.

I dont know why everyone is

I dont know why everyone is saying Kobe was a better scorer. Just because he had more of a scorer's mentality doesn't mean he was better at it. I will say that I think that may have been Kobe's finest season where he really elevated himself to the #1 option, night in and night out. It was also the season where he went from being a streaky shooter to a deadly shooter. And contrary to some opinions, that was Kobe's most ball dominant year up to that point.

But I have never seen a player asked to do so much for 6 years and accomplish it. Mike Brown asks Lebron to take over offensively because he's by far the Cavs best scoring option. Yet he is their best ball handler, passer, off the ball defender, on the ball defender ( only Kobe and Wade even try to force the issue against Lebron, most would rather pass it off and wait for Lebron to commit to help defense.) His mid range shot is very good, and his three pointer continues to gain consistency. I'd pick Lebron, but its like 9.9 to 9.7. They are very close.
