Luke Babbitt Is A First Round Lock

Finally saw this guy play the other night. He's legit. Very high basketball IQ, and has pretty good quickness and an effortless jumper to make up for slight lack of end to end speed. Very nice passer and good handle for a 6'8" wing. He actually has the best handle outside of Turner as far as the wing prospects go.

I watched him play a little

I watched him play a little too, quicker than I thought, not a great athlete though, saw him go the hoop a couple of times off the dribble and he'd miss the point blank layup because he got bodied up, must gain strength while not deteriorating his already mediocre athleticism.

I'd be more inclined to take

I'd be more inclined to take Gordan Hayward over Babbitt.

Hayward is really impressing

Hayward is really impressing me. Butler is right around the corner from me, so I try to catch games when I can. I REALLY like this kid.

Dunno

As nuch as I would like to say that Luke Babbitt is an NBA draft lock, I just don't see it. Underwhelming athlete, no right hand, streaky against middle to top competition and a position tweener. None of this bodes well for Mr. Babbitt. His best chance would be to stick it out four years and hope for a second round draft slot or a good camp invite. I just don't see it.
