Gilbert Arenas has irritated the sensitive base that exist in sports by supposedly placing a gun before Jarvis Crittenton in joking manner. Speculation suggest that Arenas did this in order to prove a point to Wizards' other Guard, Jarvis Crittenton, that he indeed was bluffing about shooting [Arenas] in the knee over money disputes. This was the affect of confusion over gambling debt between the two. When I first got wind of the story, I thought to myself, this is so Gilbert. Second, I thought, who spilled this confidential episode that shouldn't be released to the public. In sum, whoever dropped the ball on this occurrence, actually was playing on cultural fears. Arenas has always been an expressive type of person, as you can recall with past antics. For instance, a past recording - shown below - of Arenas and Stevenson displayed the two engaging in competitive spirits, over who could hit the most three-pointers. That recording echoed the true Gilbert Arenas, an humorous, free spirited type of person. In fact, I feel this whole event has been blown out of proportion. Lets be real, my kind, African Americans, we don't act cordial and proper like the masses when it comes to "Cash Flow". Conversely, I must admit, the whole purpose that presented animosity between the two was very immature and foolish - nothing was going to escalate past the flashing of guns, as in fact, did. Though, Reporters were out of alignment since the story surfaced. Initially, their stance was that Arenas and his teammates drew guns on each other, which was totally exaggeration and played exclusively on cultural alliances. Now, as of today, their intentionally misinterpreting his context, of which he stated Monday that Commissioner Stern is "mean". Any person with common sense knew Arenas' definition of such claim. Based on Stern's past of giving earnest punishments, I would consider them mean, too. Cut Gilbert some slack, his profile is very productive, persuasive and far from what [Reporters] are trying to draft him as. It's not fair to paint an ill portrait of Arenas through cultural lenses. Let me end this by saying this: everybody involve with this conflict is wrong.

why is he eben playing? what a disgrace
DAAAAAAAM DUDE..I see your point...Arenas is known as a jokester..Some of his antics use to be funny..Like laying his jersey on the court then waiting for a stampede of fans to fight over it..But there is nothing funny about pointing or playing with someone with a gun..Even if its not loaded....He was still joking pointing his finger at teammates like it was guns in the locker room....Then saying crazy things afterwards about the incident..Come'on now dude..Gilbert is a grown man..Not a 6 year old..He could've stored those guns in a safe...I think he needs mental help..Dude is crying out for help..They said Jason Williams(the 1 that played at st. johns) use to play with friends at his home with his guns..Then 1 day he made the terrible mistake of thinking it wasn't loaded.....When he shot and killed that limo driver it was too late to say he was sorry and didnt know it was loaded......
Jayson Williams, White Chocolate doesn't want to be associated wit that haha.
its just interesting that no white NBA player has ever been charged with any gun-related incidents...not a racist, just trying to see if this is a trend
On PTI yesterday Tony and Michael both stated if they brought a gun to work they would be fired. That is about the case with any other person in America. I don't think it is race related, I just think it's stupid for someone to be so arrogant to think they can bring a gun into a locker room. If any of us no matter what our race or social standing brought a gun to work and pulled it out, whether it was a joke of not, what do you think would happen? I know I'd be out of work, why is a millionaire playing a joke any different?
what kinda joke is bringing guns to the arena?..especially with the harsh laws that my home town has about guns. joe you wouldnt just be out of work you would be going to jail
Damn straight I would, Thats my point, why should Gilbert still be able to play and be free of any legal repercussions because it was a joke and he has money.
Arenas is idiotic, he has still laughing and making jokes about it, i'm glad he got suspended.
