I know Price was a second round pick and isn't the same level as Evans, Jennings, Lawson, Flynn and Curry but he is slowly looking more and more like the future for the Pacers at the point.
He had 7-3-3 in 13mins today and has been playing well lately, can we add him to the list of PG's from the 09 draft with a very bright future?
If you consider him developing into a back-up PG a bright future, then I think he will.
I think he has more potential than that. He was a very solid product in his freshman and didn't do to bad then after his behavior and injury it knocked him back even more but he can still play basketball, that's a given.
see him having a backup role career.
aj price can be a very consistent and reliable backup PG for his entire career...indiana needs to get rid of watson and ford and draft a PG perhaps willie warren to give them a scoring boost
Earl Watson is one of the best backup PGs in the league =\
I like Warren but there are so many question marks about his game. If we can't get John Wall i just say go for the best player on the board if that's warren fine but i would rather see Turner, Johnson or Bradley.
I seen Willie play once in person and couple times on TV this year. No question he is awesome scorer when the ball is in his hands. But i do question his play making ability for others around him. Not high on his ability to see the court and pass the ball. And DEF. not a big fan on his attitude/demeanor he carries on the court. A lot of people on this site have been talking on bout him playing PG on the next level, but i seriously doubt it. I am not saying he cant play PG on the next level, but I see it really difficult happening. He looks more like a combo guard or small shooting guard. He can very turnover prone as well.
Aj price has potential- big up LONG ISLAND!!
I see him as a backup, Indiana is so depleated now, Josh McRoberts has been gotten a start or two. I agree with the majority of posters on this thread that say he could be a good backup. Which isn't a knock, I think he'll be in the league a while. He is a rookie who is NBA ready, just not a very high ceiling in my opinion. If Ford were playing still he wouldn't be getting minutes for a non-playoff team.
