1. Kidd is one of the best

1. Kidd is one of the best all around PGs of all time. Iverson is a highlight machine and Steve Nash is the best offensive playmaker ever

2. Both are great, but right now its Dirk. Maybe Melo can pass him eventually but iv got to give it to Dirk

3. Duncan has 4 rings. LeBron could have 4 rings when its all said and done but Duncan is the best PF of all time, but Lebron could end up being the best SF of all time so its really hard to say but Lebron should win a few rings but Duncan has already shown he has what it takes

4. Pierce without question. McGrady cant even get out of the first round. Things could have turned out very differently for McGrady but he got lazy and injured

nash, iverson, kidd- i would

nash, iverson, kidd- i would say iverson and nash could be a toss up. Nash has clearly been better recently, but the first half his career in dallas he was good, but nothing too special. Meanwhile Iverson was a franchise player year in and year out. Kidd is third although he is my personal favorite of the 3. Kidd first few years in the league he was very exciting.

dirk or melo-dirk. Better now imo and better career so far. Melo might surpass him eventually, but defenitely dirk up to now.

Lebron or duncan-lebron will be the better of the two when it is all said and done, but you have to go with duncan right now for better career. He is arguably the greatest pf of all time and won multiple titles.

McGrady or Pierce-There is not a doubt in my mind that McGrady has been the better player. He was at one point a mvp candidate and there was a year where even i thought he was about as good as Kobe for best perimiter player in the game, somehting I've only said about Lebron as well. Prime tmac owns prime pierce. However, tmac has been injured and does not have a title like pierce does. If they both retired today, it would be a toss up for better career.

lol.
first of all kidd may not have won mvps like nash has. but kidd has always been known for making his teammates better, known for setting them up with beautiful passes, crashing the boards , getting triple doubles in the game, iverson is and will always be a great playmaker who can score at will, nasty crossovers, pure heart and toughness.

2.dirk is a great player and all. but ima take melo. since he arrive in denver he has been overlook for what he does best.
a natural scorer who when motivated and in shape plays like he wants to be the best.like i said dirk is good and all but when it comes to the playoffs. he doesnt play his heart out.

3.duncan has won 4 rings. but lebron is not a power forward so are we having this conversation,

4.pierce or tmac- lol come on now before tmac got hurt and all he was the &$#%#&@! man. he was mention next to kobe even at one point mention if he was better than kobe, plus he led all those bad magic teams full or scrubs except mike miller to the playoffs. and you wanna say pierece. when boston was down pierce couldnt even lead them to playoffs without having another star next to me.

1) Kidd wins. Kidd has lead

1) Kidd wins. Kidd has lead a team where the second best player was Kenyon Martin to two finals. Thats more than anyone but Duncan on this list. During his prime, he may have been as good as any point guard ever defensively.

2) Dirk, because he's been playing longer. Melo started off his career quicker, and at his best will probably be better than Dirk. But career wise, Dirk has been too good.

3) Same argument for Duncan. Duncan is the greatest power forward of all time... All NBA first team his rookie year?? Defensive first team? Lebron has a chance to pass him, but I'm definitely taking Duncan's career until Lebron gets multiple titles.

4) To me a lot off people are looking at this wrong. If theres no Ray Allen or Kevin Garnett, then T Mac's individual achievements stand up by themselves. Actually, to me, both of these guys do very similar things at a very similar rate. TMac's been injured a lot lately, but when healthy, there was no doubt in my mind TMac was the better player. Paul Pierce is extremely good, a hall of famer, but TMac was as good as Kobe at one point. Kobe just continued to improve and stay healthy.

the thing with pierce vs

the thing with pierce vs tmac, is that when they are both retired we will look back and talk about what pierce accomplished for the celtics while we will probably be talking about how TMac could have been so much better and what he failed to accomplish for multiple teams. That's why i say they are a toss up career wise becuase if we are just talking about who is better when healthy, it's not even that close really.

Iverson or Kidd or Nash?

Iverson or Kidd or Nash? Neither of the 3 have a championship, so I can just say who I think was the better basketball player without someone associating career achievements in the conversation...With that said I think Iverson was the best ball player of the 3....Nash was the best one at making others better....Kidd was the best all-around player...but neither took over games like A.I......so that's my choice..

Dirk or Melo? Dirk is the better player now, Melo in the future...Both will be HOFers I believe...Also neither will be known as the cream of the crop greats, but great players that didn't win a ring and put up huge #'s

LeBron or Duncan? Here's the one I was interested to get answers for....Duncan has 4 rings and dominated this decade so he has had the better career, LeBron is definitely better now, and I believe he will probably be the best all time when he does retire, but to answer the ?, its Duncan.

McGrady or Pierce?McGrady was the better player no doubt...He is one of the best scorers ever, Pierce was a scorer also but no-where close to as good as McG...People always said that both were just great scorers and nothing else but I think McGrady would have one of the all-time greats no doubt...So thats my choice, even if Pierce has a ring

Kidd. I think he's had the

Kidd. I think he's had the better overall career and I think he'll go down as one of the top five point guards ever. He led the Nets to two NBA Final appearances. It's arguable that he should've won the MVP Award over Tim Duncan in 2001-2002. At one point, he was a threat to pick up a triple double every game. If I was picking a team and had to choose between the prime Kidd, prime Nash and prime AI to lead my team... I'm taking the prime Kidd every day of the week. The prime Kidd (not the old guy we see today lol) was a great defender and just all-around player. Kidd made the All-NBA Defensive First Team four times and the second team five times... I just think that and his overall game sets him a part.

Dirk. This is easy. Dirk has been great for a long time now. He's led his team to the Finals and won the MVP. He's had a great career and isn't finished yet.

Duncan. This is easy too. LeBron is great, but Duncan is one of the greatest players of the decade and arguably the best power forward of all time. LeBron will be the greatest player of the next decade.

Tough one. T-Mac was a great player in his prime, better than Pierce, but has since been injured. McGrady has also never been out of the first round of the playoffs... Pierce on the other hand has and that was way before he teamed up with KG and Allen. Pierce now has a ring. When they both retire, I'd say Pierce had the better overall career from start to finish. The prime McGrady was a better player than the prime Pierce, but I think Pierce has had the better career.

He got robbed

Jason Kidd got robbed off that 2001-02 MVP... If there is anybody who'll ask me who's the 2002 MVP, my answer will alwys be Jason Kidd because of the way he transformed a laughing stock into Eastern Champs... I always check up his stats every game to see whether or not he'll get a triple-double... I would be disappointed if he is a rebound or an assist shy of making it...LOL

He turned that team into a

He turned that team into a contender within the timing of a single training camp lol. 52-30 record... One of the biggest turnarounds in NBA history... Led them to the Finals for the first time in franchise history. He was the MVP in my book.

Nice picture by the way Mikenike lol.

no doubt

In trivias or whatever, if that question comes up Who's the 2002 NBA MVP? My answer would be Jason Kidd... I don't give a crap if they mark it wrong because that's just how I see it that time... It's uncomforting to know that Steve Nash got 2 MVP's while J-Kidd got robbed (sigh)...

mikenike, why a shark?LOL

i used to always check kidds

i used to always check kidds stats too as well as grant hills for triple doubles. Those guys woule get one every week it seemed. I loved playing as kidd on all the video games just stuffing the stats.

But i still disagree with you about him deserving that mvp. The lakers swept the nets easy in the finals and tim duncan was in his prime that year. Kidd was great, but an mvp should be able to step up and score and make the big plays when his team needs it most. Kidd was always a great team player who made other guys better, but he wasn't gonna takeover the final 5 minutes by himself and put his team on his back. He was the same player in the final 5 minutes as he was in the first 5 and that is a big part of what makes an mvp in my mind is the ability to pick it up and win a game by yourself

I agree with you, but the

I agree with you, but the Spurs only won one more game than the Nets did vs the Lakers during the playoffs in 2002 lol. Spurs got beat four games to one in the Semifinals. I don't really think you can use the Nets getting swept as a reason why Kidd shouldn't have been MVP.

I also wouldn't say they swept the Nets fairly easy. Every game was close, except game two or three I think.

With that being said, you can't really argue with Duncan being the MVP. He had a great season.

when i say the nets were

when i say the nets were swept, i wasn't meaning to use that against kidd as far as accomplishments. But i watched him very closely being a laker fan. And Kidd is one of my all time favorite players and i have nothing against him. But plain and simple, he was not able to pick his team up and take it to another gear during crunch time and that was painfully obvious in the finals. I remember him commiting turnovers and missing open shots down the stretch. MVP's like kobe, shaq, lebron, nash, duncan, iverson, even dirk are capable of saying give me the ball and get out my way. Kidd never had that. If anything he was even less effective down the stretch of close games because he preffered the uptempo style and in halfcourt sets, his lack of a consistent jumper hurt him.

Great player, no question. The best in any one season, nope.
