since theres always a what if for lebron to the knicks i wonder what peopel think abou tthe what if he goes to the nets since that is a team hes considering
I think that they have a better chance than the Knicks, even if they are the worst team in Basketball now. Are they going to Brooklyn? If so, then yeah that's where he would be going other than the Cavs.
The Nets win a lot more games than 3 a third of the way through the season.
i mean how do you think they would do if he went there
C - Lopez
SF - LeBron/Williams/Najera
SG - Douglas-Roberts/Lee
PG - Harris/Dooling
- Top five pick in the 2010 NBA Draft (They could keep their pick or trade it for another established star... Or trade Harris if they land Wall... However they want to do it.)
- They'll still have money to spend
I think LeBron would have this team team competing for a championship by the 2012 season.
I actually would like a starting backcourt with Wall and Harris in it. Harris is more of a scoring pg, so moving him to the 2 might be an advantage on there part. I like teams who play with 2 point guards, it makes it more fun to watch imo. Think about it.
That could be scary
The question is if they get lebron and J Wall will they get instant contensers for the championship ?
I would say, the Nets would be really good. I think they would go after John Wall even if they add LeBron.
I wouldn't be shocked if they did a deal to trade thier high 1st round pick and Harris to get the #1 pick to take Wall
No, wit Wall and LeBron on the wings...Harris wouldn't even sniff the leather on that ball...They need a knock down shooter that can play D alongside them at the 2.
This is actually my pick for where LeBron ends up. If they don't get the num 1 pick then they could fill the holes in around LeBron, prolly by taking a PF like Favors or Motijenaus (SP wrong).
Harris, CDR, LeBron, top 5 pick, Lopez with T-Will, Lee, Yi, Dooling off the bench contends for a championship for a long time. If they get the top pick and trade Harris for a PF then draft Wall....they would be considered too good haha.
why wouldnt harris sniff the ball?...we all know lebron is a willing passer and wall has shown even in college where he is playing with less talented players that he is also a willing passer. smart move is keep both and see how they work out then if it doesnt you trade. dumb move is trade harris without seeing how wall does in the nba. chances are good that he will do well but nothing is certain
They wont be instant contenders for winning a championship cause the east is dominated by low post play..
Garnett, Howard, Bosh, Sheed...they will no doubt be on the ESPN top 10 number one every night they play.
Lebron is going to the New York Knicks.
does anyone know if the nets are actually moving to brooklyn? I heard that they haven't even made it final yet and it could take a few years to build the arena once they do decide. Do you think Lebron would be willing to play in nj for a few years if they aren't going to brooklyn any time soon?
And yes, I think the nets would be the best situation for lebron between nj, ny, or cle.
why would you give up Devin Harris for John Wall??????
Damn, there are a lot of Knick fans on this site..
i see him staying in cleveland or miami. maybe nets.. each have a better supporting cast then the knicks. alot of people on here have said they would give up harris after drafting wall. the same people say that every year when some the new it guy does something in college so dont pay too much attention to it
Im not saying I would.
What I'm saying is I wouldn't be surprised.
The Nets have been flaky on Harris. Last offseason, they were shopping him under the table ( One deal was Harris for LaMarcus Aldridge)
lol..yeah there are.. most you dont hear from untill they start winning like they have lately
to be honest every team shops a player under the table at one point or another. seeing if they can get a deal for a better player
They should draft JaJuan Johnson with there later pick, an athletic forward with lopez would be nasty especially if they draft wall, trade harris and for iggy and speights
Wall - Iggy - Lebron - Yi - Lopez
Skip to my Lou - Williams - CDR - Johnson - Speights
jajuan johnson off the bench right? cuz he wont start. and yi has been playing very well right now...15ppg 7reb
Not a Knick fan but the League needs him in NYC.....Lebron wont even think twice about going to the Nets!!! Jay-Z is his guy we all know that but why play in Dirty Jerz when u can play in the Mecca, the Big Apple, Times Square...Jay Z runs NY but does business with the Net.....
Whoa quincey lets not get to hot on Johnson yet!
hot on johnson?...you got me mized up with that guy hes hot on johnson, and the leauge doesnt need lebron in nyc. the leauge has survived without him there so far and they would survive without him there later...not sure some of ya'' realize but it makes more sense for the nba to have stars in small markets since big market teams like newyork are already selling out games. lebron leaves cleveland and money drops in that area which means lower overall revenue. so in reality if you you wanna mention needs the leauge needs lebron to stay in cleveland
I completely disagree
A bigger market mean more money, more exposure team play better.....for example who like it when San Antonio wins a NBA title....nobody..cause nobody goes to San Antonio...we know nobody there its jus a historical City we learned about in a 6th Grade Social Studies Class. lol and i know quincey that u hated watching Cleveland vs. San Antonio in the Finals......
I'm not hot on him its just he would fit well in the nets system
doesnt matter who likes it. imagin a team in san antonio or okc without durant or duncan?..big market teams like the knicks are gonna make money reguardless if stars are there or not..like i said before the knicks are sold out with the roster they have now. with lebron you think they gonn asell more tickets?..nope because they are already sold out..you think the people in small market towns are gonna still go to th games without there star playing there?..you think okc sells as many tickets without durant?..gotta stop looking at it as a fan and look at it through the eyes of a business man
Im sure the Knicks do not sell out on the road in small markets. look at the small market franchises that have folded
small markets that folded mr. GM
Lebron to the Nets thats a joke. Don't be fooled by Devin Harris and Brook Lopez they aren't that great.
Team won't even win 20 games this year, might as well just stay in Cleveland than play in NJ with an unproven coach and a mess.
It would be a great fit. Harris and Lopez aren't number 1 guys. plain and simple. But they would be very very good number 2 guys. Courtney Lee is a solid role player, he's not a go to guy or a 20 ppg type of player. He'd be an excellent fit with Lebron cuz he can shoot the 3 and defend pretty well. CDR isn't a go to scorer. He'd be a solid 6th man though I'd think. He could be that guy who comes in and gives a scoring spark off the bench.
And theres a real good chance that Lebron wouldn't be coming alone...as there are alot of solid PF's available next year like Boozer, Stoudemire, and Bosh. That may be unlikely but even if they could add a second tier 4 man like Udonis Haslem or Marcus Camby, this team could be in serious business. They will have a top 3 pick most likely which will get them another asset.
This team is filled with role players, not a go to guy though.
If you look at this from Lebrons perspective...who has the better supporting cast? New York (chandler, Gallinari) Cleveland (Williams, West, Parker) or New Jersey (Harris, Lopez, Lee)? I think its a pretty easy choice.
Given that and the whole JZ and Brooklyn factor (which may or may not even be true or realistic), New Jersey has a chance to land Lebron and realistically be a beast in the East.
gall that rant of pure speculation was fun!
if harris and lopez arent that good then chandler and gallo are definatly not that good because neither are as good as lopez and harris. and this is wat if. just like what if he goes to the knicks even though chances are he wont go there either
