Melo or Durant

Its kobe vs. lebron JV version...both guys are young (melo is 25 and durants 21)

stats:

Durant: 28.5 ppg, 6.9 rpg, 3 apg, 48% FG, 86% FT, 1.5 spg, 31% FT

Anthony: 30 ppg, 6.4 rpg, 3.3 apg, 47% FG, 86% FT, 1.1 spg, 36% 3PT

i personally like melo because of what he's done in the league..close though

what do u guys think?

In my opinion kevin durant

In my opinion kevin durant is better based on the fact that he is carrying his team on his shoulders to become a playoff bound team. Denver has a much better supporting cast compared to Oklahoma City including more depth. Both great players but i give the edge to Durant

better supporting cast?

better supporting cast? durant has jeff green, russell westbrook, and solid bench players like james harden and nick collison...i agree melo's is better but he's doing the same job of carrying his team on his shoulders that durant is doing

Billips, Nene, Anderson, JR

Billips, Nene, Anderson, JR Smith. Denver is much better right now with their supporting cast. In two years the thunder will be dominating but the nuggets veteran experience is definitely ahead of the thunders young potential, but not for long

No comparison

It's really hard to predict the future, based on injuries and all. But if there were no injureis, I'll take Melo and still build on him as a francise over Durant.

Reason why, Melo is the best PURE scorering in this league if not Kobe. Melo has all the offensive tools that anyone could have in this game. He can score in multiple ways and from anywhere on the court. Melo's most dangerous ability is being able to hit that mid range jumper.

Don't get me wrong, Durant is good but he doesn't shoot as good as Melo and he doesn't use his body.

I'd have to disagree, length

I'd have to disagree, length is part of using your body and Durant uses his length to the max, but Melo is still the better player

i would take melo, he is a

i would take melo, he is a better rebounder than his stats show and is a much better post player. neither really do much besides score and i think melo can score in more ways.

"Durant is good but he

"Durant is good but he doesn't shoot as good as Melo" - No way is Melo a better shooter than Durant, maybe mid range but isnt all that better from mid range (15-18ft) from 18ft and out Durant is a better shooter and he has more range than Melo... I think Melo is a better player but Durant will be a better player when its all said and done... Durant (barring injury) will be putting up crazy numbers once he fills out and he starts to reach his peak... Prediction for Durant at Melo's age 30ppg 10reb 3asst and 1.5blks..

close, but i'd take melo. He

close, but i'd take melo. He has a more physical game that allows him to get guys in foul trouble and punish weaker defenders. I don't think Durant will ever over power guys in this league. Also, at 6-10, I'm not sure how much he can improve as a ball handler breaking guys down.

He may not be able to

He may not be able to improve breaking people down with his dribble but he can improve his post up game, his mid range, footwork, working with out the ball, which will improve his offensive efficency...
