hmm

not sure how they are gonna get rubio, while keeping galinari.

Twolves have nothing they would have to offer. If they trade Rubio it will be for a legit asset. Knicks don't have a top pick this year, wolves don't need PF's. ( lee, hill ) Wilson chandler isn't much.

If Rubio goes anywhere it will be to the pacers, wizards, kings or something that would make a better trade option. Knicks simply have NOTHING to offer.

i agree with Sup, if they

i agree with Sup, if they can trade nate for rubio that would be great but they would probably have to give more, Wilson Chandler mabye?

Like always though that is completely based on getting a 2010 free agent.

For know i would trade Nate for a young big, see if the Clippers are well the Clippers and would give up DeAndre Jordan. A good Point that can shoot would be nice but Chris Duhon is actually pretty good.

Id rather have wilson

Id rather have wilson chandler than rubio. How are you going to call wilson chandler not much? Wilson is only 22 years old, check his last month.

ok

fine by me, you keep wilson chandler

I'd rather draft turner/wesley johnson and keep rubio anyways. Don't want the inconsistent chandler.

sorry but even if they get

sorry but even if they get Rubio and keep Gallenari their not gonna be able to dump Curry, and Jeffries which it improssible to sign Bosh, Lee, and Lebron to huge deals (Bosh and Lebron Max and Lee huge money too).

The knicks are one star away

The knicks are one star away from being a great team. They are going to make the playoffs this year and replace the expiring contracts of hughes, nate (if they dont trade him to get rid of jeffries), duhon, Harrington with _____ (insert one of the many stars that are free agents here), resign david lee who is creeping up to bosh and amare in terms of how well he is playing, and let their quickly improving young players (gallo and chandler grow), maybe resgin harrington for MLE if he agrees and become a top 3 team in the east next year. All that and then on top of that have 15 million of spending money in 2011. I think they will be fine =]

they definitely don't need

they definitely don't need bosh, lebron and lee to be successful.
A group of lebron, lee, chandler, gallo and maybe a raymond felton?. With douglas, hill, maybe al harrington (if he takes paycut...MLE?) and bender off the bench, would be one of the best teams in the league.

Interesting idea

Get rubio, lebron and bosh. Keep galinari and Lee that doesn't work.

I like the other idea Lebron, Lee, Gallo, Chandler, Nate and try to get Felton.
But I'd pass on Harrington.

nothing inconsistent about

nothing inconsistent about him, he was coming off an injury his first month, and last year was his first year actually playing averaging 14 and 5. The first month he wasn't being himself not driving or being aggressive you can see his ankle was bothering him. Ever since then he has been very consistent and very efficient shooting about 52% the last 20 games or so, this kid is going to be a very good player. As for Rubio he will never come to Minnesota because he knows how miserable that place is he would rather live in Spain and make millions there.

yup

Clearly new york is the only place a kid would want to play, evidence by all their amazing free agents lately they have got. It will be a funny day when wade/lebron and company don't show up there. Keep believing you're the only place out there.

I'd much rather be in minnesota shoes. We should have 3 1st round picks this year, knicks 0. We have 2 very good european assets either for us or to be traded ( rubio, pekovic)

Lots of cap room just like NY.

Jefferson/Love > ny front court
Flynn/Sessions > duhon

Brewer and chandler are a wash, chandler scores a few more pts, brewer better D. Neither are great, they are stop gap players. Not core players on a winning team.

Future is much brighter here, Rubio would have a much better shot to win here.

First off i never said new

First off i never said new york is the only place, its just not a black hole like minny, second if you knew your facts you would know the knicks have no had cap space to sign anyone since 1996, when they made some of the biggest signings of that summer with allan houston and chris childs (he was really good the year before), and jordan himself admitted he was very close to signing with the knicks that summer. Last i checked the knicks are also having a much better season than the twolves, who actually got abused by the pacers last night, the same team the knicks beat by 43. The wolves future is not brighter if the knicks can sign anybody worth a max contract they right away become a top 5 team in the NBA with a supporting cast of Gallo, Chandler, Lee, Hill and Douglas. I also expect the knicks to trade for or buy a late first round pick like they did last year. The twolves do have some nice young talent but guess what there are about 12-13 teams in the western conference with better young talent, nice young talent is not enough to get it done, esp in the west. Which is why a max free agent signing, something the twolves can never do, or extreme luck in the lottery and landing a number on pick like wall is really the only way to reach relevance in the NBA these days.

haha

keep believing that everyone wants to play there, and you will land James or a wade. I'll be here to laugh when you get stiffed and are left with a 2nd or 3rd tier guy, and no first round draft picks.

Of course knicks have a better season, we traded foye/miller not great but solid players and have a great asset now in Rubio, which we can use for our team ( if he ever wants to come to the nba its through us ) or trade him for a high price.

We have 3 1st round picks this year, 2 very good euro prospects ( pekovic, rubio ) and I'd take jefferson and Love over any forward you guys have Lee included. Flynn is clearly better than Duhon and offers a much bigger upside.

I'll take our current prospects in Europe, mutliple first round picks and young talent all day over Knicks. Heck toney douglas and Hill can't even get run. It's not like they have all stars in front of them.

Unless you land a Lebron or Wade, ( which I'd bet just about anything you wont.) twolves future is brighter and by quite a bit.

I can roll with a roster of..

Flynn
Evan Turner
Rudy Gay or Caron Butler ( which could be had in trade for expirings )
Love
Jefferson

and still having the rubio/pekovic asset in hand + utah and bobcats 1st round picks.

Agree with HotShot

I agree with HotShot, Knicks are not going to land, Wade or James, who they want bad. Even if they get Bosh, they'll just be like TO with no help around Bosh. The top free agents don't want money, they want to win Championships. Out of the top free agents, Wade is the only one to win a ring, the rest of the top free agents aren't going to go anywhere, where they can't win a ring. I don't think they want to be remember as a great player not winning a ring; examples: Malone, Stockten, Ewing, Barkley, R. Miller, and Kemp.

Knicks might get Amare and Bosh but they already have Lee, they going to be underside front court, which will be dominated by Howard all year long. They better off, clearing the house and starting fresh with low contracts and decent MLE.

Wolves do have a bright future if you think about what they will be able to do. Yeah, they are not winning right now but that is apart of their plan. Imagine if they do get the #1 overall pick with Wall. They'll be able to do so much to rearrange thier roster with 4 pgs that any team in the league would want (Flynn, Rubio, Session, Wall). They also have 2 PF that could help that they can move. Packing a pg and pf could land them some great players or one great player to fill their need.

If they don't get the overall #1 pick, they can still get two lottery pick, landing them either: Wes Johnson, Turner, or Henry would help their wing along with picking up a center in, Cole Aldridge, Monroe, Sanders, Soloman and etc. On top of all this, they still have about 15 million in cash to spend.

the knicks arent a top 5

the knicks arent a top 5 team if they sign any of the max contract players...not sure what you are smoking but ill take what ever it is. bosh is a max player so if the knicks sign him then they are a top 5 team?..as far as rubio . he doesnt have the money to buy out of his contract next year and the knicks can only put 500k towards it at most ..actually thts for the year after also. the buy out is just too high. as far as lee he is a free agent this year and wit the money hes asking for if the knicks do resign him they wnt have enough to sign a max contract player. this summer the knicks will live or die by who they sign because lee will be gone one of there top players in al harrington will be gone so its a must that they sign 2 max players and im not sure if they have enough money to do that
